this has been my favorite song since the first time i heard it years ago. i listen to it with my eyes closed and after all this time it still brings a tear to my eye. it is so powerful and spiritual. i sense sorrow and loss, yet honor, pride and victory as well. the prayer at the end is the crowning touch. i feel renewed every time i hear it. thank you for sharing this with us.

Every time I listen to this beautiful haunting piece of music, I am sweetly reminded of my beautiful angels who have passed on. They were pow wow dancers and very likely danced to the music of the Indian Creek Singers while they were here among us. I am so glad ICS collaborated with Mr. Spotted Eagle on this music. People can get angry at Spotted Eagle and call him all manner of wannabes...but one thing is clear, he is a true man. I think the Creator gave him this walk...obviously. It's evident that he respects Native culture and I can feel the Great Spirit in this song. Beautiful! I first heard this on the DVD "Watersongs", a video of Yosemite's waters, meadows, flowers, and mtns, by Sterling Johnson, and music done by Douglas Spotted Eagle. In the commentary feature towards the end, he mentions the music "Arrival" and shuts up to let the beauty of the photography and music take over, a fitting ending to the DVD, enough to bring tears to my eyes in appreciation. This song is being sang by the Indian Creek singers, My dad Herman who is one of the orginal singers composed this song, with my aunt talking in Navajo at the end, a prayer for walking in beauty. I was one of the young dancer and i love to listen to this song alway when im happy and sad, it does lift my spirts and i am proud to be apart of this family and have gone threw a great experience with Douglas and the Voice of Native America dance crew!!
