I played this when I was like 3 and it was awesome. Course it was only the demo on the Acer we had. I remember my mom not wanting me to see a part. Time to see if its on here.
I remember the demo of this game came with an old black Acer PC my family bought. I always wanted to play the full version but it wasn't in stores in my country :( ..... recently I found out this game became freeware (the full version; Tyrian 2000 ) and finally played it =D
I really like old games like this one. They are cool. And not like the new online games where kids from all over the world are pissing you off by telling shit trough whole game.... -.-
@DaNorthernLight Not sure if the impossible/suicide/lord difficulties qualify as easy :D But yeah I see where you're going with it, the game takes a quick turn after Asteroid city i think, you get heaps of money and upgrades, and it's easy from there.
Also, the episodes did get helluva weird later on hahah. Do take in mind that on Tyrian fan forum, the author of the game made a post, saying he's stunned at how popular it still is, when it was "just a fun game" to him, from his early 20's :)
@jj2FawFuL Wait what... he did music for Unreal Tournament too? You wouldn't happen to know if he's still up and doing this stuff? Because I haven't heard better in-game music than Tyrian 2000 & UT.
You made me download it again. What else to say about game, which still remains the ability to be playable and catchy after almost 15 years? Good old times. :)
Not sure if I miss the 90's or just miss being a kid...

Where can I find the mp3s for this? The one site I'm aware of that used to host them has gone down.

@Madad134 HAHAHA... nice comment, but it definitely loses to E1M1. This does make you nostalgia tho, so it's still great.
