I love this movie so much, I'm so glad it's availabe on youtube every Christmas for me to watch. Of course, being French, I had that movie on VHS in French but since I can't play it anymore, this is just as awesome. I just wish they'd release it on DVD. =(

I used to adore this movie when I was a kid. We also had it on an old VHS that my mum had taped all the Christmas specials on. I've been trying to find it, but never seemed to be able to before. So glad I've found it now.

I noticed that they add a small and subtle hint with the ballet-not including the music. The ballet slippers Clara was given and the dances she does are subtle enough, and yet they are so important to this film. I fear I'd think there was a missing piece if they left the two out.

My mother went to a party once when she was younger that was hosted by a woman who clearly didn't know very much about what she was actually using at the party, because my mother flatly refused to drink any of the punch and when asked why, she asked the hostess where she'd gotten the bowl she was using for the punch.
