  • It is an act of sophistry to suggest that Dawkins would want you to adopt his opinion merely on the basis of faith, how can you fear someone that preaches 'think for yourself' unless that principle itself threatens your religion.

  • Sorry you did ask a question at the end and the answer is no. If your true fear of atheism is another Stalin then to avoid it it would probably be best to have a gradual movement of religion away from politics and dimish its social importance rather than letting a person fill the void left after a previous divine ruler has been removed.

  • You managed to talk for nearly 15 minutes without saying anything. So what if Dawkins or Maher are harsh with your precious cult, if you truly believe in the righteousness and accuracy of your religion then all the criticism in the world should not harm you. Keep it to yourself if you don't want people to talk about it.

  • i share you same fear

  • you are smart i know what your talking about

  • Is he arguing ORGANIZED religions? Or someones belief in a God in general?

  • Wasn't that the rabbi who got caught running huge international organ theft and trafficking network?

  • We're being dicks because your ideals of a omniscient god is plain bullshit. There's absolutely no evidence for any "higher power" and yet people claim that these "holy texts" hold "divine truth." NO!! We need to use Science and Reason to find what the truth is. Its not scientifically unbiased to say it IS god when we just simply don't know.

  • @MetalxXxMayhem Did you ever consider that perhaps you are "being dicks" because you are simply dicks, dismissing historical fact, using selective perception when overtly criticizing Christianity, listing whatever negative thing you can say while all the while (and conveniently for your arguments) dismissing the overwhelming positive aspects of Christianity. As for Hitler, Hitler BRAGGED how he could lie and contradict himself and there are many quotes by Hitler condemning Christianity,

  • @1105Chance Overwhelmingly positive? Have you even read the Bible? Stalin was an atheist, but that doesn't represent all atheists. Not all Christians do bad things in the name of the Bible, but that's only because they don't believe in it literally. If they did, people would be getting stoned for working on Sundays, get stoned for being gay, and we'd burn prostitutes at the stake. Don't tell me the Bible is overwhelmingly positive.

  • @MetalxXxMayhem LMAO, yes I have read the Bible...more times than you would imagine. I"m watching Dr. Who right now and don't have time to quibble with you, but that part about reading the Bible made me laugh. Hahaha

  • i agree with dawkins, hitchens and others in many ways. and i'm sorry, but the superstitious fanatics of the world DON'T help their cause any.

  • A few guys write a couple of BOOKS that criticize religion and these religious nut jobs are freaking out ?

If religion was rational in any way at all then it would take more than a BOOK and WORDS to change peoples minds !!!

  • @OppressedAnarchist Atheism has killed millions in the 20th century. Never under any religion do we see that kind of large scale carnage as in the atheist Soviet Union where under atheist Stalin we saw 20 million killed. Under atheist Mao from 1958 to 1962, at least 45 million people were worked, starved or beaten to death in China over these four years.

Hitler too was atheist, in the process of banning all the Bibles.

  • @Rockguitarnow That is a STUPID argument. There is no evidence that religion or non religion leads to individuals killing. Hitler was baptized a Christian and quoted Christianity to justify his immoral actions. If you look at how dictators run countries they simply replace god with themselves. I am not going to start playing the numbers game. Religious nuts have killed countless people in the name of their "god" but I am not going to use that argument... Your argument holds no ground...

  • @OppressedAnarchist No Hitler never claimed Christianity as part of his new reich. Christianity is JudeoChristianity with so many Jewish personages throughout the ages, including Christ, that no anti-Semite ruler will allow JudeoChristianity in his reich.

Hitler cow-towed the Pope to obtain favor from the masses, but none of his actions showed he was promoting JudeoChristianity in the slightest. The Nazi ideology was basically pagan atheist.

Atheist nuts have killed far more the religious nuts

  • @Rockguitarnow Christianity has been accused of being anti-semitic. There are many slurs against Jews in the New Testament of the bible. Hitler was baptized as a christian and used quotes from the bible in his book Mein Kempf to justify his cause. You are right He did NOT directly claim Christianity as part of his Reich, he just borrowed some phrases from the NT...

You seem to forget the religious crusades, inquisitions, genocide of aboriginal people, slavery, child sexual abuse, misogyny

  • @OppressedAnarchist I should remind you that in Africa, more blacks kill blacks than whites ever killed blacks. The problem is not with race, it's with ideology.

  • @OppressedAnarchist As for Hitler and faux Christianity, there are basically two divisions of Christian thought. One is the unlearned, superstitious view that "the Jews killed Christ".

The second Christian line of thought, which is the correct view, explains the Jews opposing Christ were controlled by pagan Rome, basically under death threat to stamp out any uprising, and especially anyone who might challenge pagan rule under Rome's puppet ruler King Herod.

Jews who refused could be killed.

  • @OppressedAnarchist Your stories are so full of holes the ship sank before it was even released into the water... Lol seriously, you're trying to make an argument based on accusations? Are you FREAKING kidding me? Maybe if you tried backing up you're baseless claims people might be a little more interested in hearing your "opinions". And no, it's not a lack of research on my part, I've done plenty. It's a lack of knowledge on yours. Provide some links to ur cointelpro and we'll listen closer.

  • @OppressedAnarchist Actually, it is you who are too easily tossing out reason and historical reason. Stalin is absolutely relevant. Most people that try to dismiss the role of atheism in the Soviet Union are not well read as to how extant it was. Rather than argue with you, I would challenge you to read Solzhenitsyn's THE GULAG ARCHIPELAGO before you so blithely dismiss the obvious truth.

  • @1105Chance Fuck Your Beliefs ....

  • @OppressedAnarchist So if I go out and rob a bank, and tell the cops who catch me, "Hey I'm OppressedAnarchist!!", they are gona go after you instead of me right? Wow dude, you really are something else....

  • @OppressedAnarchist Religious nuts have killed almost no one. Take a look at how many millions killed by the atheist Stalin. Tens of millions. Stalin's depraved atheist police were steeped in the beliefs that human life is just chemicals and close to worthless. As a result, they surrounded the Ukraine in 1932 and starved to death 7 million innocent people. ,

  • @Rockguitarnow Atheism is NOT a belief that causes murder, it is like blaming skin color.

Atheism, like skin color, does not tell people what to do, therefore can't take blame.

So, jump further off the propaganda wagon by asking me any question.

  • @Bourtini You're right, atheism doesn't tell people what to do, it tells them that they can do what ever they want because morality is simply an "evolutionary process". But I guess if you're an un-evolved atheist that's dumb, then you obviously have no obligations to worry about morality. Therefore murder is A-OK, (as long as you're an un-evolved atheist). Funny how you atheists contradict yourselves. Continued...

  • @freakman420 We don't need a god to tell us murder is wrong, we can reason it. I never discussed evolution or the big bang, if you don't know it then go to science class or watch some tv program on it.

You don't sound well, I advise you seek help.

  • @Bourtini Aww cmon, is that the best come back you got? What about Nato murdering millions? Do they need a God to tell them some thing is wrong? Oh that's right, all they need is commands from godless murdering filth who run our world.

  • @freakman420 Again, all atheists are not NATO, or Stalin, or Pol Pot. We do not need a god to tell us murder is wrong. Something else makes people want to murder, it is not atheism.

  • @freakman420 I'll give you abetter example:

"God does not exist, kill people", there is no purpose driving the resulting action, it is illogical.

"I want political power, kill people", that contains a motive.

  • @Bourtini Ok now we're getting some where. Lets shift our hatred away from one another. You believe what you want, and I'll do the same. BUT what we do agree on, is that something is totally Fu@#$ng up our way of life. How do we come to terms and agree and formulate a common direction to turn around from the destruction that looms just ahead? I say Ron Paul, what do you say?

  • @freakman420 Ron Paul

  • @Bourtini You atheists continue to contradict yourselves. You're so high up on you're evolutionary horse you forgot to think about the fact that evolution brings about things never seen or heard of before by man. Yet you're so quick to "jump on the evolutionary bandwagon", that you failed to ask yourself why you believe in something you've never witnessed. You only know about it because some scientist theorized it in the past. Like the big bang THEORY. I thought lack of evidence... nvm LOL

  • @Bourtini Oh yeah, you're also going to bring up grammatical spelling issues to further avoid my statements. But now that I called you on it... I wonder if you'll actually do it LOL

  • @freakman420 What? Was I talking to you? What statements did you make?

  • THEY'VE CAUGHT US comrade Stalin, *grabs AK* HAIL STALIN AND THE MOTHER LAND!

  • @OliieTheEpic Oh. If only you had a grownup's sense of humor and realized how UNFUNNY and stupid corny you are.

  • @1105Chance cool story bro. could you kindly fuck off :)

  • @OliieTheEpic ...it appears Mr. Dictionary has deserted you again.

  • @1105Chance It also appears fail troll is fail trolling.

  • What a pile! Atheists often live in mostly Christian communities but they attack religion because it's an easy target? I call religious types delusional because they hold invalid and often silly beliefs and try to foist those beliefs on the ignorant i.e. a worldwide flood. You say this is wrong because most of these theists are "moral, caring and law abiding." So what? They're still deluded. And the plea for more tolerance for religions that consign outsiders to eternal torture is a laugh.

  • Who made the video?Where'd you get it?

    Thanks

  • I laughed my ass off at 1:29 really indoctrination oh thats orgasmicly ironic theist's condemning indoctrination. Hating what a/all religion teaches and speaking out against said beliefs is fine and people should always have that right.

Why do you insist that any opposition against religion must be violent ?

@5:08 so you cry about atheists stereotyping theists yet you do the same thing in reverse.

5:24 Atheism isn't a belief its a lack of one

  • @NickBravoLives Your constant hypocrisy and contradictions need to be pointed out. You should be happy I hold you to the high standard you say adhere to in your videos. Unfortuately you are incapable of even mildly living up to them.

  • @CrazyCyclingVlogger That was a stupid comment CrazyCyclingVlogger. I don't see you showing your face in your videos. Why is that? Why don't you stop mocking on people, be civilized, and start making videos to debate real issues without putting anyone down?

Nick Bravo is excellent. Nick is one of the coolest people on Youtube. :)

  • Realistic atheists realize the movement is proselytized by a handful of loudmouthed bigots who think they're doing the right thing. It's less widespread than preachers proselytizing how atheists are immoral fools.

Neither religion or atheism is going away any time soon. Most people, atheist and theist alike, just try to coexist and cooperate in society.

    Let's not spread fear, huh?

  • @brynn30 Brynn, I mention Internet harassment because there are a lot of people now filing lawsuits for being harassed over youtube. Some people stand to collect $500,000.00 or maybe more. :)

  • @brynn30 Yes, and I keep coming across a lot of harassment against Christians by atheists on the Internet. Was it you Brynn30 who got harassed with a clone page some months back? Or your husband?.

  • @brynn30

How many people are religious who haven't been exposed to existing religions? I'd say it's a very small minority...

Even if there were no sources of religious material (not even sure how that would be defined) there would always be a small chance that someone could re-invent religion.

  • Note I also see similarities between religion and a virus (just in the way it's transmitted). And I haven't read Dawkins.

I think religion can be dealt with by teaching people critical thinking skills at a young age. The people who are already religious will die eventually, no intervention needs to be done - it's just a matter of time.

  • @MythicalManMoth Yeah I think that's what Stalin said, and he thoroughly stamped out all religion from the Soviet Union until Hitler showed up at the gates of Moscow with 250,000 troops.

Stalin quickly reopened the churches and prayed his butt off.

    Historical fact. :)

  • @Rockguitarnow lol.
