man, i saw this tonight at the silvercity in ottawa.. if you dont see this in imax 3d then ur truly missing out. you feel like your in their world. its absolutely insane. i dont think i can describe it in words.

imax is its own experience. Keep in mind i was in buenos aires when i saw it, in the country's best theater. So yes, argentinas best theater> my crappy college town theater. The theater was rocking...

I must warn anybody who plans on watching Avatar to not watch it in 2D or download it and watch it on their computer screens. This movie wouldn't be half as good in 2D than it is in 3D. Watch it in 3D or even better Imax 3D believe me it's worth the money.

Now I rate Avatar in Terms of special effects and cool 3D awesomness 10/10

In terms of character and plot 7.5/10.

Good movie overall watch it.

I watched it the other day at normal cinemas in 3D, and it was AWESOME! One of the greatest movies ever made. And my brother said that we had to watch it again, but at Imax, because the screen is huge and the 3D is even more spectacular. Can someone tell me what Imax is like? I'm like totally excited!! XD

For me, in the last 20 years, just one movie was better than this one: Lord of The Rings.

So, i was very happy to be alive to see such a master piece with my own eyes!! =) Loved Avatar!

i have a question, can you watch 3D movies if you are blind in one eye

I would say no. The glasses that are used filter images at different wavelengths so the image appears in 3d. The good news is that because it filters out the other image it doesn't make it look unwatchable, it just looks like any other movie in 2d.

would it work if i bought higher quality glasses, because i remember something online about theaters using low qualty glasses that only "filter" at certain angles and stuff like that

In Connecticut (USA) I bought mine online, picked out the seat I wanted and it was $12.50 plus tax. Large Popcorn and a medium soda cost me 14 and change. Its the sound that makes it so good and you need to be in the middle to hear everything balanced well. I sat to the right side and didnt hear much of the left side.

I just got back from seeing the 3D Imax movie, and it was soooooooooooo good. I would recommend not seeing it in any other venue except 3D. This should get the Movie of the Decade award.
