How To Upload In HD Using Imovie 6

Hi, I have a 2011 Imac with Imove 11. I find IMovie 11 un-usable so I ordered a used ILife 06 disk. I have heard that it is easier and more enjoyable to use. The Apple techs said it will work on Snow Lepherd 10.6.8. They said it shouldn't erase my Garageband 2011 or songs I made on it. She said It shouldn't but it Could. I hope it doesn't erase my songs I made on my Garageband 2011.Do you think it will. I know it sounds crazy to put 06 on 11 but I find IMovie 11 impossible to use. scootergreen3

Mine is like 2 minutes and it says 80 min its as the time remaining! Why does it take that long?
