Fourth, with the exception of Ken Shamrock who started out as a pro wrester, every MMA guy who ever tried their hand at wrestling has sucked. Fifth, it takes a lot of guts for a wrestler to risk his rep in MMA fights

The main organization in the US, UFC, was started in the 90's as an event to see which fighting styles were truly effective. It was like having Karate guy vs. Wrestler Guy to see if either actually worked in a fight. It's evolved since then into a sport where fighters must cover all assets of their game in order to be successful. MMA is a sport. WWE and pro wrestling is a show.
