Mal wins, due to the fact that this song was used in Titan AE, where Joss Whedon helped to write the screenplay. That probably gave him an idea to make a show about how humans have to leave Earth behind.

Mal all the way baby! I like Star Wars well nuff but its so campy. Mal is way more hard core then Solo, FACT. I mean look at it like this, both Mal and Solo where tortured right? Solo screamed like a girl the whole time and when they let him go he falls to the ground says "I feel terrible". Mal on the other hand is still a smart ass tho the whole thing then when given the chance uses the torture devise ON them. Then gets into a fist fight with manbearpig. Pluse Mal is way funnier.

Both carry awesome handguns and have a me vs the world philosophy. Mal is arguably the winner in the funny banter category, but Solo has the cooler ship. Why? It has weapons.

Well ,i will say this: If they for soem asinine reason reshot the original triolgy with a new cast, Nathan Fillion would indeed be an excellent choice for Solo. Both Ford and Fillion are awesome scoundrels actors, and I'd really like ot see them work together some day.
