I'll bet you do have to pass a test to be in the Senate, but it's full of connect the dots and Sponge Bob coloring pages. And even then, so long as you more or less stay within the lines, YOU'RE IN!
I used to think Mark Pryor was good for Arkansas. But he is less concerned about the people of Arkansas than the party he belongs to. His claim to be a christian is political more so than true conviction. He got elected on his father's name then went on to sell "US" out for O'bama Health Care. That worthless pile of trash Bill Maher on the other hand is a sleazeball. He makes Charlie Sheen look like a role model. As you can see the Devil can quote scripture to suit his need too.
@rjc34 Yeah, that movie was traumatic. Took me two sittings to get through it. This just hits home because he's my senator. Also: He's a democrat. Imagine what the Arkansas republicans are like... it ain't pretty. XD
@deanreevesii I know the feeling; I used to live in AR, too. But I'm not *from* there. I lived there from the 3rd grade on (1997), and moved out of AR and back to NY, where I'm really from, in 2009, so right after this came out. I did see it before I left, but when this scene first came up in the movie the 1st time I watched it, I was *stunned*. But that was more just amazement that something from AR was even mentioned!
After I watched it, yeah, I was pretty ashamed, but not *surprised*.
But yeah, this guy is an AR "democrat". Now, I put Democrat in quotes, because every current Democratic congressperson from AR, then and now, is/was a "Blue Dog" Democrat. So they might as well be Republicans, they're just a little "less Republican" than the true Republicans.
Now, I say that, and you must be wondering..."If these are AR *Democrats*, then what are the *Republicans* like?!"
@macgeek2004 Well there weren't any Republicans until this last election. What are the Ar Republicans like? Competent!!! I'm sure there will be more the next election.
@deanreevesii See, the thing is, though Pryor here looks REALLY stupid, and certainly so if you've never actually lived in AR, his views here are actually....pretty average for AR. He's really pretty normal, as sad as that is; most people there *actually* believe and think like this. Even I, oddly enough, used to think this way myself.
@deanreevesii They're bad. I mean, BAD! But in a unique way. Like, they're bad in the way that Pryor is bad here, only worse, in that t's mostly ignorant stupidity and religiousness. But they're not crazy like Michelle Bachmann, worthless, lying, and corrupt like Sarah Palin, lying, corrupt, and agendistic like Scott Walker, big business or establishment GOP like Eric Cantor,
I'll bet you do have to pass a test to be in the Senate, but it's full of connect the dots and Sponge Bob coloring pages. And even then, so long as you more or less stay within the lines, YOU'RE IN!
My condolences.

I like when he realized that he insulted himself.

This scares me. Not as much as when I watched Jesus Camp though.
