  • It just might be one of the most rare historical accounts in recorded history. It is uploaded on my channel. A never before released wtc attack video that is a continuous running account. The only such video account that exists. It is a time capsule; it is the answer to the question: what would it have been like to watch that all unfold right before my eyes.. without the media.. just to watch it all from beginning to the end.. in a non-production way. Only one 'Tuesday Morning in September'

  • how do you get the ice to be clear?

  • @SkiBaBopDiBop I walk my the creek and look for the clear ice most of the ice is cloudy.

  • like a boss

  • he is chuck norris omgggggggg

  • Aliens.

  • You sound black at the beginning

  • That was great!

  • Does it have to be four inches thick?

  • @madigan1323 3 to 4 inches works best.

  • so that's how adele set fire to the rain...

  • that is so cool i wish i could do that where i live.

  • NO WAY!!!!!!! Only Chuck Norris can do this!!!!

  • @nickkhor I did it! :)

  • even if its black powder how does he light it.it does work he just used it to make it go faster

  • Nice. I thought it was going to be fire coming out of ice but this is still good

  • thumbs up if The.Edge bring you here

  • Thats so COOL! <---------- Sorry, really really sorry. I tried to resist, but it just had to come out!

  • HERO AWARD, the leaves combusted as if there was some sort of accelerant used. But in theory that should work!!!

  • excellent tim jones!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was pretty cool.

  • This is a Fake!!! A accelerant was used if u dont see this..... The Fire come to Fast and high!!!!

  • @CommandoCyborg1 little black powder in by tender bundle.

  • what for?

  • @sharilajeeeeee to make a fire.

  • Wondedrfull!!!

  • and you thought it was FAKE

  • OMG! It was cool. :) I mean, always knew it can be done with glass lens, but ice lens, very creative...

  • he talks like an country singer

  • @lilo689 " ...and, uh, you're a cool guy, like, uh, Bear Grylls or somethin' " XD

  • I admit - I learned something very interesting and useful - thanks a bunch

:) to tyle w temacie

  • This is a cool survival skill if you ever need to make fire and all you have is ice and a knife.

  • What crap. The way it flashes up like that clearly indicates an accelerant was used.

  • @somedudeinva little black powder in by tender bundle

  • The movie "The Edge" brought me here!

  • Very informative. Thanks for doing this and uploading!

  • great

  • 是不錯啦~可是野外求生要去哪找冰塊咧??~應該在南北極適用

  • @kfp789 你可以用獸皮毛毯。

  • honneh we have us sum fire, start makin them stakes!

  • maybe this is what it means by "set fire to the rain"... lol

  • myb this is what it means by "set fire to the rain",. lol

  • he is like chuck norris who can make fire with ice

  • This is really good to know :) it makes perfect sense but i never would have thought of it! :D

  • So this is what they mean by 'fire and ice'. lol

  • in the meantime, he developed frostbite on all his fingers before he got the fire started and they had to amuptated when he was rescued

  • from ice? its ''with ice''.

  • I came from Discovery.

  • @Andyboi45 same lol

  • "What one man can do, another can do!!"

    -Anthony Hopkins, the Edge

  • Genius

  • sweet just like a magnifying glass

  • @xboxisawesome87 yes.

  • wow amazing

  • how to CREATE A FOREST FIRE

  • that is a very nice survival tactic

  • @MattyMcCritic maybe not. the preparations are quite a lot. when youre lost in the winter and youre already feeling cold, it would take some time and you would have to have contact with the ice. but still, this is marvellous. theres a slight bit if irony there. kudos to this guy

  • I hope some of the responses were jokes, and I dont mean the funny ones or the obvious ones. There are some seriously dumb people on here, the real joke is they won't think it's them I'm talking about. The beauty of ignorance, so easy to exploit.

  • Damn this man can survive in the Antarctic!

  • ok, i have to be honest, i really thought you were going to strike to ice cubes together and spark a fire

  • That's pro right there thumbs up if you agree!

  • u can use magitifier,its easier ;)

  • @MrCrazyRemixes Whats a "magitifier"?

  • ahhhhhh i got it !

you're jusing it like mirror and sun.

  • I tried this all winter once, long ago before I had the net. I froze my hands off for a LONG time, I did not keep one side flat, and never thought of black powder. You, sir, have just proven my sanity! Ty! :-)

  • Cool

  • finally a guy does this. you hear them talk about it all the time on survival shows but no one ever does it. Without the black powder though I wouldn't waste my time with it unless there were no other options. Kudos to you for showing us how to do this stuff, though when I get lost I'll make sure I have a bic lol.

  • Interesting video, but wouldn't be practical in an emergency because its too intricate and too time consuming

  • warning: this video contains rubbing

  • Clever

  • Thanks from the pyros up here in Canada eh

  • this is a real good idea! :D

  • Genius!

  • He looks like Rainey off the movie Into The Wild....Like literally his twin brother

  • we can clearly see some gas on the fire... lol

  • @gabrgr black powder

  • @gabrgr Gas would just make your tinder wet.

  • Απίστευτο! Μπράβο.

  • LOL, or you could use the reflection off of the knife to do a simmilar thing and save 10-30 minutes making a ice magnifying glass? cool video still though

  • Kay jewlers watch out this guy can make ice diamonds!

  • send this to Mythbusters!

  • @needspeed40 Uh, what would the point in sending this to Mythbusters be? This does actually work; it's not a myth.

  • send this to Mythbusters!

  • SIR. YOU ARE A BADASS. YOU NOW HAVE MY RESPECT.

  • Its strange. If somebody were to tell you: "You can make fire from ice!" you wouldnt believe it. At first thought, you think its something like "you have to rub two ice blocks together, like rubbing two sticks together". But no. Its something completely different. Very clever!

  • woah! i wanna try that! AMAZING DUDE!! 2:12 was awesome!

  • woah! i wanna try that! AMAZING DUDE!!

  • 58 people's ice melted before they finished carving it.

  • my ice was on fire when i did it

  • how the hell is he able to hold that ice for so long?

  • @rne1223 It was cold but I did it.

  • @rne1223 because he doesn't have bitch hands

  • @rne1223 He's Iceman obviously.

  • @rne1223 It's called being a man.

  • 2:10 HOLY SHIT!

  • dats so cool how he made a focusing lens outta ice

  • i could never do that my hands would be frezzzzzing after 2 sec

  • Cool video! I'd really like to try that some time!

  • This is amazing! He made a magic ball that can make fire!

  • Did you put magnesium shavings in your tinder bundle?

  • @charlesjones32787 little black powder.

  • Thanks for posting this! Good job.

  • AREN'T YOUR HANDS COLD???

  • @concavius Yes.

  • Cool topic of intreast, never thought of this myself it would work in an area where there isn't sufficient wood to make fire implements but still have pete to use as a fuel source. It reminds me of an Astronomy mirror grinding club.

  • this pocket knive ..... REMINGTON ?????

  • @SuperXrangerSBBG2011 old timer.

  • Chuck Norris can start a fire by rubbing two ice cubes together.

  • Cool

  • I've seen this on MythBusters. Nicely done.

  • obvious troll is obvious

  • @jekennamer Old joke is old.

  • Holy shit!!

  • such a great idea! never thought of this before.

  • Dude, you're awesome. Respect for making fire from an ice lens. I think of myself as pretty intuitive but even this took a minute to work out!

  • Great

  • Very nice! I may have to try this some day.

  • HAhaha what did you put in grass match...? why you dont you use your own match lol

  • @darkie21o I put black powder in the grass tinder.

  • @tim3jones how about if you dont have black powder that ice have a effect? beacuse if you use black powder you dont need to do that...you can make a fire with powder only right...:)

  • @darkie21o It will still work with out black powder, a grass tinder will work.

  • @tim3jones very cool :) how about snow will work?

  • @darkie21o No.

  • what did you light gun powder?

  • @OGnblz I put black powder in the grass tinder.

  • Mom:AH.. the lighter is out of gas...

ME:its ok let me drive to alaska for some ice

  • cool

  • shit UV rays on my screen!!!

  • i totally thought the dude was black untill i saw his skin!

  • Now, THAT'S using your head! Neat! Nothing like good old fashioned optics - works every time! :-)

  • They have done this on Mythbusters.

  • good vid but you didn't make fire FROM ice, you made it WITH ice :p

  • @sabbalo apples to oranges...made FIRE "FROM" a piece of ICE. Now what??

  • Someone get Satoshi Taijiri on the phone! We just found out how to logically design a Fire and Ice type pokemon!

  • Bro use some gloves!

  • Amazing

  • Interesting!

  • AMAZING

  • @hippylegs i apologize thank you for being civil

  • I call Mythbusters

  • your a nice sculpture 1:08 - 1;25

  • AWESOME.

  • its so clear

  • good thought

  • @layrea how you gonna use a loop? When you're lost in the mountains and all you brought was your ps3, ppl are really dumb. This video is awesome, thank you bud for teaching me another survival tip!

  • For that I can use a loop -.-

  • Awesome!!

  • YOUR HAND SHUD BE COLD

  • @AMMOxRAMBO They where cold.

  • @tim3jones YOU CUT IT SO PERFECT I WUD HAVE KEPT IT (THAT BLOCK OF ICE)

  • @tim3jones *were

  • @AMMOxRAMBO Try using mixed case, a spell checker and a grammar checker and then most people should be able to understand what you're talking about.

  • Perfect! Thank you!

  • have you...ever heard of matches?

  • @asfan89 Have you...ever heard of being stranded out in the woods and survival?

  • @Tolphas Smartphone

  • @Tolphas I live in the wood along time ago.

  • It seems to be fake because of the explosion.

  • @svartahridxhgc I put black powder in the grass tinder.

  • @tim3jones Oh I see, I did not read the description haha, thanks!

  • @tim3jones so would it be possible to do it without an accelerent?

  • @1337SC2haxorz Yes.

  • You'll freeze to death rubbing that ice before you can make a fire to warm your hands back up!

    :-)

  • wow pretty smart

  • COOOL!!!

  • this is fully fiction !!

  • uhhh.. i don't know with you guys and your suggestions but this is in case you find yourself lost in the wild. what if you don't have a lighter, match, magnifying glass or maybe a flint.

  • just have a match and start a fire.

  • Or you can get a magnifying glass...

  • i saw this on mythbusters

  • hymm ok, only problem is that when winter strikes in EU there is usually not that much sun day is usually cloudy and short

  • That ice looks soooo pretty! I wish it would never melt so I could keep it in my room and stare at it all day =)

  • Can't you just make fire with a stick? xD..
