Never forget Mr. Greene that what is happening to the music business will eventually be the norm in the book publishing industry. If people are OK with pirating music, then they'll do the same with literary works. Adapt.
@mnypwrrspkt agreed but looking at how he executed it is far better than the 2 guys as he has a shorter life span than them he got in and his model was more agressive than anyone in the rap game..
@edwinramokolo he just had the biggest ROI on his investment in Vitamin water.. right place right time... and he capitalized on it better, i agree on that. but he mustve learned from the the earlier mistakes. Like Jay Z used to wear another brand(iceberg) and he asked for a for a share in their profits. when that didnt happen, then he started a clothing line.
@mnypwrrspkt well said but the point that is being highlighted is the fact that he is a better strategist than most coz he learnd and capitilized WITHOUT FEAR, "ryt place ryt time" has nothing to do with his success like the book states in 2 chapters turn shit to suger and opportunisim: the "right place right time" is invalid since anytime anyplace u can always capitilize and i agree Jay did it too they r both GR8 in my opinion i think 50 is beta due to the fact the tym it tuk him
@edwinramokolo ur right 50 has gone harder.. he lived fast.. thats why he is pretty much burned out with his music... it died down. i havbent hurd a good song from him in a minute... Jay is still putting out good songs and verses.
@mnypwrrspkt 100%, musiclly JAY is the god MC..50 music wise he has not bin doing anything new he is still the same 50 over the years rappin abt the same thing..he is trapped in street mode and due to the changes in the world he has not kept up..in his diffence i can say he has bin true to himself from day one the problem that if he changes his approach wif music he myt nt be b accepted coz thats not hu he is but his latest mixtape was on point BIG10 have a listen sum songs stoodout
@edwinramokolo yeah i downloaded it but nonne of the songs found its way into rotation on my ipod. but backtracking a bit.. i agree with 50's business sense.. i am also aggressive. respect
reading this book as well other robert greene books have opened my eyes and mentality to think a different way. I was reading the 50th law before I lost my job. Because before I had the mentality of being scared of losing a job and what was going to happen. The 50th Law helped me to get rid of that fear. The 48 laws of power showed me what was happening in the workplace read it and you all will be suprised.
I bought this book and I felt this book is a synopsis of the human behavior. Unlike other books this one doesn't preach. Every statement has a relevance and we would start feeling those emotions very strongly. I rarely comment on youtube videos, but Rober Greene I have no choice. He is simply the best!
@Andre2Dayle, If you like these videos, then you’ll love the book. We find Greene’s work indispensable. Whether you truly learn from his books really comes down to one thing: putting the ideas in his book into action. It’s only then, that you translate the wisdom gathered in Greene’s books, into wisdom of your own. (The Apps we are creating are designed to help you do that within a corporate environment).
@Andre2Dayle My friend, you must read all his books! Let's just say the light came on when I read his books. The only downside is that some of his chapters are a little long and hard to understand because he bases most of his examples on ancient historical models that the average person may not understand. Otherwise, highly recommended!
The videos bring out an awesome perpsective that only audio visual can deliver!! More, more, more!!! Great idea to teamup with Greene's books as a model!!! More, more, more!!! I'de buy your video collections!!!
@Andre2Dayle, thanks for your question. The videos provide additional (behind-the-scenes) information about the 50th Law, so they are not summaries. These videos have material we couldn’t use in the Mastering The 48 Laws of Power Apps (that we have been developing) but wanted to share with fans of Greene’s work. Since our focus is on helping people put Greene’s work into practice, we recommend the 50th to anyone wanting deeper, unvarnished insights into the process of developing real power.
@Andre2Dayle on the book they cover another topic how to respect the process of learning....and if you dont go through that you will fail to grow....so i suggest that thou u watched the vid go ahead and go through the whole book.
@ItsMeTNG and excelentgen4: Thanks for your question. The "hold up" is actually the real project that we are doing based on Robert's work. The 50th videos are an after-work project using extra material we gathered and wanted to share. They are fun to do and we love the book. The next video--which we’ll post for only a week--will explain what the project is and formally ask you for your feedback. That's in production now as we continue the technical phase of testing for the project.
