  • Wonderful!

  • BBerg sax genius rip

  • whats the name of this tune? and by any chance do u guys happen to know if there is a dvd of this performance?! Bob berg man..that guy was insane!

  • I never get bored of this solo. Plus my 4 year old daughter loves it too.

  • where have all the musicians gone? just awesome

  • Bob Berg was an absolutely AMAZING horn player. His death was HORRIBLE. Randy Brecker had a beautiful uluogy and it was well deserved. His potential was infinite and i am so sorry that he was not able to reach it. He could have touched the stars and beyond with his expressive musicality. He was a horn player respected and embraced by even the great Michael Brecker. I would have LOVED to see where he would have gone in his later years...

  • I wanted to watch this video because of Darryl Jones . .. i am stoned from the sax . . :*

  • @TheRollingStonesTube Bob's blowing your brains out with this indeed, take care....;-)

  • Bob Left Miles at the beginning of 1987

  • Ce bois!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • From Miles Davis to the Stones for Darryl Jones.

  • Only Miles could look gangster with a skullet

  • had this concert on tape while laid up in hospital for 12 weeks after a motorbike crash really kept my faith up so thanks to the band for my sanity.

    really a big thank you.

  • Bob Berg is dead!! Very bad, is a big BIG LOST For the world off Fusion JAZZ and me

  • Shit am i in love with his solo

  • @Geepereet Damn, nice post"

@ Giltribe your comment on "respect" to Bob Berg, speaks, to me, volumes on the character of Miles.

  • so pure

  • Yep Gig 1985, '86 and '87 NorthSeaJazz Live Tuin Paviljoen, thankx Maestro Miles.

  • Bob showed us he was a heavy weight champion on the Tenor (& Soprano) Sax! Very cool how Miles shows his respect to Bob by sending him frontstage to receive the applaus and grabbing his chest at the end...

Bob was tragically killed in a road traffic accident in East Hampton, NY while driving to buy groceries with his wife. The person who crashed into his car was driving a cement truck that accidentally skidded on ice...

  • @Giltribe thanks for the info and just to bad such genuine but also stupid car accidents are due to the lost of lots of people and in this case a very popular and respected musician like he was.

  • lol

  • Incredible! Great post.

  • From what it is a concert? It for them not bad band.

  • North Sea Jazz Festival, The Hague, Holland around 1987

  • 1985! Bob Berg was already gone, and Miles had that damn weave on his head by then

  • OK, might be wrong, I've never been sure what year it was, always thought it was around 1982 but could not find exact info, sorry will make changes ;-)

  • i don't remember why i used an exclamation point after "1985". no worries...

  • terrible!!! j'adore cvette époque de miles!

  • Bob Berg was totally down with the sickness. Motherfucker had no problem playing his ass off.

  • I did not know about sickness of BB those days, he died in a car accident according my info but sick? Get back to me please.....

  • oh myyy godddddddd!!!

  • 3:33 onwards breathtaking, all of it is but for me thats the wonderful climax part you were speaking of!! amazing gave me goosebumps

  • The drummer is Vince Wilburn - Miles' nephew. He was generally regarded as a poor drummer. I seem to remember reading Miles' autobiography a long time ago and he said that he had to sack Vince because he kept losing the rhythm. It's fair to say that he got into the band because of family connections. Dennis Chambers would have been incredible to see in this band.

  • Thanx for the info

  • I don't think you'll find this on a official DVD. Miles had a lot of changes those days with the crew he worked with, this is one of my favs but I don't have the title which may be a bit stupid but its one of my oldest recordings and one of the best as well. No wonder you have the same opinion, have your fun with this like you can enjoy it HQ till now!

  • Bob was cookin'! Miles looked like he almost wanted to pull the plug. Who's show is it anyway? R. I. P. Bob. And R.I.P. Miles.

  • Many thanks for this part aswell, mind blowing
