I'm pretty sick of hearing attempts to justify what Hamas does to it's children. An Israeli leader once said, "There will be peace when The Palestinians learn to love their children as much as we love ours."

Let the children go to school where they can learn maths, science, arts and humanities. If all they learn is how to use a machine gun against the "infidels", nobody will ever be able to make peace with them. Not Israel, and no other country in the world either.

The sad fact is that the so called "government" in Gaza is blinded with bloodlust and savagery. they could spend money on schools and infrastructure to make Gaza a better place, but instead they campaign for violence and put their funds into weapons and the indoctrination of their children to become future martyrs. and while it's admirable to warn people of attack, gazans have nowhere to go. they aren't allowed to leave gaza (they've been under israeli and US siege for decades). if they leave thier towns/homes (in which case they would be out in the desert, prone to the elements) which many DO, they still have to make it through military check-points.

You're right. Evac is not easy and Gazans have few places to go. All I can reiterate is that Israel tries very hard to warn people in a given area that a strike is coming and that they should move elsewhere for safety. They would be safe if they could at least move a few blocks down the road, rather than congregate on the very building that is about to be struck.

I'm glad we can both at least agree (I think) that Hamas is ultimately to blame for this.

Israel has warned over and over again for it to stop and Israel has finally put its foot down, and excercised its right to defend its people. Israel has shown more restraint than other nations ever would.

What Israel is doing is not genocide as it is not targeting a race of people, but rather it is targeting Hamas's military points used to target Israeli civilians.

Schools and homes are not military hotpoints until they are used as Qassam launch pads by Hamas. Israel is possibly the only nation in the world that warns civilians be it by phone or by leaflet drop that there is an imminent strike and that they need to evacuate. At the same time, Hamas is seen on many videos encouraging civilians to get on the roof of the building to be struck and act as 'human shields'
