@davidglow3 Not match their US Rivals? I take it you've heard of Ray Noble.."Love Is The Sweetest Thing", "By The Fireside", "The Very Thought Of You" , Goodnight Sweetheart" for example?

From "Laughing at the rain" to "It always starts to rain", doesn't it just show the range of dance bands in general and Jack Payne in particular.

Such a cheerful number and like the very different "Laughing at the rain", it's overriding message is optimism.

Charming song, mind you. I'm off for a few days next week so I hope it does not always start to rain.

This song is perfect for the NY-NJ area! It has rained at least 18 days now this month. "Rain, rain go away has become my mantra" :))
