RIDE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT! people please stop whining about brake ins.... todays engines are already prepared before they are out of the factory to be driven hard.
Don't think it's absolutely brand new judging by the blueing of the pipes. Saying that, my old man's bonneville had the bluing effect after very few miles.
Yeah you could be right. Come to think of it, when I picked up my new gixer my tyres had blue lines down the middle of them. They have gone now. This 'new' bike does not. well maybe we should not believe everything we see on Youtube as true and gospel. lol
Yeah, I have to agree with the better prep comment. I don't need to get excited about the bike, then watch a guy take his pants off. Still, it's hard to find half-decent bike vids, so thanks for posting...!
Test drove this bike at Biketoberfest in Daytona, Fl. USA with Arrow Exhaust. Great Bike, especially in the twisties. I'm 6'2" and felt like I was in the turns. Very comfortable.
What a great bike. Could you do a post on the Sprint? I would like to see a Triumph Youtube on a bike that can be set up as a street bike or a touring bike. One that can be setup with low or high handle bars. With and/or without touring bags..??
Sorry for slow reply. This bike is not the one for you. I am 5 foot 6 and do small commutes 10-20 miles plus weekend trips (less than 80 mile round trip) for which this bike is perfect. You need to think about the Speed Triple 1050 which I really liked but is too big for me if you like the style / brand but otherwise think that by the time you've passed your test there will be plenty more options out there.
I'm 6 ft 4, but this bike is the reason I'm getting a bike license! What was it like to ride? Comfy, roomy, good for all day riding? Or do you think I should look elsewhere if I want real comfort and touring ability?
I have an SV650s and was suffering a bit of wrist ache when commuting around town as well as wanting more power. I was looking at all sorts of options but the Street Triple was the sensible one. I'm 5 foot 6 so it was the perfect size for me! ;-) Ordered mine right away. Delivery in October!
I'm going to reserve mine next week!! I was thinking about a monster until I saw this...but the street triple is way sexier and way meaner than the monster 695
Question: How is the throttle-response? Especially when you go easy on the throttle half-way in a turn. How smooth is the on/off effect, or the lack there off?
The throttle felt very smooth actually and at no point during the test was the throttle an issue. I have a 07 Bonneville America on test now too and it has got carbs. The Bonnie's got some issues that will disappear with fuel injection in September. None of that on the Street 3!
your camera work pissed me off seriously ! you were makin me go crazy! anyhow great bike nonetheless.

what a bummer of a video.....I am concerned that given the evidence of this production people associated with this bike may have low IQ's

I'm selling my Gladius and I really want a Street Triple. But I'm not sure about the reliability. Can anyone share some opinions? Thanks a lot.

I'm shaking my head in disbelief that you have just revved your brand new bike onto the red when you are still in the Triumph car park.
I guess you missed the run in chat?

Looks like poo and the clatter from the engine is louder than my Enfield!

Who revs a brand new bike (or old) to/past redline in neutral, let alone in gear. Break the bitch in first atleast, shit.
Sick bike, picking up an SV650 to beat on till i'm confident enough for an ST.
No nudy seckzee shots = fail.

This street triple compare to the kawa z750 ? Wich one is easier to drive on all different type of road ?
Thanks for all your video test .

You think the first time anyone rode a bike made in the UK in the UK was when you got it for a video?
Uhh...duh?
aluisious 4 years ago
Yes, the very first independent UK roadtest. Off course someone at Triumph has ridden it a lot, but they are not public roadtesters.

Will be doing a test ride soon!
Is it (in your opinion) really more fun than a 600 supersport on the road/city, like some say?

It's more fun than a 1000cc supersport on the road!

im thinking about gettin this as my next bike! are they standard cans?
funky847 4 years ago
Bog standard yes.Fly-screen and belly pan are extras. You could do much worse than the Street Triple!
