She is the queen of jazz/blues and i'ts history. this age goup can't identify with this music although I hear a little billie holiday coming out of amy winehouse. amy must have been raised listening to billie holiday and roberta flack, i can hear they re influence. But billie is queen and was the begining of a new age of recording the blues. She was a tragic figue as many were but she got a crown. Bessie Smith was the grande dame prior to billie but more on the honkeytonk side .
