  • The prize should be a porn star ready to take the virginity of the winner! The loser should also get the same prize, except it gets video taped and released! ;)

  • Magic The Gathering is a sport! I've got some serious shuffling issues in my elbows!

  • I kinda like this more than the TCG because you don't see people shuffling cards for a half hour before each game.

  • what is that guy standing up in the back writing?

  • DOTP 12 has shitty interface for kids with ADHD.

  • lol magic isnt a sport

  • Magic Online is for super stupid mtg crack heads. Why the hell would you pay $4 a pack for something that you cannot hold and cost Wizards Of The Coast nothing to make?

  • Today my mom's friend gave me this game for christmas present...

  • This game looks a lot like the Wagic card game on my PSP as far setup goes they look the almost the same.

  • @rickcorkum89

It's dumb for those who don't understand it. Like you. So GTFO AND GO PLAY TETRIS.

  • "A lot of people forget that, that thinking is allowed." lol

  • How can get this game?, do they have a place to download it and is it free?

  • this is not a sport. That is just dumb.

  • @rickcorkum89 why u watching then XD

  • @rickcorkum89 rofl you're an idiot.

  • and on that day not a single gal was sighted

  • Black/Blue is way to op must be nerfed ^^

  • @NASIRUB1 if it would be a sport then magic the gathering wouldnt have so much fat motherfucking players, lol^^

  • who the hell travels to a country just to play M:TG ONLINE when they are physically right next to each otherr???

  • @rossapher24 For 100,000 Dollars I would? Besides the deck are online only and they might not own the cards physically.

  • @rossapher24 people who have their plane tickets paid for and were there to play paper magic anyway.

  • Grave Titan = OP. lolz

  • GEEEKS

  • It looks cool, but I think they should update the graphics so it looks the same as The Duals of the Plain Walker 2012, because it look more stunning and it can really attract more people to this sport.

  • @NASIRUB1 SPORT???? LOOL OH MY¡¡

  • @MrCephalotes lol I'm mean it could be a sport, they have to use their brain which is muscle, I think,

  • @NASIRUB1 "Duals", "Plain", "sport". Really?

  • @nothingelsetodoZ but if you look at MLG (Major League Gaming) they call all their Pro Gamers "athletes" and they even have the sports energy drink companies sponsor them, so I figured Pro Magic players would be considered athletes too.

  • @NASIRUB1 Sport?LMFAO!

  • @GTxWilzee

An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others.

Whether or not you count physical exertion as moving cards/mouses around notwithstanding, the latter part is entirely true.

  • @themanwiththepan I see. There isn't any skill involved. That's why the pros keep winning. It's totally luck. You're a genius.

  • @Gorgormcgor

I was saying the part where it takes skill and they compete against others was true, though the physical exertion part may not?

  • @NASIRUB1 Duals of the Plain Walker 2012? Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012

  • @NASIRUB1 Duals? Plain Walkers? lol

  • @NASIRUB1 SPORT??? more like game. Sports require physical activity

  • @NASIRUB1 True.. I'd instantly start playing it if they improve interface/ graphics.

Such fun game but it's really annoying.. that green table

  • @NASIRUB1 "sport"

  • @NASIRUB1 The game is wayyyyyyyyy to complicated to add graphics like that for every card. It would be cool for sure, but there is 20 years worth of cards they would have to code, it already takes long enough for a set to be released online. Also, it makes it more like playing a real game with the current UI.

  • LOL @ 15:00... Carlos Memoricides after Emrakul. That is one coooool cat.

    "We want... Information." ^_^

  • where can I play this game in such mod/graphics? 2d, online or single or what?

  • @leihoa This is a game from the official magic the gathering website. The game cost 10 USD and comes with a bunch of cards. Just like in real life you can but boosters and decks and play drafts online to get cards. You can also sell boosters and cards to win money if your really good!

  • @Numsy18 hey thanks, I manageg to hget some of the info myself but THANKS. Tell me, 9,99 USD starter + tax, does it offer some decent cards? Same for everyone or random? How much is to buy cards later, you buy em apiece or in packs or what? Sorry for so many q-s.

  • @leihoa As far as i can see you get a 2012 planeswalker started deck pack and 1 booster pack in real life send to your home. The site says you get over 300 magic cards which would seem you get 5 full 60 card decks. So it seems like a good deal if you want to play magic online, just a shame you cant hold them in your hands ;] Good luck with it!

  • @Numsy18 well, I still have not too big knowle=dge about the very game, but well, I ll think about it (are there some low, veeeery low level training players there?) :) Cheers!

  • @leihoa I'm sure you can learn alot from it. You could also try the duel of the planeswalker games on pc or xbox or ps3. you have 8 decks and the game is focused on new players. That game is also 10 USD!

  • If they are right beside each other... why can't they play the real stuff...

  • @rafhalimaxd they have accounts on the online game of magic: the gathering. They don't have the real cards, they have them online.

  • @palkianaruto yea but, since this is a world champpionship, with a 100 000 prize, WotC could give them cards

  • people tell me about this game.i played spectromanser and it is an ok game, what is this game compared to that one?how do i buy it?can i buy once and have all cards or what? are there people still online?

is it based on strategy or luck>what are the problems?

what should ibuy? spectromancer or this?

i want 2d card game not some 3d shit

  • The commentary is so funny

  • forever alone

  • Comment removed

  • @dis194, because magic requires skill whereas in Yu-Gi-Oh you just play all the ridiculously powerful cards... Power. Creep.

  • how is this more popular than yugioh ....

  • lol a trading card game being played on pc, irony

  • @Recallz1 The real irony is the fact that its a trading card game being played on a pc, while they are two feet away from eachother.

  • @Recallz1 it's a lot cheaper, that's why my friend does it

  • @Recallz1 Irony is not the right word

  • @Recallz1 Irony - I'm not quite sure you know what that word means... :/

  • @KieranMac17 And the 36 other people who thumbed it up, I'm sure I know what that word means.

  • i cant be the only person who hates richard fagon. worst commentator ever!!!!!!!!

  • DUDE, when did they start recording the online tourneys with commentary!? legit.

  • It's official, the most boring job in the world is a Magic Online Tournament Announcer.

  • Haha, hes got a "gigantic man in his hand". . .

  • This val deck is stagnant, 3rd game i would of mulligan, what a shithouse hand.......

  • oh look u/b won again, big suprise.

  • ok, can someone tell me why don't they just play the real fucking game with the real cards? I mean they're side by side and playing in a computer?

  • @Poupados That Jace that the Brazilian dude has costs over $100 in real cards. It is a fraction of that price for e-cards. Also, if that is the format they are used to playing, Wizards of the Coast do not want to throw them off their game.

I agree that it is silly seeing them sitting across from each other at the computer, but that is the reasoning: Price and convenience.

  • @Poupados

Probebly becuase the real cards are pricey as fuck.

  • Parabéns Romão!!

    Representando muito bem o Brasil!

  • geez that intro is about 52 seconds too long lol.

  • whats the program they're playing on? looks like fun :)

  • @TheBaxman90 Magic Online :)

  • @TheBaxman90 Magic the Gathering Online Dumbass.

  • Eh brasil oh mané ...... Uhhhhhhhuuuuuuhhhhhhhh Shw de bola .....

  • I do like the taste of food.

  • actually i think earning money by playing MTG kills more brain cells than working in federal government lol

  • i cant believe some fat guy can sit and 'nolife' in front of a computer everyday and win 100,000 dollars....,,this world isn't right >.>

  • @kagej101 So sitting in a cubicle and earning your money by working that way is 'lifing' then and totally right? They've got a skill and by exploiting it they earn money, there is nothing wrong with that at all.

  • @kagej101

and a 200 pound baboon who plays with a ball all day long and earn millions is ok, right?

  • my jimmy jammies i like this british dude

  • Mark Ziegner, by the way.

  • Jesus Wizards, you found the most annoying person on earth to comment on these matches. Look up Day9 and get him casting these matches.

  • why the fuck is there a judge there? lulz

  • Jimmy-Jam-Jammas?

  • why are these top decks sooo f*cking slow...I can win with almost every deck I have in round 5 against decks so slow xD..noobs :P

  • @Wesleyaapje Uh Oh, we forgot who we were dealing with here. Why don't you share you superior decklists with us fellow noobs

  • @ImYourManna My new deck will be complete when MBS comes out..it has whipe protection, creature kill protection, does little amoounts of damage and mid game winner, I never lost a game, yet..the reason why, because there has not been a counterway too play against it..and it;s SO easy to play with..but I keep in mind they are pro's and maybe they can think of something to counter this deck :)..hope so

    thnx for the comment

  • @ImYourManna hehe i like that comment

  • @Wesleyaapje not necisarly slow, its pro vs pro so of course their playing more carefuly, if $100,000 was on the line would you be rushing about like a chicken with your head cut off? also are your decks standard legal? most decks that win turn 5 arnt standard legal

  • @zenex57 well the thing is, I never played against prodecks, I just know my decks are more aggressive which makes it difficult for them to play against. What I like about this game was the emrakul :D, it;s something the other one did not expect, just as most of my decks are. Unexpected.

Maybe round 5 is very fast, but I have done it a couple of times. BUt I must say, I don;t play against prodecks often.

  • And the other question, Yes I play standard, ONLY standard, just because it's more fun to find new inventive ways to play with the new blocks, and how to mix them with the previous block. That's what I like most about Mtg. I dislike the fact that all those older cards are so expensive and there's just too much choice :p Most of my decks are unique and with MBS it most likely is going to get the finals somewhere :)..greets and thnx for the comments :D

  • @zenex57 Asahara did it in turn 5

  • @DM4717 ah, my bad i have this going in the background so i wasnt paying attention, thanks for that :)

  • @zenex57 lol, it's ok. i just felt like pointing out the exception XD i have an extended deck that won on turn 6 with an 80/80 flying, haste

  • @DM4717 impresive! gratz on that

  • @zenex57 yeah, and IF i don't get completely screwed over and the hand of God himself shuffles my library, i can get my finisher to 400,000/400,000 turn 30

  • @DM4717 lol sounds like my hydras XD

  • @zenex57 mana accelerating elves + Omnath + 4 doubling seasons + 4 Wolfbriars + Predator Dragon + Garruk= one huge beast that rapes the entire multiverse at 400,000/400,000 flying, trample, and haste... here I rule :D

  • @DM4717 lol doomblade XD naw i wouldnt do that, 200 trample damage around turn 15 ish with like 7 creatures is my best, everyone else concededs before i can swing :(

  • @zenex57 lol IT IS possibly to win on turn 1 in standard O_o

  • @zenex57 I won turn 3 with a quest deck...

Nothing to do with what you just said, just saying that turn 5 kill can happen.

  • @Clock83131 Just board in some pyroclasms or whatever and quest decks looses their touch. There are always to counter a deck. I persume you mean quest for the holy relic

  • @Clock83131 There are always a way of countering decks. Just board in some pyroclasms or whatever, and quest for the holy relic looses its touch. Or just any artifact / enchanment hate

  • @zenex57

    kuldotha red. just saying.

  • @Cestridicule fair enought

  • @zenex57 I could win turn 5 with my deck...but i probably wouldnt have made to worlds so...:/

  • @zenex57 I see that you posted this 8 months ago. Ahh... Zen/Scars Standard without Exarch Twin combo... those were the days. >_<

  • @zenex57 plus in finals they don't have a time limit. Normally MtG is played in best two out of three matches with 50 minutes for the entire round. For finals of tournaments it's typically best 3 of 5 with no time limit. So there's no reason not to be very cautious.

  • lol. "They're gonna go around and embrace... err, handshake..."

Hey Rich, you DO know Asahara is Japanese, right? They're not typically so big on the embracing strangers bit. I would have found it classy if Carlos had offered a bow rather than a handshake, seeing as how he had just come to Japan and beat the homeland hero for the worlds title... but then I think anyone's head would be fuzzy with "OMG I WON I WON". ^_^

  • @zenex57

"Not necessarily slow. It's pro vs pro, so of course they're playing more carefully. If $100,000 were on the line, would you be rushing like a chicken with your head cut off. Also, are your decks standard legal? Most decks that win on turn 5 aren't standard legal."

Holy shit, did you drop out of 3rd grade or something? How can you even operate a computer with that lack of linguistic comprehension?

  • @Nerdicusable Nope, I'm a English honors student, but I really don't care about spelling. I plan on being a programmer not a kindergarten teacher, so fuck off.

  • @Nerdicusable He was 100% correct in his language, except for exchanging a question mark for a dot on one place.

You should look over the judgement you place upon others.

  • they need to make something like this for yugioh

  • @TwistaG No, because Yu Gi Oh is for faggots, like you.

  • @ThePortableOps Yu-gi-oh isn't bad at all. Sure it may be based off of a TV Show aimed at Children but there is a whole ton of benefit for those more "mature" players. Especially this format, where there no fewer than ten Decks that are actually very viable.

  • @ThePortableOps Dude, Yu Gi Oh doesn't suck.. :/ I'd rather play it than meet you. :P

  • $17000 for CONSOLATION PRIZE?? Damn it all, Wizards, establish this kind of shit in Sweden!

  • So are all tournaments going to be played via a PC, even though they are sitting right in front of each other?

  • jimmy jam jahmas

  • Anyone that says playing Magic online is better than playing with real cards is completely missing the point of MTG. MTG is a social game... Some of my best times I had growing up were sitting around a table, drinking and playing MTG with friends until the wee hours of the morning. That's not something you can get with a computer screen. You're completely detached from the other people.... and no, someone typing LOL in the chatbox in-game doesn't constitute a social interaction.

  • @thedarkdomino I agree. Plus who wants to pay for virtual cards? I would rather hold the card then just see it.

  • @rammstein99835 both of you are missing what people who say that are talking about. In a competitive pro scene, MTGO is better than MTG, because you can constantly play top players across the world rather than be limited to the people in your area, and is a way for people who don't have a magic scene to get into the game.

  • @CHAOSBLACKDOOM I understand that but I still believe that you lose the social aspect of the game. Obviously, for someone who doesn't have a magic scene by them or is looking to play against pros then MTGO is wonderful.

  • @rammstein99835 I agree with the social aspect. It's non-existant. It just seemed like your original arguement lacked the competitive side. But yeah, we're in agreeance then.

  • @thedarkdomino ok but it is bettr to play this game online then some other retarded game

  • money!!!

  • god i really wish they would start uploading in hd....

  • @cdavaz They can give $100,000 cash but they can't shoot a HD video...Nice...

  • @doxaios83 I dont think the game is HD so there wouldn't be much point to shooting it in HD.

  • @ryans32123 The game was on a pc. So it was in HD quality.

  • oh man u guys are awesome. but u do needa up the volume =P

  • i know MTG has to sell cards to make money, but from a spectator's perspective, MTGO is the way to go in terms of understanding everything thats going on. Plus, there is alot less "watching people shuffle cards" which takes up more time than the actual gameplay.

  • I'm more impressed with the payout than the game itself.

  • @etaang The game is pretty good, but yes, the money is kind of ridiculous.

  • THAAAAAAAAT'S lethalllllllll.......

  • Intense.

  • @whatthetofu There's no way you could have seen it. Way to put a random adjective in the comment section so you could get first without looking like a tool (which you failed at).

  • @UpTheIrons1994 easy bro. its a youtube video

  • @3N43K Ignorance comes in all forms.

  • @UpTheIrons1994 He says one word and you hop on his case. Plus ignorance isn't really present here seeing as he was not "unknowing" of anything by saying one word about the video. I guess you were just jealous that you didn't get a first.

  • @3N43K Also a stupid assertion: because I don't posses something (or in this case, being first) I must be jealous of it. If you want to keep believing that there's nothing I can say to make you cease that belief, but I'm telling you that being first isn't really something I regard with bountiful respect or admiration.
