just got to play with sl4 today, they took out the reverse input toggle button at the top...it's just a shortcut command now i believe, ctrl- shift- / for mac...not sure bout for pc...
There's an easier way of switching decks without doubling.. Set one side to "absolute" or "relative" (let's say left side) and the other to "internal" on Serato(right). Load a song on side with the table(left) and start playing. While it's playing, click on the left/right crossover button at the top of Serato. This switches the left side of Serato to "internal" and the right side to "absolute" or "relative" as you had it set before. Your table will be now available for use as the "right" side.
@JoeSchmoe131: Thanks JoeSchmoe, that is another very valid method.
It is good that this thread has shown that there are at least three ways of mixing with only one deck should one go down when you are playing out, if you don't like the method I have shown.
@prasiatenko im 100% sure you can because iv done it. you can also do it in traktor by starting one song on the deck, then grag the same track into deck 2 and they will be exactly the same

@DJZobe - That is a bind. At least the shortcur key is still there, but there is nothing like a "switch" to flick!

@hueysweeney:
My word, does it show? Tee-hee!
I now have a Behringer DDM400. A (very) budget mixer, but loads of functions.

Hi! Nice vid. I have one question. Can you do this using midi, like one cdj 400?
prasiatenko 2 years ago
I have no idea, sorry! :o)
Can any one else help?
dibley1973 2 years ago
Yes, basic MIDI is guaranteed to work.
Not sure about native though (full mapping), some controllers are, and some aren't.
It varies between software and hardware devices.

instant doubles is a lot easier, dragging it over to the right deck so you stay on the left the whole time.

That is probably a fair comment. but it is always nice to have more than one solution to a problem.
