  • if you really think she's pronouncing it wrong... try learning french instead of doing ignorant comments...

  • If you think she is pronouncing it wrong then you pronounce it the "american way".

If you speak french you'll understand this: think about the verb être, to be, think about how the "e" sounds. Now say "crêpe" with that same "e" sound. She isn't pronouncing it wrong. She may have tweaked it a few times but otherwise it was fine. Take it from someone who speaks french! :D

  • crap crap crap... hahaha. at the end she can even pronouce the french word correctly..? are you even french?

  • CLEAN YOUR STOVE!!

  • This sooo yummy and easty to make. This is my favorite pancake recipe :) I do not like waffles and all those fluffy american pancakes but these are so tasty and amazing!

  • That lemon juice bottle was adorable!

  • It's not asian music!!! OMG!!!! It's typical Moroccan music, played with the Ud, the traditional Moroccan guitar!

  • Need to lose that horrible asian background music in your vid..! Great recipe though!! Krep!

  • I have all these ingredients and am working from home today. Productivity--.

  • This is how they really do it in Paris: See video YZ5artx18Qs

  • you guys are idiots, and i'm assuming a majority of you are ignorant americans who think crepes are an american food or something. the actual way you pronounce it is like krep.. cause it's a french word... but of course, americans being the ignorant people they are, think their version of saying it is the right way lol. its pronounced krep, not crape idiots.

  • @ashleyynicolex (AND everyone else)

    ???

    Seriously?

We are searching for videos on crepes and... what? Yes there might be some sophomoric humor about the videographer's pronunciation. But targeting ...Americans? Like we all improperly speak, pronounce, understand, or target those that don't.... Yikes.

The rest of you... grow up, please.

  • are you reading cue cards?

  • When my mom makes crepe, we put jam/ jelly on it (in any flavor) and roll it up and eat it like a hotdog lol. Or we sprinkle sugar on it when we poor the batter on the pan and eat it plain. It's actually REALLY good.

  • @iAlwaysPickJK That is no crêpe suzette, although lemon and sugar is a nice combo (had it only been proper lemon juice; that thing she's adding should only be used for cleaning your bathtub).

  • @nyo267n that's what i tried to say haha

  • @iAlwaysPickJK I got that. I wasn't trying to correct you, if it seemed that way :)

  • Wow, why are there so many people who actually give a crap whether her method is 100% authentic or not. She DID say this is how SHE makes it not that it was 100% the correct way. Geez, she was basically trying to show you an easy way to get tasty crepes at home. Stop being so hateful people. It just makes you look bad.

  • whoever is saying this crepe needs grand marnier (alchool) well if you look at other videos of alia you will notice she celebrates ramadan therefor she does not drink alchool so this is her version of it and it is good

  • yum, i don't care what people say, my husband wouldn't know any difference .....

  • 24 people are racist and they hate french people.

  • sounds like shes saying "scraps"

  • Anybody who tries to tell her what the correct recipe for crepes is needs to remember that, in the culinary industry, recipes are guidelines. The ingredients aren't set in cement. You can mix them and match them to your liking. That's how a real chef cooks.

  • Marry me!

  • CREPE SUZETTE !!

Butter, Sugar, Grand Marnier (Orange Liquor )

SAcre Bleu !! Ma grand mere est Furieuse !!

  • @johnmillerllc

yessss sh's doing very well, it's not even our second langue but the third after Arabic and French so bravo to this woman!

  • If i want to make one single crepe, how much of each thing do i use?

  • I wish my girl friend could cook as good as you :(

  • ITS EMBARRASSING FOR A MOROCCAN GIRL TO B MAKING FRENCH CREPES

  • @BUCKSHOTBLACK00 I think it's cool that she makes all types of foods. It's not uncommon for Americans or people from other countries to do cooking classes on ethnic foods that are different from their own. It seems like she's doing it the French way and not changing it like other cooks do to make it more like their own culture.

  • i thought Crepe was pronounced like Crape

  • and what ? it changed the taste of crêpes ?

  • @madiha158 what?

  • What's the chocolate you use? Great video!

  • If you are cooking a french recipe why you put moroccan music? it' s strange!

  • the french man .. says .... after cook one crepe.. live it in the pan .. add melted butter on it ... litle sugar on top and one half shot of GRAND MARNIER ... ( the best orrange licor in france ) ... fire a matche.. or live it like this .. fold it .. and and tell me about it .. it will smell at one half mile out of your kitchen and your neihbourgs will come over ask you .... hummmmmmmm what is that smelling ...??? try it ..

  • if a crepe is basically a pancake with stuff in it, can't you just use pancake batter and put the stuff in it? or is this method used to make it taste better?

  • if a crepe is basically a pancake with stuff in it, can't you just use pancake powder and put the stuff in it? or is this method used to make it taste better?

  • @animefanfreak236 nop the pancake powder taste different!!!

  • LESS TALKING MORE COOKING. my stiffie only lasts for so long

  • Keep in mind that the first crap is not always good. So its ok if you miss the first crap.

  • BTW i never heard of boiling the milk in makign crepes...

  • im french i know how to make crepes.Really your supposed to wait 2 hours after your done making the crepe batter.this soothes out the batter and makes it much creamier.

Please, the recepie is so good, and the creps looking fantastic.

  • @kessy1247

    3/4 cup of flour = 85 grams

you can actually type in the google search 'conversions of U.S. and metrics' and you can get all the conversions. Also, you can print the recipes from my website cookingwithalia(dot)com.

    hope this helps!

  • Why do you have to heat up the milk?

  • dans les crêpe française il n'y a jamais eu de beur enfin tout et bon a prendre bon appétit

  • Wow that looks YUMMY! and fun to make. Love the music in the back ground. :)

  • halia YOU ARE SOO SEXY.....can you cook for me ?

  • @barerandom her name is alia!! xD

  • hungryyy :( already eaten the food for this month :( gotta check some bins

  • What's the point of heating the milk?

Your crepes look a little thick.

That is NOT Crepes Suzette! If a Frenchman saw you squirting that stuff out of that little yellow turd they would be appalled.

But you seem like a nice lady.

  • @feltwiener69

When you heat up the milk it gives more moisture to the flour, and the texture of the batter is much smoother and you do not have to let the flour rest for 20 minutes like in the classic recipe. and yes, I agree with you, I screwed up with the 'crepes suzette'. I used to call them like this when I was a kid and I never realized it was the wrong name!

  • @cookingwithalia

how to flip the crepe? i always mess up in cooking it, either a lot of holes come up on my crepe or it would just stick to the pan and it takes so much effort to flip it over, i end up tearing it apart.

  • @feltwiener69 lol little yellow turd

  • @feltwiener69 First time I met French people in 1996 and they cook us (me and my mates) crepes........... well we called it pan cakes to wind them up! But for real it was much thinner than that!

  • @feltwiener69 OH PHUK YOU EAT CRAP AT MICKEY D S ALL DAY REDNECK PHUK

  • When do you add the Vanilla? Is it during the butter and milk process?

  • @hellduck23 various recipes call for hot liquid, e.g. potstickers, won tons, chinese crepes
