The Cyprus government kept and maintained properties and mosques in the south. That is why today we have the Halla Sultan Tekka etc and the Turkish parts of Larnaca which are occupied by Turks. The land in the north does not belong to the people who are selling it and the churches have all been destroyed and their contents sold.
