You should really avoid this mouse if at all possible. Its great for a week but if you spend more than a few hours on your computer a day, expect major hand cramps from the un-ergonomic shape. Also expect to replace batteries every 2 weeks. Looks great, but doesn't make sense for actual use.

@Xaron it's actually really nice to use, especially when you use 3rd party preferences that let you customize what different swipes, clicks, and taps do. I haven't come across anything that it doesn't work great with, but if I were a gamer I definitely would not get it. Besides games I personally don't see how it could be useless at anything "serious". Could you be more specific?

Otherwise it registers as a left click. So while it is sure cool for all the swipes and stuff, it's not practical for the most used one :)

I know a lot of people that have Windows (that'd be me) say apple sucks and what not. Me being a Windows user I must say from the computers at my school I really do hate Macintosh computers. I don't like the design of the computers but I must say Apple has fantastic technology such as the Apple iPod Touch. Don't trash on me because I don't like their computer, I love a lot of their technology =)

what would be awesome is a key board that is just a white pad with no keys (as mentioned below) but is backlit when the pc is on and it will tell you where the keys are. obviously this will have a highly sensitive touch sensor. and that would be a keyboard i would buy

very informative though. i didn't realize the middle button and expose were gone. i already use a hot corner and they're not too convenient. this is enough to turn me off of this new mouse. i was excited too. i thought maybe expose would be achieved by 2 fingers on the mouse moving away from eachother and vice versa. maybe you can set up a control+click to activate the middle button?

hell no, for games you need an ergonomic mouse, this is really hard to even grip lol. on top of that you need dual click as the most basic feature, this doesnt even have that. plus there is no centre click, and the multi touch is no where near responsive enough to suffice.

gaming mouses need to have wieght, and this mouse is so light that you cant even side scroll on the multitouch without the entire thing slipping. i suggest you buy a high end logitech gaming mouse for less money.

the weirdest thing i've noticed using this is the basic scrolling up or down seems more like nudging the page compared to the digital feel of a basic scroll ball. But at least it won't get clogged up like the mini scroll ball on the mighty mouse.

this thing kicks ass, i just got mine. The size is good, you get used to it. The track speed is the same as the older mighty mouse.

They need to eventually rewrite the code to allow more custom gesture controls but it's a great new mouse to start out with.

Thank you for this video. I personally don't care about the side buttons mainly because mine would always get stuck and I would have weird windows moving every were also the track ball on the mighty mouse track ball on top you can fix it by rubbing a slightly damp paper towel on it and get a clean sheet of paper then turn it upside down and just role it around to get the dirt out. Thats what I do. I do like the idea of this new mouse allot.
