We need to get back to a healthy understanding of federalism. Voters need to focus change more at the state level rather than at the national level because this "one-size fits all" federal fascination just doesn't work. Example: the proper minimum wage in CA is going to be much higher than the proper minimum wage in MS. So a minimum wage standard set for all states is guaranteed to hurt the workers of those states unless addressed on a more personal state level. It's elementary economics.
