I'd question the more grandiose claims here, as if he was some sort of celebrity. As for his fame as a writer, most of his literary legacy seems to be the fictional reviews he posted on IMDB about lost movies which, though the courtesy of an equally fictitious J. Paul Getty-style billionaire film-fan friend's impossible collection, "MacIntyre" alone was able to screen for himself. It's fantasist nonsense.
