1: This is a low quality VHS dub of a (most likely) timecoded copy of the original 2" quad master tapes.

2: The original person who would of let this video leak on the internet would of either put the blurred lines on it as it's rare, or it could just be a piss poor job and trying to remove time codes, but it should only have 1 time code.

3: Betty is singing. Mary is lip syncing.

@bailinnumberguy Betty Weiss was/is Mary's older sister. She apparently didn't like touring and live appearances, so she is absent from many of the videos, but she recorded with them. Some say this song (Shout) was recorded by Betty and Mary is lip synching. If you keep looking at the Shangri Las' You Tube videos, there are some where they are a 4-some with Betty. Both Mary and Betty are still living. The twins who were the other half of the SLs are both deceased. Hope that helps.

When they started recording their first album in 1964, Betty was the lead singer. However, when she became pregnant with her daughter during the recording, Mary was promoted to lead.
