Been waiting for someone to post some vids from this tv series. Just checked out of curiosity et voila! Watched it as a kid - I was 9. Obviously it freaked me out! But as a kid I was a mad Horror fan.
Brilliant! I vaguely remember this as a child. They just don't make drama like this anymore, everything's so fast paced, people are so impatient...thanks
@Poldark3 There is a tradition of foundation sacrifices/offerings from prehistoric to early modern times. Sometimes a dog or other animal was buried under the theshold or immured to serve as a watchdog against evil, but also grain, wine, beer, flowers or tools were found. Human sacrifices: no evidence, but mentioned in fairy tales and Storm:Schimmelreiter and Chevalier:Virgin Blue. Don´t know of any use as a curse. Enjoyed this one a lot, just wish they had not shown it finally. Thanks for sharing.
@Poldark3 Yes, lets get rid of the ghost and take over the cottage: Beasts Baby meets Beetlejuice !
One flaw: Ever tried to get rid of a dead rat, mouse, spider? You´d never touch it, use some tool or gloves instead. Here they just pass it around like a bottle of beer and it all looks so wrong!
I first saw this when I was 14,,just wondering where was it filmed? Also,I have heard that in real life, such things have been found. Please, can anyone comment on this also, thanks.
Thank you SO much for uploading this ! This programme has haunted me for 35 years ever since I was allowed to watch it when it aired in 1976 and I was just 8 !! I can't believe I have just seen it again and *still* found it so creepy. Brilliant :o)
