You must have the Wii version of the game. Unfortunately, only the original GameCube version offered the ability to play as either a boy or a girl. In the Wii re-release of the same game, the female option was removed and you can only be a boy. Sorry about that! D=

How do you get the animal kingdom note? Do you need 8 animals and 5 chickens at once? Or do you need 8 animals and 5 chickens in the past? Plz answer back

You need them all at once. That means that, on the day you get the Note, you have to have a completely full coop AND a full barn of the highest upgrade.

I remember having had a ton of trouble with that Note in the past (it doesn't always seem to come immediately...or something...I don't know; I don't quite understand it) but I'm pretty sure that's what it requires. Sorry I can't be more specific about the problems (it's been a while since I've played...), but good luck!

Not that I know of, in terms of gameplay... But the major difference is that the Wii version removed the option to play as a girl, so you can only be a boy, and there's no marrying the 10 available bachelors.

In the GameCube version of the game that was released in North America, you'd be prompted to select your gender upon starting a New Game. For the Wii version, the option to play as a girl was removed. Sorry. D=

Yep. It was first released in Europe (they never got the GC version because they had to wait a lot longer for their translation). But, like I said, in that Wii game, only the male character is playable.

The Wii port of Magical Melody was then rereleased for North America - just about two weeks ago, actually - but there's still no girl player.

Well, I think the only difference is that, in Europe, the game was ONLY released for Wii. In North America, it was originally released for GameCube, and THEN rereleased for Wii.

In the GC NA one, you can play as a girl OR a boy. In the NA and EU Wii versions, you can only play as a boy (the girl character was removed).

Hope that makes sense. xP; I don't think there's any difference between the NA Wii one and the EU Wii one. The only difference is between Wii and GC.

I just like the first one they got for GameCube, A Wonderful Life, so much more.

I mean, Magical Melody is fun, yeah, but I feel like every single day is the same, and it leads up to what? Nothing, basically.

The notes are pretty hard to get, so that marks off one thing I want to have to work for.

And then your child doesn't even grow up!

I was so mad when I found that out!

i foraged for food until i had 3,000 gold. then I bought bell peppers from spring farm. Bought a frying pan, made fried veg and sold em for over double. Im on fall 6, year one... and have a level 3 house, a barn, coop, a bunch of property a lot of hearts with the villagers, a large bed, large kitchen,41 notes. blah blah blah... you get the point. It was super easy by using this simple cooking trick.

I personally have my mind set on "lucky" (or in Japanese, "rakki"). Other people think it's something like "taki" or "daki" - some kind of Japanese word or sound effect I've never heard about? I don't think anyone really knows for sure. xP
