  • you talk like sheldon from big bang theory

  • are Peripheral and molex conectors the same?

  • @TizHancock All the connectors on the PSU itself are identical, but the PCI-E plugs are colored.

  • i have a dell xps410 with 375w psu will this work in it and can it hurt is there such a thing as to much power.

  • Hahaha an installation CD for a PSU?? LOL you can't really use the CD until you get the PSU installed!

  • if you see the vid you see why there is the cd..

  • @kidowner Just in case you never got your answer, its for the software to control it (remember that USB cable at the start of the vid?). You can use it to control fan speeds, voltage, view the diagnostics such as voltage and fan speeds, amperage, and temperatures from the temperature probes provided.

  • @mew905 lol. not to be rude but if u read that was a response to a guy who didnt know why a cd would have been included with a psu

  • @kidowner Ah, yeah I didnt see it was a response XD my bad

  • Great reviews - best of their kind on YouTube, I have purchased several items for my new rebuild after seeing them reviewed here. (including one of these incredible PSUs - Thanks Mate!

  • Is this power suply enough for my PC: 295GTX redline, 4GB of ddr2 memory, 1,5 TB- HD, core 2 duo-3.0 Ghz.

    Thanks =)

  • If I were you buy the gigabyte odin pro 1200 watts. (If your planing to go on SLI but if not 850 watts would do good)

  • wtf who even uses all 850 watts in quad SLI with like 5 Hard drives and blu ray drives etc? let alone 1200 watts jesus 1200 watts is obviously not worth it even for the future

  • @2007FORLife I know this is almost a year after you posted but I find it so funny when nVidia just released the GTX 480, the card that sucks away 400 watts on its own.

  • @mew905 The Card Blows Hard dude, ATI > nVidia :L

  • @2007FORLife I know, but the power consumption is out of this world LOL. My next card 100% is going to be the 5870 or better

  • yeah.

  • i hope rodney will make a vid of all his bloopers^_^

    do you like that guys?

  • Me again - With the software included on this, there is a 'C' button at the bottom, in the middle, between 'M' on the left and 'A' on the right; M being monitor, A alarm and C configuration. What is the point of configuring the voltage? Better overclocking? If I raise the +12v, will i be able to overclock my graphics card more? Cos whenever I run a GPU test program, the +12V3 current goes up to 14Amps and flashes.

    Anyone, shed light?

  • how can you check to see how much V your power supply does on your computer

  • maybe with the software that he three times pointed out is included?

  • People may be interested to know

0.01-0.07 Amps is very very painful 0.07-0.1 stop you breathing, 0.1-0.2 WILL kill you, 0.2-1.0 won't kill you (research it if you want to know why), over 1.5 will burn your organs, 28 Amps will obliterate you.

  • you just know now you said that a goverment agent is thinking of a way to make this in a gun, like a tazor but no wire. hell if you can get 28 amp + in to a body it would be like something off startrek or doctor who. Cybermen much?

  • lol, 28 amps of current running through your body will literally cook you, no joke...

  • eep... microphone problems, disturbed my ears...otherwise great review

  • one question before i buy this - with the thermal sensors, would it be possible for me to cover one of the sensors with cling film (thin plastic) and lower it into my resevoir for temps?

  • I think that dipping anything in water that comes from an 800W PSU is a bad idea...

  • it wont damage the power supply at all, only the sensor.

answer the questionm, will it work. otherwise dont reply.

  • steady there, no need to go all angry.

  • great review, and i agree this is 100% ka. the software and the blue LEDs are what sets it apart from the crowd.

  • I have a question though... since 12v1 and +12v2 rails can provide up to 18 amps, while the +12v3 and +12v4 rails each support up to 25A each, what if I overload a rail over 25A? Will it go to other rails?

  • Only the third rail supports 25 amperes. Rails one, two, and four support only 18 amperes each.

  • Oops. I was looking at the Odin Pro 800W. Sorry. Yeah, the third and fourth rails support 25 amperes.

  • glad it got a good review, just bought the 550Watt model today and i must say it is an awesome piece of kit

  • Awesome review Rodney. :)

  • would this PSU support 2 HIS ATI4870 video cards??? because each card has 2 6pin connectors on it

  • ye of course it can

  • I like this PSU!!

Its not long till I have my Odin GT

  • how much are they?

  • 100 pounds in UK

  • wow...I just bought a new PSU but now I want this one!

  • Man I'm buying this shit, looks awesome.

  • will this support nvidia 8800gtx card?

  • yes

  • thanks

  • actually a sli gtx setup only consumers 550watts under maximum load so a 100watt is overkill

  • i always buy gigabyte components whenever possible these guys have the smartest pple working for them! in PSUs hiper comes a close second! i like their Type R series i have the 580W anyways gigabyte rules!

  • nice revieuw rodney 5/5 but i wonder is this the better coise to power up my quad pc

  • You must be retarded. Its not hard at all.

  • Retard.

  • Corsair 620 HX is kickass!!

  • Another KICKASS review!

  • I want one of those ODINs ;-)

  • Great review Rodney :) Keep up the good work!

  • Great stuff Rodney! Keep up the good work!!!

  • Almost to 900 videos!

  • Sweet review Rodney! :) Best blooper ever at the end. It had me rolling on the floor when you were like "this power supply has..." followed by some noise... Great! hahaha

  • awesome PSU and very nice review 10\10

  • Very similar to the OCZ XTream

  • Grate PSU & Grate video 5starts

  • lol your spelling is not so GREAT.

    ruh.

  • You should check the voltage regulation...

  • 100% Kickass!

Kickass, wicked! Kickass, wicked! Kickass, wicked!

Until the next time, take care.

  • Very good review!!!!

  • Good review but you talk a tad bit fast.

    5/5

  • Nice review!!! 13 till 900 vids Rodney!!!

  • What are you using to Cool the CPU cause if the temps i see on your video 34 core 1 24 core 2 24 core 3 24 core 4 22 and you overclocked to 3.4ghz i have Swiftech watercooling and im overclocked to 3.2ghz with Q6600 and i get temps of 45c idle and all most 60c load

  • this isn't the cpu temperature it's the temperature of the thermal sensors you can plug into the power supply...

  • well no duh the thermal sensors can go anywhere to the CPU anything you wanna plug them into -_-

  • Hmmm... I don't think it's possibly to put a thermal sencor on the cpu :P

There's a CPU-cooler on top of it XD

  • lmao do you guys know anything about computers?

  • I know a pretty good deal about compuetrs ;)

But how do you suppose it's possibly to put a physical tempreature sencor between the CPU and the cooler?

  • you dont, you use the inbilt sencor from the motherbord

  • niiidar u dont no much they put temperature sensor under the socket 90% of the time so think be for you talk

  • 5 stars Rodney! :)

  • Sweet

  • My friend has this. He loves it.

    Keep it up, Rodney!
