  • I like this!!

  • Dr.Prone - no, not really you fucking douchebag moron‼

  • Every pussy could play this crap

  • I have this game in iPad and y have 24 years and more good than this boy

  • to be honest.. the guy who is playing the reactable isnt realy knowing what he do.. anywhere her u can find some better ''song'' played..

  • looks like waste of money to me...

  • how much would one cost? very cool !!!

  • nobody ever done something cool with that useless stuff.

  • Honestly, I think this is an amazing thing. DJ's and musicians just need to learn to "play" on it. Give a piano to a two year old and its not gonna sound right, but put the two year old to music lessons and in a couple of years listen to it play again. ReacTable has massive potential! Massive!!

  • @g30r63neobeenet

I think playing a piano is far better than doing music with some of this things.

Give a piano to a two year old and is not gonna sound right, let him grow up and it may sound wonderful.

  • bleep blop bloop

  • super! sounds like crap!

  • I think everyone with this table could write awesome music. Table won't allow you to play shit. :D

  • suckish.. make it touch screen and give it loghts and put a giant price tag on it.. when it is making simple sounds that something cheaper could make 10 times better... LAME!

  • People actually enjoy this ear piercing nonsense?

  • Probably the coolest thing ever!

  • maybe the music not so great but think of the tech, its really cool.

  • it´s my impression or the reactable is giving some lag´s? or its the camera?

  • @Ragnarok03est

or your pc is lagging, when you play videos;)

  • someone should remix it :) ... nice melody for some techno track hehe

  • i wanna dj with it sooooooooooooooo bad

  • I want to play, hopefully I can make this happen in the near future!

  • Yeah.. this is pretty retarded. On so many levels. I imagine this is the would be the instrument Corky from life goes on would have invented.

  • cool

  • fuori dal normale xDxD

  • how and where and how much are these bad boys to buy???

  • around 25,000 is how they price it right now

  • dope dope dope shit this is the future of djing/vjing and live music performances

  • @jvg123abc LOL WHAT!!?!?? THIS IS THE FUTURE OF LIVE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES!?!? ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?! lol This generation doesn't stand a chance.

  • it is music... but it sucks... very clever and all that!!

  • of course this is music you twits...

  • Muito massa essa mesa !

  • ME WANTY BREAKY

  • Nice. You could prepare that thing properly and it would generate its own melody. So you could just lay back and listen.

  • This is beautiful!

  • okay everyone hating on this machine is so ignorant. try looking into other videos with the progressed invention as it reaches its final draft. this is probably one of the greatest advances in music today. i would love to see any of you try to create such sound on this device

oh and ps, i'm not a dumb kid, i've been a concert violinist for 20 years.

  • future of djing :P

  • "oh and ps, i'm not a dumb kid, i've been a concert violinist for 20 years"

Kid your profile says you're 19 yrs old.

A concert violinist wouldn't be on YouTube arguing this point either.....

  • post a link, mr freaking smarty pants!

  • this guy just cant play.. this aint music

  • i wish my walls would do this !

  • omg, if i had one of these to play with all day, i think i would lose my mind my the next day. that or i would be a music genius. is this what music is coming to? because i must say, i like it.

  • That instument has a similar appeal as Benjamin Franklin's Armonica. It's very unusal.

  • (with tongue firmly planted in cheek)

If you have an annoying relative, this would make an excellent gift for their small children. The entertainment value gleaned from seeing the sheer joy in their children and the annoyed parents would be worth it..

    heh...

I am also wondering after a customer sets this thing off...could the manufacturer be held liable after the ET ship lands and the customer is abducted and probed by aliens. Really, something Corporate legal should look into.

  • rofl

  • One could argue that all musical devices / instruments are just noise machines music is organized noise after all

  • full acid

  • Theres not enough extacy in the world to make that sound like music

  • yea but a good electronic producer can take this and make a song out of it with only these sounds. music is everywhere, people like me like to tweak sounds and make music out of them =)

  • what purpose does this interface serve. This shit is moving in the wrong direction. BTW I know where music is. Iv cut sick on some wicked fuel-pump beats before =)

  • cool, but it serves as a revolution in music making. its at its basic concepts in this stage right now. best example i can come up with right now are midi devices. People back in the day would have said whats the purpose of theme if they didnt make music. im sure theres a better example i could use but yea..

I wanna see how far this stuff goes..

  • It serves as a technical feat nota revolution in music making. I understand that at the dawn of electronic music there was plenty of criticisms but that doesnt mean that every new instrument is significant. I just think this looks like the work of techheads not musicians.

  • ye i'd like to hear what a musician can make of this.

until then its just an interesting novelty

  • in other video they use a "box" like these ones, that reproduces a beat, a base, im sure that its possible to make music with this "thing", u can be all the band in one by recording your bass, beats, guitars bases, and putting them in that table!! :)

  • Kudos on the spelling...

  • Whats the inflection dude? Is it sarcasm brcause i didnt think it was that bad? If it is, can you pls critique it for me?

  • extacy

  • it can be music if u want it to be music. but maybe the guy didnt have a lot of practice.

  • Its awesome and it looks cool

  • i want one for my 92' subaru pickup track!

  • better than every Keybaord, espazially also for children would it be phantastic not only for adults!

  • dang i like it. looks really cool

  • Fantastic!

  • Funky machine!

For another great musical innovation you have to check RHYTHMTANDEM.

  • i can buy thisbut it cost 3000

  • dang if thats right its less than i expected. i read on their site it should be mass produced in a couple months

  • really cool, i played with the reacTable in Linz, Austria

    everyone should try it! ;)

  • terribly annoying

  • sure people will make heaps of money out of it.

  • they had one of these at a museum at a city by me and i just couldnt get off of it! soooo insanely cool!!!!

  • i dont think the sounds of the reactable are impressive at all...but the amazing user interface makes up for it all!!!

  • !!!!!!!!! realy NEW wave!!! bravo!!!

  • saw some people were wondering on the live aspect of this "instrument"... well, suggest you check out some Bjork videos, she uses this on her latest tour if i'm not mistaken.

  • no,you're not.she embraced this interractive instrument&made wonders with it!saw herlive &had the chance to check it out.i thing it brings a new wave indeed in the electro music scene.maybe it's an evolution for all the people that expect sth more than the known electro organs, like synths.along with other instruments,it could bring an evolution to music,&through music evolution, evolution of minds.on the other hand, vth is about money nowadays.but there are people who bring the next step still

  • I need buy this.

  • but therefor are the table, the beamer and the modifiers? i would prefer to use only the software on a pc... much cheaper, same effect AND not so much lag

  • lol close encounters of the 3rd kind ^_^

  • This is actually a camera/projector underneath the table that reads the blocks and feeds it to a program, he was most likely just using a slow computer

  • LOOKS GREAT, SOUNDS LIKE SHIT!

  • lol agreed

  • @ezraj80 yea i agree with u but the reason that djs dnt rlly use this is cuz its pretty had to use this was from 2005 (the table)

  • looks awesome

  • i totally agree, i cant see how the live aspect of this would work, it looks really cool and interesting, but it always sounds terrible

  • Better than the one in berlin...but not good...

    :S

  • most of these seem to be really bad. someone with more skill needs to teach them a thing or two

  • rosstalbot, I was using a cheap digital compact camera - I wouldn't be surprised if it's A Bit Out. Though if I recall correctly, there also was a teeny bit of lag on Reactable's response to the blocks being moved around. Probably a combination of factors.

  • Is it just me or is the video out of sink with the audio? (i.e. the audio is lagged by +/- 1 second)

  • um. o.o youtube fucks up a lot of vid/audio stuff. yeah x.x sucks lol.

  • - that should have read sync (not sink) before anyone else rushes to correct it.

    markaitchbee/myungsupah,

Thanks for the explanation on the audio lag.

  • this music suck but the reactable is nice

  • Where did u get that thing tht is so cool makes cool sounds

  • So cool!

  • is this available for purchase

    this looks really cool

  • COOL! now ANYBODY can make music

    all my dreams are crushed

  • electroplankton.........

  • You can say what you want about the machine, but you still have to admit it is a pretty innovative technology.

  • killed all djs

  • Djs will make it better. LOL

  • if they are actualy good dj's then they wont be out of the job they could make it wayyyyy cooler if they good

  • I heard some sound from the move: Close Encounter Of Third Kind. Did anyone else notice or do you not remember the movie?

  • this isnt called a siggraph, its called a reactable, and who ever is playing it sucks ass. check out the proper demos or anything to do with bjork.

  • SIGGRAPH is a once a year technologies/3d animation convention that's held in rotating cities. It draws people from all over the world.

  • so basicly the video should be called 'reactable at siggraph -insert year here-'

  • Isn't it nice when someone posts a flaming comment, thinking they're really clever, when they're actually just wrong?

  • It looks cool, but it sounds like crap.

  • sound crappy GETTA LOAD OF THIS!muahaha!!!

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=3DNz7LTb1hw

  • i NEED this

  • then go build one. the software is free the rest is trivial.

  • naaa-na-na-naaaa^^ Our school is making one^^

  • Will be eventually available in stores for around $1000 like most similar toys. I'm getting one.

  • this is no toy my friend, alot of musicians are using it already. bjork,natilis,ect...

  • this sound take power from me.

  • awsome!!

  • Reac-table!

  • there are only 3 of this in the whole world including Bjork's one, the designer is trying to make this available in stores.

  • available in stores? this will probably retail at around 10 grand imo

  • we built one for about 50 bucks :)

pretty easy to make with basic software knowladge and programming..

all you need is a DV camera, projector, free software on their site and a table that meets the requirments ..

have some youtube videos of our first versions of it

  • where did you get a $50 projector? i made one for $150 once.

  • i want some where and how much please they look sooooooo cool

  • bjork actually had one in her concert at coachella

  • how much

  • I have two of these, they get old fast

  • is it possible to buy it somewhere ?

  • Everyone finds it really fascinating, but they have to hand it off to a musician who is going to demonstrate how you can make something other than electroacoustic music with it. They need a keyboard that you can attach to it, for programming arpeggios or whatever? and a visual sequencer for percussion. THAT would be awesome.

  • it looks to me like the computer cannot keep up. the graphics is jacked, slowed down sometimes. but the sound seems to keep up.

  • Wow that was cool, are you going to do any more?

  • Where's it at?

  • How much is that in euro's ??

  • This is amazing

  • Superb! How did you do it?

  • I didn't actually do it myself, I was just observing it and had to shoot some video.

  • fuck shooting the video i would of shot them and stoll it

  • man..its cool..but..give me beats bro..

  • Yiah, dawg... I know you dig them phat beats, yo.

    Lol.

  • yo bro where can i get those beats yo?

  • bei deina mudda, yo
