The reason you dont understand is because you have never lived in a free country. You have been numbed by time. If you are not from America you will just never understand why we love God, and our country.
I pray that one day you will feel the freedom we have, or should I say Had. To many people are asleep in this country and are just handing it over to Socialism.
I can sympathize with the plight, but I don't get it...
Being from Canada, a socialized nation under God, we don't seem to have a fraction of the troubles you do down there. We still have free health care (To a degree) and many other subsidized services that we Canadians can freely utilize.
We also have Capitilism, but it's heavily regulated (Which it should be!!) So that all the greed at others expense can be rooted out.
But your form of Capitilsm has ruined your economy. What gives???
Capitalism regulates itself. Each person's regard for their own interest will lead them to act in the public good because they want the customers. The most important thing to remember about Capitalism is that no exchange takes place unless both parties benefit. That is freedom.
In true Capitalism, the only things that are restricted by government are illegal force and fraud (i.e. violating someone else's equal rights). America hasn't had that for nearly 100 years. When we did, this country flourished like no other in history.
Now, the government heavily regulates our economy and is constantly putting us more into debt with out of control spending, all the while taxing us into oblivion. That is what gives.
It was government interference that ruined our economy. Corruption in Congress and short term political decisions interfered with proper risk management.
