  • Could have been worse, but I had time to react and was able to land pretty well. If I had been in the saddle, I would probably have remained upright. Note to others - do not let go of the handlebar that snaps - it will swing into your front wheel and take you down...

  • Woooooooah! Glad he's OK, anything in front and that could've been nasty. I had a similar incident to this once, going down an hill and handlebar went, flew head first into an empty junction.

  • What caused that fall? Hard to see from that angle?

  • "Handlebar snapped in half"

  • @NWLondonerCyclist First a man whole cover, he managed to hold it but then the handle bar snapped in half.

  • @gaz545 Nasty. I hope they are ok

  • That looked sore and potentially very serious. All OK?

  • A bit or road rash on the legs and sore wrists. nothing to serious but i'm sure he will be feeling the pain over the next few days.

  • @finbat potentially serious... he only fell if his bike.

  • Don't get a job where you have to do risk assessment!

  • You can't type in addresses on YouTube so type "Mountain bike crash court case - importer loses appeal" into Google and you will get there.

  • v. interesting read, thanks

  • @gaz545 shouldn't he be wearing a helmet ?

  • @TheDillon1987 It's a sensible idea but it isn't a legal requirement.

  • Was that the handlebars snapping - lots of case law relating to this.
