@bruin: buy the core i7. It has more cores then the core i5. The i7 will perform better with fsx then the i5.

@extremepilot07 your wrong bro they both have 4 phisical cores the difference is the i7 support triple channel mem the i5 dual and i7 hyperthreading so 4cores and 4 virtual so 8threades total but some i5's are dual core with hyperthreading

Yes it would run. But you would need a little stronger graphic card to get better scenary and other graphic qualities.

I'm trying to get a new computer. The one with the i5 is 400$ cheaper with higher core speed. So, I'm not sure which one I should go with.

thanks, i love the gtx 295 actually, and i usually get around 40 fps in a dense scenery. in a non dense, like st marteen, i got to like 100 fps.

the older cards work better for FSX becuase FSX depends on 90% CPU and 10% GPU. A top-end raphics card isn't as important for FSX as a good CPU is.
