what i did is i put some tape on the wires so they did not tuch then i put the l e d even farther in to the highlighter so it glows even more i the highlighter

Hey there. Great little invention. I bought the supplies from the dollar store and the window alarm is the same one. When I take it apart and attach the led to the wires it will not light up. If I touch it to the batteries it's fine. It seems like the power is not getting through the circut board. Any thoughts?
is there a switch on the side? I know that sounds dumb but some don't have an on off switch and they drain realy fast other than that I would try another alarm make sure you remove the wires from the speaker that sometimes drains the power too hope that helps.
hey i bought all the stuff... except i couldnt find any led's so im trying to use like christmas lights and a light out of a small flashlight and its not working.... whats wrong?
No the standard mini christmas lights are only 1.5volts so they would burn out really quick it has to be an LED only. you can find leds in any cheap light up toy or just go to the dollar store and find a dollar led flashlight and take them out you can't use a flashlight bulb even though it says 4.5v they will drain your batteries in a heartbeat just use an LED.
