i'm 31 and i heard him and all his bands ..since 1990 ....truly you have haste 34 years.... the man is a genius,a prodigy if you like.... and grinderman ...i saw him in Athens ...he rules....no one like Nick...sorry mate....
One of the few timae i didnt see the bad seeds in the 90`s, and Johnny Cash was playing the same festival. Am i wrong to beleive Dylan was there as well?
Well, I have not yet got over seeing this man for the first time ever on the BBC Glastonbury coverage! Quite simply - he is AMAZING! How come I never heard of him before? I am completely hooked!
everytime I see a live video of Nick, I wonder what people that haven't heard or even now of Nick Cave would think of him if they were there at the concert just watching.
wierd, i wonder the same thing, i think they'd say he sucks, it's one of those things you have to learn to apreciate, and once you do you wonder how you ever loved any other music :D
murder ballads, dig lazarus dig and greatest hits are good starting points - i got stuck in the blur crowd cos i was in a mobility scooter right down the front.....this was worth missing the prodigy for, wish i felt as open to blur but they simply didnt have it after a gig by these guys when youve been into em for, shit! 20 years!
Enjoy, and then Tom Waits - take advice on where to start and of course leonard cohen - your musical taste buds are about to turn on properly! :-)
thanks haha you know i missed blur in the end because the crowds were ridiculous at the front. So i left and ran off to see echo & the bunnymen instead!

I am 34 and only really heard of him in the last few months. I consider those 34 years a waste. My life starts now. :)
