You are VERY talented. I've had this kit forever and never opened it up because I wasn't quite sure. Will the Smashbox jet set liner do as well as the Max Factor? Thanks for your videos. BTW, you look amazing!!!
Hi, I like this tutorial. I just bought the smokey V eyes tutorial from BE. I can't figure out how to use the V shaped brush. DO you have this tutorial and if so can you give me some tips?
If you want to wear wet liner from bare minerals, instead of using the water or the eye liner water you can purchase from the website/store, use the primer. Mix the primer with the shadow/liner color and then apply. It will stay on longer and it will look awesome. I work for the company and that's what we suggest
I like how those colors look and I would definitely get them for the smoky effect, but have you ever tried Bare Escentuals Smoky Eye tutorial? Because I see people using B.E. Rocker Eye for smoky look but not the actual smoky eyeshadows that come with Bare Escentuals smoky eye tutorial!
Thanks! I use Bare Esecentuals Prime Time for Eyes. You can get it at any Bare Escentuls Store or Sephora, or either of them's websites. Urban Decay has one called Primer Potion, and while it is very popular, the packaging, is not. Also, I've had Too Faced's Shadow Insurance is good too. You can get the last two, at Sephora, as well. HTH!
the 'foiling' technique is when you put a color on your lid dry and then you go back and put the same color on top wet. I think you just did a smokey effect.
Actually you can just put the color on wet to begin with, no need to apply dry and then wet. I did do this, however, I don't think it's necessary to show it every time, so therefore you don't see the process of how I do it. There's different ways to "foil" and everyone's entitled to do the best way that works for them. You can see how I do mine in the Destination: Key West Video, about 3 minutes in.
You're so very welcome! I knew someone had requested it, and I forgot to mention your name, I'm so sorry!!! I hope you have luck with it and if you need help, just ask!
I've been practicing and I feel a little better with it, but I'm having a lot of issues with using the liner wet. I think I'm going to skip that from now on and just use my Urban Decay 24/7 pencil. Although you and a few other beauty bloggers are definitely making me consider these L'Oreal pots.
I really like them and I can even use my BE Soft Focus liner brush and that makes them a lot easier to apply than a tipped brush like the reg. eyeliner brush. They take a bit of practice, just like wetlining. Make sure when mixing the wetlining, it's not too watery, if so, let it sit a dry out a little bit, otherwise it's a pain to use and dries weird!
Thanks for the video! I learn by seeing and you did an excellent job!
