  • My boyfriend got a ukulele about 8 months ago, around the time of my car accident, and loves it. He has now i believe 10 ukuleles, and banjoleles (spelt wrong i know). He has tried to get me to learn it for a while now and finally tried it, and love it. He found this video a couple weeks ago and showed it to me. Happiest girl in the world. Love my ukulele baby :D Getting married when we are done with our Master's degrees :D

  • @ditzylulu

  • Just grab your hat, we'll travel light, that's hobo style!

  • @Cowbot

until tomorrow, I'll just keep movin' on.

  • That song is from "Once Upon a Time in The West".. right? My favorite movie ever!

  • @JokoLondo

    Right-o! I agree; it's an excellent film.

  • *lightbulb* I'm on it!!

  • Love it. I married me a guitar player.

  • haaayyyyy me too! well not married yet, but soon!

  • @weesamin

    Awesome!

  • I love this great drawings and advice.

  • Super Great! :°)

  • @Little6ster

    thanks!

  • Ha! Alas, I found the ukulele after finding my soul mate... but he plays guitar and sings, so that's good enough for me! (I've tried to interest him in bigger ukes... maybe he'll warm up to the idea.)

What advice would you give someone wanting a uke loud enough to jam with guitars and multiple voices??

  • Maybe if he tries a baritone he'll be sold. A guitar-playing friend of mine went from baritone to soprano in no time. I don't know if he even plays guitar anymore.

I suggest a pick-up and an amp to compete, if it's really that bad!

  • @Mctrmt - thanks! What pick-up(s) would you suggest?

  • I've got a Dean Markley, which sticks on my uke and isn't bad; I've heard good things about Mi-Si under saddle pick-ups- but I'm really not that knowledgeable. You should go to a forum like Ukulele Underground or Flea Market Music and ask around- you could probably get some good advice there.

  • Really awesome video. thx. Im rearching:P

  • I love going through my favourites- this is stil awesome, and I'm still working on it (the advice that is !!! ) lol

  • the littlest hobo!!!! until tomoro ill jus keep movin on hehehe

  • lol- the smaller, the better.

  • wow.. love the art... i did not find someone who loved the uke as much as me.. but i did find a girl from hawaii to play uke for..

  • I'm sure she loves it!

  • This video is awesome :) Greatest plan ever :)

  • It's worked for me so far!

  • Yeah..... You are right, I do need to marry a ukulele playing girl.

Nothing speaks more humbly and pure than a ukulele playing woman.

    Good advice.

    I'm n

  • I've heard we're not that easy to find; good luck!

  • Ugh! My girl hates when I play. I wish you had this advice 2 years ago.:(

  • That is tragic!!

  • i absolutely loved this! i really like animated videos like this, makes me want to make one.

  • Thanks, JenJen. This style of "animation" could not be easier- Do it!

  • that is so awesome!

    So...

  • adorable! just added it to my faves....

  • woot! thanks!

  • I just noticed your Littlest Hobo reference! LOL!

  • I should try to put Littlest Hobo references in more videos.

  • Neat!

I sure wish I could have found someone who loved uke as much as me back when i still lived in Canada. No such luck...... Now in China, even harder!

  • Thank you, sir!

  • adorable. :) i love this

  • Once upon a time in west + uke + whistle = awsomeness

  • Never trust a man who can't trust his own pants.

  • excellent!

  • Okay, I'm subscribing because of this video! The "do not want" reference is a hoot! :)

I had one uke before I was married and then got the UAS bug after that. My wife didn't know what hit her...She's still in the denial phase.

  • When my husband and I first met, neither of us knew the other played the ukulele. Now he has UAS and I, as Dr. Phil would say, am an enabler.

  • WOw thats great! I really want to take your advice!

  • :) That was cute and well done :)

  • Hahaha! that's fantastic advice!

The only problem is that I am already married when I got bit by the Fleas-not-want. She refuses to let me buy more than the four ukulele's I have. :(

I'll just have to put it out there for my next life.

  • Cute!
