  • This is sweet! Love it!

  • i jack to this

  • wow awesome tone! :-O

  • i just got the same guitar,

but you changed the neck pick up?

  • Very impressive. I just did the same cover too, but falls short of yours by heaps lol

  • Is this solo easier than looks? It looks and sounds very easy. Great job btw, very nice tone.

  • @movienoc101 It's not difficult from a technical standpoint. The hard part is getting the bends just right...it sounds very ugly and goofy if you bend too slow, too fast, too far, not far enough, etc. ;) This video isn't perfect, but at the time in 2008, it was the best I could do.

  • Wow, i got this exact same tone (-delay) on my November rain video with Ultra Swede and stock pickups. Hagstroms ftw!

  • I'll say the same thing as I said on your Sweet Child O' Mine video, it should have more views than this :) +5

  • i could fall asleep to that :D

  • your quitar voice is really really fantastic~

  • awesome! i love duncan pickups too!

  • Sounds rly good and I like your guitar ;-)

Check out my videos (with my Hagstrom Swede) please.

  • great tone!

  • wow men it`s the same sound ! amazing cover dude !

  • wow dude! nice job!!!

  • Great playing and tone!

  • PERFECT

  • wow this sound really good dude!!good job

    check my versoin :)

  • nice!!!

what is the color of this hagstrom?

  • wow! great tone and very nice playing!

    good work dude

    i love this song ^^

  • nice

  • nice tone man!

  • Great playing, nice bends, Haggys are built for bends aren't they!!!

  • Word! Hagstroms are so smooth to play (and bend). I just need to upgrade the tuners because the thing doesn't like to stay in tune. ;)

  • I have an Ultra Swede that I put a set of pickups out of a Hag Deluxe F. Great sound. My tuners are fine, I over lap the through hole string fist to lock it and wind a couple more. I also pull and stretch the hell out of em, and retune a few times. What would you use for differnet tuners?

  • I have the ultra swede too, in black. it's not the best color, but it's the only one they had in stock, and it was WAY worth the 500$

  • @OneLoveJK wow, really my super swede never comes out of tune

  • this ultimatley proves that u DONT need a gibson/epiphone les paul to get a perfect "slash sound". i mean yea the pickups but who cares. nice cover dude

  • You better be in a band. Or this talent is going to remain were it is, and you need to make something big of your self ; ) Awesome Guitar player

  • Really good. Well done!! Any chance to see you playing something by Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler?? =)

  • What kind of seymour duncans do you have in the Hagstrom?

  • The neck pickup is the '59 one, and the bridge pickup is a custom 14, I believe. Might have to double check...

  • Duuude you rocked it out!! This is one of my top 5 guitar solos EVER! Keep 'em coming man.

  • can u post i lesson please

  • Awesome tone, you really know how to play

  • great tone!

  • hey that was awesome!!!!

how are you recording it, i have my toneport but cant find a suffieniant recording program!! live 7 is wank!

  • I recorded into a separate program, Acid Pro. I don't think toneport comes with its own recording software dude. There are a lot of better programs, but that's just what I happened to have.

  • hey how do u like the select ultra swede? im looking at it but i cant find anything bout' it

  • yo good job tocas arrechisimo sigue asi

  • muy bueno i love you jajaja

  • How is the sustains on this guitar? Does it ring out as much as a Les Paul with thicker body?

  • really good, much better than me i need more works

  • that has to be one of the best guitar solos in the world and u did a great job check out my vids and sub if u like them

  • damn this is the best video cover i ever saw for the november rain solo, fyi i have been browsing on this november rain vids juz too look for a near perfect cover, but guess what, i've found it

  • i love slash's solos, aswell as the gearbox effect "slash lead 1", thanks for uploading this awesome video! :D

  • agreed. shame u cant sing. or have a head. dam shame

  • Hey, you are exelent guitarrista....

Sorry-me, I' don't speak english, i'm brazilian and i see the video and love her!!!

    You Rock

  • excellent work, you're a top notch guitarist ;)

  • did the guitar come with the seymour duncans pickups? amazing playing btw

  • Yea it did. It's an option on these, but it's normally kind of an expensive upgrade. I got a hook up on it because the seller screwed up my order at first.

  • out of every video i saw on here..ur the best & you rock ....

  • Wow, thanks man...wayy too kind. =)

  • Oh man that was good. The tone was smooth, the playing was smooth and that was pretty much perfect.

I dunno if you still want tips on vibrato but George Lynch has very good vibrato, look for Shred Durst Taste The Bizkit. Good vibrato tips there.

  • Thanks man. Yea, I'm not too happy with my guitar vibrato, so anything that can help is appreciated!

  • You should try a wider vibrato :)

  • u rock!

  • The tone is almost identical.. if not identical. Great playing dude. If you want to improve your vibratto look for a vibratto lesson in youtube from a site called dolphinstreet. It really helped me out and he has great stuff there. I am not that guy if you think so LOL just a fan of his site.

  • thanks man =) it's really hard to break 10+ years of violin vibrato (which is almost the opposite of guitar vibrato)!

  • Then hope that video lesson will help you as it did with me.

  • Is that colour Indian Summer or something else.

I can't find a pic of that finish anywhere, but if it matches yours I like it enough to order it?

How is the action on that guitar? Are they really fast as they claim?

Your playing is great btw, your other clip as well. Keep it up!

  • Hey bro, yea this is the "Indian Summer" color. Looks almost like heritage cherry sunburst.

The action is amazing on this guitar, and the fretboard is as smooth as glass. You won't get as deep and rich a tone as you would on a Gibson Les Paul, but this guitar has a tone of its own. Playability wise, this guitar is perfect (after slight tweaking and minor setup, as with all guitars).

  • can you share us the tone of gearbox?

  • the setting is from the online library, i believe. it's called "slash lead 1."

  • WOW!! That was awesome! Good job!

  • dude i watched alot of your videos

its like we have the exact same taste in music

hhaa keep up the great work man

  • thanks bro, you must have great taste in music ;)

  • 5 stars.. do you advice me to buy a line 6 toneport?

  • For about 50 bucks, you can't go wrong. It's great for recording, but is also a useful practice tool (playing along with backing tracks, half-speed option, etc). If you want to record, though, you will need separate software, such as garageband or protools. I use something called acid pro.

  • Hey man, i have that Toneport Gx, is that one with the Slash Solo tone? Just wondering. And once again, great playing sounds awesome!

  • Thanks man, and yea, I think the setting is called "Slash Lead 1" or something.

  • So what setup are you using for this, amps & pedals?

  • All I'm using is the guitar and the Line 6 Toneport (and the software it came with). You can choose different tones, this tone is called "Slash Solo 1" or something like that.

  • How is this guitar compares to the Gibson Studio? Is it true that it´s neck is thinner than Studio?

  • The neck is a bit flatter (thinner?) than the Studio, which was more round. Both necks were great, but for my hands, this Hagstrom neck feels pretty much perfect.

Tonewise, hard to compare, because I think it really comes down to pickups. The Hagstrom with the Seymour Duncans sound better than the stock Studio (with the 490/498), but the Alnico II pro in the Studio sounded really rich and warm...definitely better than stock.

  • Pretty good man! Classic Slash solo! Hey you got the tabs for this?

  • Which SD are they?

Im planing to purchase one of those beautiful select ultra swede with a pair of SH-4/SH-2.

  • Pardon me... I missed the last comment.

  • nice yr guitar ,I want the same!(with seymour duncans Alnico 2 pro lol)

  • this guitar would definitely sound sweet with alnico 2 pros for guns n' roses stuff! but i'm leaving the 59 and sh-14 custom because it's a little more versatile, can kind of do metal, etc...
