im pretty sure it needs pixle shader 4.0 or higher to play

the 8600 will play it smootly on a lower resolution, my x1950gt plays it at around 25fps at 1650x1050. the 8600gt has shader model 4 but no games require that now. black and white 2 doesn't support shader model 3 anyway. as for rainbow 6 vegas you will probably be best off buying a better card.
