Excellent. I like the video length and mixture of pics/vids, not that I know anything about video editing. My trip (6000miles in NZ and US) resulted in a boring slide show of pictures! Judging your "conditioning" from the donkey feeding scene, you ought to try out for pro cycling - top shape! Maybe that's why you carried so much gear! Great stuff.
Hi my name is Diego Gonzalez. I bike frequently and have gone bike touring only once. I really enjoy being on bike. Anybody interested to form groups to go bike touring anywhere like in the summer when its break. send me a message at diegospeedy7@yahoo.com .
NICOLAI CONGRATULATIONS, WE NEED PEOPLE LIKE YOU IN THIS COUNTRY ! ..you are welcome always the crossing that you did is amazing !! heyy greetings from buenos aires, argentina !!
The spirit of human adventure is alive and well. Thanks for a truly inspirational and uplifting video. It has given me more 'crazy' ideas for that long distance cycle trip.....at 51.
There is a dream in all of us but you have lived yours, Nicolai.
@Zircon96 I'm in the same boat...planning on going into Latin America this spring. No particular destination other than south and no time constraints...
Amazing, really inspirational. Me and three of my friends have set ourselves the challenge of cycling from London 2 Istanbul. Im currently sending this message from Brussels. Loving the videos, I look forward to see more of your epic adventures. Iv got a couple of videos from, our trip so far if ya up for peddling over to my channel.
Me and my friend are going on a fantastic journey soon to see the sights around the world and go around all the world on a bike at 18 years old. Strait up from england.
Inspiring! I am currently living in Slovakia, and was wondering if I can ride to Asia. I think you just answered my question. Time to start planning. Thank you, and rock on!
amigo exelente video, te esperamos por argentina cuando quieras volver, con asado y fernet jaja, contactanos, estamos a tu disposicion, con casa y comida!!. desde Rosario, Santa fe, Argentina , un abrazo y muchos exitos!!!
@currishev - life shouldnt be a trip to the graveyard with a well preserved body and a simple yet boring life , you should rather skid in sideways covered in scars, screaming yahooo! what a ride ;D PS: you are the biggest downbuzz on earth
I'm talking about purpose, reason, and moderation. We all die eventually. But why to expedite the process w/out any contribution to culture, art or science. In such a bicycle rally you can't use brain for creative work. There is optimum in brain stimulating physical activity, not maximum. I wish I am wrong in this particular case.
Now that's an awesome mission, you may not want to go on such a mission without a friend. next time let me know, I ride motorcycles but I will wheelie around the world with you!! and pull you up some of those big hills, shit my legs would have given out!! Peace Nicolai
How much money i need to travel aorund the world?... $30,000 maybe? for five years? what kind of bike i need to travel?... a aluminium mountain bike? or pure MTB iron?
Using your body doesn't wear it out. Not using it wears it out.
The same for your life. Better to get out there and use it up, otherwise it's just wasted.
Youth exists exactly for craziness. Better to be crippled at 40 and know you've lived a your dream, than walk the same tired street for 90 years then die full of regret.
Roll on, Nicolai, and thank you for letting us roll with you!
nicolai wow my friend what an epic, although id love to do this i cannot even come close to imaginin the epic sized inner strength you have shown on this trip, travel in peace brother :)
@currishev you are a fucking idiot. i cant even believe you would taint the awesomeness of this dude's expedition with your douchebag comment. it s ppl like you who make me sick. the ones who plan for the years so far ahead that arent even promised whatsoever. go nicolai
@currishev I think he is really right honestly. I quit dirtjumping and freeriding because of my back aches, knee aches, etc. and I practiced it for just 5 years. We all should use our bodies that is no doubt correct, but we should use them in perfect harmony with our minds, and with our intelligence. What you did is wonderful, but I think you are going to feel those years on bike when you will age .
@currishev oh ....peopples like u ..must not exist.... u only hear bad news in tv...u are a television ...U ARE THE TELEVISION !!!!!! i dont have one.....i want to be free..my mind is free...nobody is gonna wash ma brain ....so please SHUT UP UR MOUTH !!!!!!!!!!!
Great Video,it is something I would like to do someday. Pondering on a possible European Cycle Ride next Year but no way as difficult as yours has been.
Great video Nicolai. 1:16 I love that shot in Santiago.
One question: Weren't you worried about the para-military groups (FARC) in Colombia? They are known to kidnap people in rebel controlled areas. They even captured senator Ingrid Betancourt.
it dangerous on ur own, those people wood take the skin off the top of the head 4 u b carefull
