I lived in canada for three years for college, when i got sick i had to wait two weeks before i could see a doctor. It was horrible. Canadas doctors are paid horribly and the service and cleanliness there in the hospitals are terrible.

Mr. Alphacat, it's not democracy that gives you those rights; it's the constitution (which was an attempt to place limitations upon democracy). America started out as what is called a "constitutional republic" or "limited democracy". The constitution was an attempt to prevent your fellow man from voting away your rights and property (which is what always happens in a democracy). Sadly, that's exactly what has happened since people no longer believe in natural rights/the constitution.
The rights protected by the constitution were not seen as being granted as privileges by the government. Rather, they were considered "natural" aspects of our human nature and existed prior to government. Thus, the constitution was intended to protect our rights from the political process (government/democracy). Democracy is just mob rule. To use an extreme example, a gang rape is not justifiable simply because the victim is outnumbered (as are any minority in a democracy).

you proved my point. Karl Marx and che Gueverra were both leftists. Obama's Father figure and mentor while he was in Hawaii was Frank Davis...A member of the communist Party. Obamas Mother was heavily involved in communist groups. Obama spent alot of his time in college attending socialist conferences and choosing marxist professors for his education. Obama is not compatible with the United states constitution.

Any type of socialism is suppressive because it bases itself off of suppressing and limiting the freedoms and rights of some so that others can become regulated under the federal government. Any type of socialism relies on stifling some freedoms. So any steps toward evil will bring more steps to greater evil. Socialism relies on theft and theft is evil.

because universal healthcare is stealing from one man to give to another. Universal healthcare forces me to pay for some other guys healthcare...its called theft. And universal healthcare deteriorates te quality of healthcare.

it doesn't have to deteriorate the quality of healthcare if it's done the right way. and since so many people don't even HAVE healthcare and so many people that do aren't being treated right, i think it's probably a good time to go in a different direction. and it's not stealing because healthcare is a right that everybody should have and what you pay is going to benefit you in the end anyway.

where in the constitution does it say that healthcare is a right? A right is something that does not take from someone else. All our constitutional rights do not involve taking from someone else. What if I don't want health insurance? The government will still steal money from me to pay for someone else...that is theft. Is the government going to force me to pay them to live? make someone else money? Every country where universal healthcare exists, the healthcare is shoddy.

also..i make 60,000 a year. I will be forced to pay for some guy who only makes 10,000 a year because he is not going to have to pay anything in the healthcare system. It is socialism and it is theft. Ive been all over europe and canada and the healthcare there is nowhere near what it is in the USA. Universal socialist healthcare stifles medical advances and gets rid of desire to compete. Health insurance now is expensive because of government red tape and lawyers suing. Cap the medical suits.

I lived in canada for three years for college, when i got sick i had to wait two weeks before i could see a doctor. It was horrible. Canadas doctors are paid horribly and the service and cleanliness there in the hospitals are terrible.

so our founding fathers were jesus freaks? Federalist #46 by james madison clearly explains that "we the people" are the well regulated militia. The second amendment was specifically meant so the american people had the safeguard from the government taking away all our other rights. You think that voting is always going to save your ass? A huge ass gun? An ak47 fires a 7.62x39mm round. The ak47 round is similar to a lever action 30-30 cowboy rifle. Most hunting rifles that fire .308, 30-06, 8mm, 7.62x54mm and .300 mag are much more deadly, bigger and powerful than an ak47 or m16. I don't understand why you have a problem with people wanting to uphold their constitutional rights of defense and keeping the federal government in check? If you are scared of guns, then don't own any. Don't force your anti gun views on us.

The issue here, of course, is that John McCain claimed great umbrage at Barack Obama's lighthearted comment that Bush and McCain would emphasize that "he doesn't look like all those other presidents on the dollar bills."
But if John McCain thinks that comment was playing the race card, then why did he play it first? One month ago -- in late June -- a McCain ad superimposed Obama's visage on a one hundred dollar bill as part of an effort to mock his supposed 'presumptuousness.'

Mr. Alphacat, it's not democracy that gives you those rights; it's the constitution (which was an attempt to place limitations upon democracy). America started out as what is called a "constitutional republic" or "limited democracy". The constitution was an attempt to prevent your fellow man from voting away your rights and property (which is what always happens in a democracy). Sadly, that's exactly what has happened since people no longer believe in natural rights/the constitution.

The rights protected by the constitution were not seen as being granted as privileges by the government. Rather, they were considered "natural" aspects of our human nature and existed prior to government. Thus, the constitution was intended to protect our rights from the political process (government/democracy). Democracy is just mob rule. To use an extreme example, a gang rape is not justifiable simply because the victim is outnumbered (as are any minority in a democracy).
