It sounds like the people are the reasons for the kittens dieing. They tried to prevent them from drowning didn't think things through and never checked on them.

That is so sweet! I volunteer for the SPCA, and there was a cat who lost her kittens before they were even born. So they took a kitten and put him with her, and she cuddles him and washed him and nursed him like he was her own. When they would sleep, she would have her paw around him and everything.

I still feel bad for the litter she lost. They shouldn't have put them in a shed when it was flooding.

we were surprised that one day he's suddenly carrying those kitties one by into in to our house and treated them as if it's his kitties:))

My cat did the same thing for the kittens of our other cat. She was pregnant, but my parents didn't believe me when I told them and had her spayed anyway. Consequently, the vet had to cut out her womb. So afterwards, she started nursing the kittens that our other cat had just had. Actually, the cat who had had a litter was our other cat's mother, so she was in fact nursing her sisters and brothers... God I miss my cats :(
