I am at Ch. 6 of the game--it's excellent. This animated series is just as creepy, if not moreso. I like how it comments so strongly on the dangers of man's tendency towards delusional, irrational beliefs--a fitting comment on religion in general.

I just finished the game, and watched the movie, and decided to check these out too...I gotta say, this Bram guy and his wife are by far the most interesting characters in the whole series so far. I would have loved to have played through this part in the game. Bram is awesome.

The crew in the movie pissed me off, they were idiots, but Bram and Marla were pretty fucking beast...

How did it not make sense, exactly? The only part I found to not make sense is the part about the Necromorphs not being able to come close to the Marker, and even that isn't completely false seeing as how in the game you never really see any of the Necromorphs on or within a few feet of the Marker

That's one of the most interesting parts I've discovered. After playing through Dead Space you can check the Audio and Text Logs of Chapter 12. Here's an extract:

"As it turns out, the field generated by the marker creates a "dead space" around itself that forces recombination into dormancy."

I read that just today and got a completely new understanding of the title "Dead Space" :P

I've been playing the game...I'm on Chapter 9. This shit, is messed up lol. Everything so far, is fucked up....not gonna say more to the people who haven't played. =P Here's a few things to hardcore players:

#1, Don't chicken out on the hardest difficulty.

#2 Don't waste Your ammo, this isn't another game where everything is easy.

#3, You will be scared.

#4, You will die. Even on easy.

#5, Don't go for the head. It won't work.

#6, Stay close to the walls.

#7, Enjoy Hell.

Dead space does not have anything in it that hasn`t been done before, so it`s a zero on the originality score.

BUT, it gets top score on the scare factor. Never before have I felt like a nerve wreck while playing a game ^^ I would say it really is worth the money :)

i've watched downfall (the movie/cartoon) and this and that doesn't really swin togheter. in the comic the find the rock and everyone dies. in downfall they find the rock and it is taken away by the ship when/while people starts dying on the colony and then get onboard the ship and then the same story... so. downfall and the comic doesnt really go well togheter. its like downfall starts at the same place as the comic and just pass over issue 2-6 and then just does alien hunting on the ship.

Isaac's mind is a mess it he returns the marker his mind will be made be "whole" since he will no longer hallucinate. Thats essentially what Nicole tries to tell Isaac the whole time. As for the lady thats tougher. My guess is she says that cuz she'll cross over to other side. Remember Unitologists believe death is divine and that the marker will bring them to a new life
