I use PS 5 and have all the Topaz plugins. Unfortunately, ReMask 3 falls very short on been a good plugin for extracting. I went back to doing the extracting with PS 5. Money not well spent.
Of course I had to copy some of the instructions from the manual. I just printed out the parts that I really needed, plus, I have viewed the video about 3 times. This way, I saw things that I missed the first time.
I don't feel that I would really need the full Photoshop, even if I wanted to spend that much money to get it. Elements 9 have new things in it. I'm really happy about the mask that it got from the full Photoshop. No more work around.
Ummm Ubbrd... what makes you think Element users outnumber the Photoshop CS users? Photoshop is an industry standard and been around MUCH longer than Elements and that is why it gets the focus first since Elements was meant for the hobbyist.
Good question Mllw55. I use Photoshop Elements 8 & I don't know how to get 2 different pictures in layers either.
Perhaps the Topaz people could make a video for us Elements users.
It is interesting to note that I'm reliably informed that Photoshop Elements users vastly outnumber the Photoshop CS users, probably due to the cost of CS & the fact that most photographers don't need a lot of the extras found in CS.
Question about this please. I am not very good at PS and would like to know how to get two different pictures (dog and flowers) up as different layers in PS. I can't seem to do that. Thank you
Open the flower picture first, and then open the dog pic. Now before u do masking you want to drag the dog window on top of the flower window....so the 2 pictures R now one.
All you do is either use the move tool the first one on top of the toolbar or hold down the Ctrl key on key board. Now click the title bar of the dog pic to make it active and then drag the dog picture on top of the flower picture. PS is amazing and Topaz remask 3 filter very good. Good luck.
Very nice, thorough tutorial. Best I've come across for ReMask 3 so far.
