  • beautiful game :)

  • The MuayThai is Tony Jaa: D

  • yes, he has almost everything a capoeirista tem.Só not have the discipline.

  • Ong bok

  • 2.53-2.55 For your information, it was the accident. His arm broke. they have to change the actor and make the fight finish quickly.

  • che me re copiaste ademas tu ediccion es mala

  • Now that everone finally hates that song how about you redo it to breakdancing 2 electric boogaloo?

  • Its Muay Boran, and its the sickest fight ever!

  • ESSE CAPOEIRA É UM DOS MELHORES NO CINEMA AMERICANO...

MOSTRA QUE MAIS UMA VEA A ARTE DOS AFRICANOS TEVE VEZ NAS TELAS DOS CINEMAS E PRODUCOES NORTE AMERICANAS.

    CONGRATULATIONS BRZIL CAPOEIRA!

    SALVE MR BIMBA

  • ESSE CAPOEIRA É UM DOS MELHORES NO CINEMA AMERICANO...

MOSTRA QUE MAIS UMA VEA A ARTE DOS AFRICANOS TEVE VEZ NAS TELAS DOS CINEMAS E PRODUCOES NORTE AMERICANAS.

    CONGRATULATIONS BRZIL CAPOEIRA!

  • Eddie vs Law

  • i respect all martial arts but i think while capoeira should be kept alive for traditions sake and while some technuiqes can be effective (like some of the get up kicks) most of it is a waste of energy all the danceing and jumping around would gas you so hard muay thai has a very no nonsense approach to strikeing you have 8 weapons and you use them to beat the piss out of someone no more no less

  • @DangerasTM But don't you think all the movement in capoeira gives a certain advantage in confusing and intimidating the opponent? Plus when you are in a real fight and the adrenaline is kicking maybe you're not thinking so much about how tired you are. In some ironic way I think this motion could also be helpful in keeping your energy high.

  • @frugihoyi hey not only would you have to be in the peak of human condition to be able to do most of the shit they do in the mnovies but profesional fighters of any discipline (grapplers boxes MMA fighters) will telle you that after the intial adrenaline dump you just feel drained its importent to keep calm and collected and if you do have that rush beserker stryle you have to put em away fast other wise youll just drop dead like i said i dont think its completwely useless but alot of stuff is

  • notice that Muay Thai focuses on heavy elbows and knees attacks ! so cool

  • Muay Thai win beacause is a movie :|\

  • @Lariscapoeira lol and capoeira isnt a martial art xD is a cool show off dance xD u can see by the video no one would do that in a fight xD, its cool the jumps and that stuffs but not practic in a fight .

  • @Lariscapoeira But Capoeira is full of crap lol trust me , Muay Boran is even lethal than Muay Thai

  • @Shyuum But it depends so much on the capoeirista. I'm a beginner and I know what you mean with "full of crap." I see some advanced guys doing some stuff that looks amazing, but would pretty much be useless in a real fight. Lots and lots of wasted kicks when they are nowhere near the opponent, things like that.

But it's ok, it's also fun to show off and do aerial moves, etc. while you're training, I just think it's important to adapt your techniques to the situation and capoeira has many useful

  • @frugihoyi I respect all fighters, but capoiera shouldn't even be considered a martial art, just saying bro.

  • @Shyuum moves like rasteiras!

  • @Warp2567 read the description.....

  • epic movie,awesome video,5/5 :D!

  • can anyone tell me what movie this is???

  • @AnRkSt07 its a movie called "Tom Young Goong" in Thailand and its available in US and UK as "Protector". One of the best movies of Tony Jaa..Superb action and Muai Thai scenes!!!!

  • Baraka

  • OW ronaldinho plays capoeira?!?

  • @powertubemoves haha ya he does look like ronaldinho

  • @UZUMAKIPROchan he plays in Tekken: Movie

  • good film tony jaa is nice

  • nice video no no is nice is fantastic video are in favorites

  • la capoeira no vale ni para meneartela

  • Fantastic FIGHT and very good music

  • isso eh filme se n me engano Ong Bak 2 :)

  • it´s a princess fight mixed with rose flowers fight. very bloody...

  • this song is burnt out

  • His Fighting style looks like Eddie's from off of Tekken

  • @legomaster12345678 Exactly the same, its capoeira.. but man this guy was GREAT at that... hes moves was.. allmost imposible... he was moving unreal.. better than Eddie of Tekken and he is not even play station.. he is real!

  • make me miss Eddie from Tekken lol :) ty for putting it up

  • t'was a scenic choreography. But i don't think that's realistic. For example i don't understand why the earth you have wait for that your enemy complete his movements or kicks? Why the hell i have to kick at all cost when i can finish the fight by some punch?

    But: twas nice fight. scenic.

  • Martial Artists and philosophers can never figure out how to finish an argument ! You wanna really prepare for a fight ? Try sparring in your living room.....your footing is chaotic, elbow room differs when you move around, tricky figuring out how many steps till the couch swipes your leg, etc.......a real fight would be chaos, so train in chaos !

  • shouldnt it be bassed on the skill to adept and overcome your enemy its not the style but the fighter

  • @spartin420 lol true that

  • @spartin420 there you go that was a very smart comment you understand what it is to be a fighter.

  • i'm not sure who would have won....

i do capoeira and It's obvious that Lateef Crowder did so stupid mistakes at the end, so tony jaa could beat him....

  • Muay Thai Dominates all... enough said

    I do muay thai.. :D

  • massa

  • Tony Jaa- the 2nd Bruce Lee

  • I hope you don't mean that.

  • but that dude gets owned at the end haha

  • I do Capoeira and you don't need alot of room, if you do it good ;-)

    <3

  • more like Bruce vs. Eddy(Tekken-Capoeira vs. Muai Thai)

There are some pretty nice fights in that movie. Also the capoeira guy was in one of the Bourne Consp. movies.

  • really? wut one????

  • wut one???? guessing you're asking about the movie.

    Tony Jaa in "The Protector"

    also

Tony Jaa in "Ong~Bak The Thai Warrior"

as for the Bourne Consp...i'm pretty sure the last one. the fight scene inside the apartment building where he ends by choking w/a towel(?)

  • xD

    Eddy vs. Law from Tekken

  • the caopeira fighter will appear in the on-coming film of tekken *.*

  • wauu nice 5*

  • imagine pub fight with capo... geez, it's silly :D

  • lateef crowder you pegend

  • Capo looks and is much better!!

  • my freind thinks the exact same way that capo is the superior style but the cons are

1.you need a lot of room

    2. always valnurable when flipping

    3.their is no superior style

  • 4. Need excitement instead of boredom? Do this at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting!!!

  • stupid!

    1. you only need a lot of room if you are more a tricker than a capoeirsta. in the roda you have about 3 meters for 2 people...

    2. so? then don't flip!!!! flipping is just for fun.

    3. only thing that's right in your comment

  • capioera ftw

  • Muay Thai is not the only Martial Art that teaches elbow and knee strikes, nor did it invent it! Martial artists have been using their elbows and knees since the Shaolin Temple.

  • that was the best fight EVER !

  • The capo guy is lateef crowder and he's pretty awesome. Tony Jaa is a Muay Thai guy but has also done an ancient style of Muay Thai. He was also a stunt man and learnt alot of stuff by himself watching movies so could explain why he has such a mix of moves

  • WTF!!!! simply awesome =O

  • its the practioners not the style. theres an illusion though that muai thai is the mother of all fighting. make the fight a range fight and youll see a muay thai fighter take more hits then google. its because muay thai is a close range fighting system by using leg kicks to slow the opponent then using the clinch to literally knee your opponent to death that people think its the best. brawlers can be stopped mma hasnt come out with its best fighters yet. soon though... :D

  • Firs of all that was Capoeira, not BJJ -.-' BJJ is a submission way of fighting...

Second, I do MMA ( Muay Thai is my main martial art so as BJJ) and d00ds, that is not Muay Thai, there are some moves like the knee strikes and so that might look like but they're not. The asian guy was using a mixed fighting system so I'm guessing a Kung Fu derivation ... but not sure.

But there's no way that is Muay Thai

  • the brasilian guy doing Capoeira it is other brasillian fight more for black people and brasilian Jiu Jitsu for black and white people.

  • they look like demons

  • Movie - The protector with Tony jaa

  • what film is this?

  • Never back down was all right. At least it doesn't depict what I like to call WWE martial arts like you see here. I notice you had nothing to say about Once Were Warriors.

  • btw the brazillian or black guy*no offence* was doing brazilian Jiu jitsu

  • This one? Ummm no he isn't.

  • There is no striking in BJJ, this is obviously capoeira.

  • @dummyGamer Uhm. No. No no no. That was 100 percent capoeira. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is similar to regular Jiu Jitsu and is a grappling, ground fighting technique. More similar to wrestling and judo than it is to capoeira.

  • thats not right.that style have retruns a kick for a kick.lol. oh well thats the movies

  • if capoeria actully worked like that it would beeeee soooo deadly but alst it dosent u cant doedge every thing and axpexect hand stand kicks to work capoera is great to watch

but i queastion its usfullness in real fight i take itf tkd when he kicked i woudlve grabbed his leg broken it then knocked him out wit a kick or punch or an elbow even

  • Or you grabbed his leg and he broke ur hands.

  • that is not muay thai still for sure..

  • No, it's not Muay Thai, it's Muay Boran combined with Taekwondo. Tony Jaa mixes both styles.

  • oh ok

  • @44excalibur and break dancing wich is actually effective

  • @44excalibur you noticed that or you know that because i knew that by looking at him he does so good kicks actually.

  • @abomb10 Well, Muay Thai fighters don't fight like Tony Jaa, for one thing, Also, it's in Tony Jaa's bio that he trained in both Muay Boran and Taekwondo.

  • Is that the muay thai guy from Ong Bakh?

  • hisa name is tony jaa, he is very popular dioes demonstrations all over the world these days.

  • I am skeptical of the cinematic interpretation of Muay Thai. As for the moves shown here all that jumping explosive crap will wear you out anyway. As if it is possible to maintain that pace using those moves. Btw if you have never tried against equal opponents don't say it's fitness. Top athletes still gas.

  • A capoeirsta can do that 2 minute can with all the cartwheels, handstand, etc. and still have much stamina left to continue. But a smart capoeirsta wouldn't ginga or do the handstands in a real fight, probablt a very skilled one though. This is a movie first of all, so you can say it's crap becuase the MAIN character beat the bad guy in his OWN movie.

  • It is a movie so I guess we agree that the moves used in real life are different from cinema and cause fatigue faster. Watch some UFC to see fatigue kill. I think they both used look good moves over real techniques. I said Tony Jaa was crap anyway. Once were warriors or Never Back Down is my idea of a martial arts movie.

  • But we have never seen Lateef or Tony fight actually in real life so we can't say for sure if they are crap or not, all we can say is if they are talented or not and I think they both are. Lateef was doing Capoeira that you would do in a roda(no one would ever do handstand kicks in a real fight) and Tony has a mix of other styles(and very sure that no one would do a windmill in a real fight unless they are fighting a 1st grader), so go figure I guess. :/

  • Tony Jaa is crap and so is the other guy. You can keep minusing me and I can keep saying it. In this context (movie) they are crap. Tissue ladies? Go on, hit the thumbs down like it does something for you keyboard warriors, hahahahaha

  • Never Back Down was a shitty movie,

  • I know dude, that was the worst fight movie ever

  • It had some good moments but the funny thing is the white kid hated the richer white kid, corny stuff like my father died cuz of me, they should have made a realo underdog, like a poor guy like rocky, who fights for money. Then the friend gets beat up & his face is perfect. We all know if u get wooped like that your face bone structure will not b the same.

  • Lose that stupid whispering cr*p. It's not original; it's precious and contrived.

  • i wonder wat i would do if i saw a crazed black man with "pray" carved on his freakin chest

  • erm...they're Lateef Crowder and Tony Jaa believe me neither of them are amateurs

  • what`s the name of the movie??

  • they're almost as good as me,but they both need a little more practice!

  • Muay thai is the most brutal martial art and its very deadly

  • capoeria is good but mui tai is very deadly because u use the hardest bones in your body like knees and elbows

  • ya i think that capoera was created by africans(not being rascist or anything)

like when they were chained by their hands they fought with their legs and stuff

  • lol..wow that does sound racist but it makes sense hahaha

  • nope, they practiced it in the form of dance to hide that it was a martial art.

Otherwise there masters would have became veeeery wary (with good reasons^^)

  • the protector is one of the greatest movies of all time

  • tahts the dude from never back down the dude who does al lthe flips and gfets pucnhed out

  • This is my 2nd favourite scene in Warrior King. 1st favourite is still the 4 minute fight scene in one take going up the spiral staircase. Good times

  • OMG!!!!!ronaldinho!!!!! lol

  • lol

i know dude he kinda looks like ronaldinho

  • to nie muay thai tylko tekwoondo

  • que grande es la capoeira!! =)

  • esw impocible usar la capoeira asi xD

  • hey look its the guy from teken.

  • Lateef Crowder looks like Ronaldinho. XD

  • lol....capoeira mando bem!!!!nice

muay thai tambem eh muito doidao

o brass pode faze o EDDY gordo do TEKKEN o filme

  • Thats not Muay Thai!

  • it's muay thai and muay boran mixed up !

  • Tony Jaa practices an ancient style of Muay Thai called Muay Boran.

It is descended from southern chinese kung fu and looks somewhat different from modern Muay Thai.

He also combines it with TKD.

  • I don't think Thais trace it back to China.

  • Of course they don't. I don't expect the Koreans to admit how much their styles are influenced by Northern Shaolin and Shotokan either, but that doesn't make it untrue.

  • the guy is such a pro at capoeira that imo if it wasnt a movie he would win over the muay thai guy

  • dude he is tony jaa , watch his vids on youtube

  • Lateef crowder is playing Eddy in the TEKKEN movie!

  • nice movie

  • ya i love the fights in th movie

  • A dance against a ruthless fighting style :)

    I wonder which would win

  • isso nao é Capoeira, é acrobacia!!!!

Capoeira vai muIto além de saltos mortais.

    JONATHAN VARGAS,BRAZIL...

  • i dont speak spanish

  • lol sorry

  • this is portuguese. lol.

  • hehe portugues huh

  • It didn't remind me Capoeira or Muay Thai. Both styles were shown here too flashy to realyty. But I know both Tony Jaa and Lateef crowder are real fighters.

  • then what did it remind you of?

  • Tricking.

  • i mean Capoeira is known as a flashy style nowadays, but it's wrong, casue only one particular type of game is flashy. Capoeiristas in real fight wouldn't do these useless things, but fastspinning kikcs, and misliding moves are the moves witch are looking cool, and has got great use in fights.

And Muay Thai. Watch a match of Muay Thai and you wont see no aireal kicks and sweeps and breakdancing on the floor and saltos.

  • It's called "Warrior King" in England, dunno about else where. Tony Jaa is amazing at muay thai.

  • It's called Tom Yum Goong in Thailand.

  • and the warrior in england

  • And it's the best movie ever!!

  • is that a movie? if is what movie name is? ^^

  • YA,THE MOVIES NAME IS "THE PROTECTOR"

  • no its real lol
