  • Such a racist show

  • Toms a batty boy

  • @Yazoo111 ahaahhah true dat

  • with all those fat fuckers on that boat i'm surprised it stayed afloat

  • Not as bad as Rainbow...

  • what's this PC b*******s - it wasn't like this in the 1970's

  • where are master Bates and Seaman Staines?....

  • @8778yeh That's what i was gonna ask too... the old ones the best as always...

  • i no the man who wrote the theme song for this its great xD

  • I remember the original series when i was a kid, early seventies, the characters didnt have rude names, seaman stains ect. BUT the sound track and voice overs have been changed on the old episodes--- I think to take out some non pc dialogue (shame), this is were all the urban miths have come from

  • Master Bates, Seaman Stains & Roger the cabin boy.... Yes I've done all three !!

  • Master Bates, Seaman Stains, Roger the Cabin Boy, Lieutenant Reach-around are all either completely fake characters who never existed, or wrong names of characters that did. The actual characters were Master Mate, and Tom the Cabin Boy.

  • yea, and where is master bates, and seman stains, how did they get away with that eh,, hahah

  • GO C DECEVIO AND NEW WEST ORDER MUSIC ON YOUTUBE 2012

  • looks like chris griffin

  • i used to love captain pugwash :D so funny lol

  • Why are they all fat?

  • Since when was their an nigger on board... I do believe back then they were slaves!

  • @SkittlesandSpareFilm

    True dat.

Also true that pirates didn't let racism get in the way of plunder. Maybe they picked him up after massacring the crew of a slave ship or he managed to escape from a sugar plantation in the Caribbean?

  • I always thought it was "Roger the cabin boy" and "Seaman Stains"? I was obviously given false factual info. LOL

  • @deejaydoubleyoo

    You missed out Master Bates.

  • @deejaydoubleyoo

check my vid. it explains the whole thing

  • this is pants

  • "Seaman Stains"

  • urgh! modernist version

  • @LordStek apparently so! it's bollocks

  • Where's Master Bait?

  • @DeJay323 They replaced him due to naughty reasons with Ivana Fukalot. :)

  • @Stingrayproductions2 oh i heard about that, but there was another person, some girl by the name of Sheeza Hore...

  • @DeJay323 Yea, she hooked up with Eric Tile Disfunction. They broke up due to going too slow.

  • i have a video with this episode on. AND I LOVE IT!!!!!!

  • What ever happened to "Roger the Cabinboy", "Seaman Stains" and Master Bates?

  • What ever happened to "Roger the Cabinboy", "Seaman Stains" and Master Bates?

  • The animation is smoother now so that modern kids will actually want to watch it! Is that really so confusing? Personally I think it retains it's charm and is a far better update compared to the CGI Captain Scarlet or the modern Tom and Jerry episodes.

  • its a shame i saw this version when i was small (im not saying its bad cause i loved it back then) i soon discovered the cut outs and soon learned that was the original and im starting to wish i saw that version instead its annoying when you discover something when its not the real thing and when you gget like at the age of 13 or 14 thats when you discover the real version and you cant do anything about it cause your only young once BUT YOUR NEVER TOO OLD FOR ANYTHING AM I RIGHT?!!

  • @evantrude You might be right but nobody understands what you're on about the way you write.

  • how not?

  • too bad he's the one who found one piece

  • its to refering sm books from barco de vapor?

  • Is tom an uncle? Then you could say that his nephew would sleep in Uncle Tom's Cabin. XD Sorry, just talked about it in history today, couldn't resist.

  • tom the cabin boy. idiot.

  • IN AUSTRALIAN ?

  • What's wrong with this new version? Well, here are some examples:

    1. The absence of Peter Hawkins.

    2. The animation quality can be discussed, but the colouring... Puke! Barf! Vomit!

    3. Pirate Barnabas is gone. Replaced by the politically correct Pirate Jonah ("Making more cocoa, Captain!")

    4. Tom the Cabin Boy looks like an oversized two-year old.

    5. The stories are way too childish and/or corny.

Conclusion: Forget this, and stick to the superior 1975 series.

  • @SirThunderbolt what happened to master bates

  • @SirThunderbolt A Agree

  • lol, tom wasnt making coco, he was smokin a bong haha!

  • thanks to whoever thumbs upped this :D you are cool!

  • they look like theyre off Family Guy

    LMAOO xD

  • I thought it was Family Guy! That's why I clicked on it! I thought Chris was dressed up as a pirate.

  • You mean Family Looks like it's off Captain Pugwash.

  • sea man stains and master bate

  • Don't forget - Roger the cabin boy

  • Lol good times were too innocent to realise what the names ment back in the day evil tv directors

Seaman Staines and Master bates roger the cabain Boy LOL

  • slipjim....The cabin boy was Tom.....there was a Master Mate.. but no Master Bates, and certainly no Seaman Staines.....

How gullible are you believing that old joke was real?? durrr

  • Just saw 'caught in the act', Pugwash called the Mate, Master Mater, and made the M in Mate sound like a B lol.

  • RIP John Ryan Thank you for your wonderful creation

  • lol is that mr.t?

  • I used to watch this after school.

I liked it! Just because the cardboard cut out one was the original doesn't mean this one sucks. I was the age group it was aimed at back then, and I liked it, as I said.

  • Comment removed

  • Just read an old comment about a jester and a king... that's probably King Rollo.

And the original was cardboard cut-outs, not cel-animated.

The 'funny' names were a fabrication, which people refuse to drop because they love a good urban myth, and/or something to insist upon ad nauseum, despite having absolutely nothing to back it up with apart from some internet-enhanced fallacy. I watched the original when I was a kid; the more innocent sounding names are the correct ones.

  • They fucked it....this isnt the right one, the original one was kinda cut out animation...not this shit

  • Why do you have to swear you moron? Kids might want to look at this

  • This isn't the original version of Captain Pugwash this is newer animation.

  • that must have been the first captain pugwash clip ive seen in 8 years thanx a lot

  • thanksssssssssssssssss soo much such memories or great special simple days xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Seaman Stains

    Master Bates

    Roger the Cannon Boy &

    Shag the Cat

  • No its really master mate, check it on wikipedia or any character list.

  • He's right, it's Master Mate - all the 'funny' names are an urban legend. It's Tom the Cabin Boy, and there is NO Seaman Staines at all.

  • Can't comment on the Australian word for a blow job, but the rest of it? URBAN LEGEND. Look it up, you have internet access - it's easy enough to confirm.

  • i remember this vertion for kids TV back in the day.

can't really say i liked it, but you cannot deny the might of captain pugwash

  • Thats Realy Quite Offencive & Upsetting For People Who Grew Up With The Show.

Its A Kids TV Program Yeah?

If Your Sad Enough To Make A Joke Outa It What Does It Say About You & Your Life ?

  • I'm an animator myself, and I totally agree with ozlnd, the older cut-out style had much more character and charm than this tinker-town pristine version. Bob the Builder originally in stopmotion is to be CGI too.

  • how many pirates are members of jake's team and which ones are member's of pugwashes team with tom the cabin boy can you please tell me

  • i just dont know how they got away with there names honestly ,seamon stane fucking genuis

  • That's just an urban myth - there were no characters with those names. The cabin boy was called Tom for example, not Roger, and it was Master Mates.

  • but there names are like seaman staines, so your saying on the real program there names were different?

  • There was no character called Seaman Staines, it is a myth created by a newspaper (who were successfully sued by the creator). Check out the wikipedia entry for a list of the characters and more on the urban myth.

  • You cant deny Master Bates though!!!

  • It's Master MATES !!

  • It's sodding not!!! check out captain pugwash and the cannonball on the right-it is SO master Bates.

  • No its master mate...

  • Comment removed

  • Their names never were different. I bet you've seen the Loch Ness monster haven't you?

  • Oh what sad days we now find ourselves in!Bill and Ben The flower Pot Men,The Magic Roundabout, and now Captain Pugwash, all modernized and made to look all nice and perfect. Its enough to make you think of just packing it all in.What were they thinking?Ive had a gutfull of this,im totally outraged, who's next?Im protesting by not watching any of the above mentioned shows ever again (unless in original state).Lets all make a stand now before its too late.

  • seaman staines master bates:)

  • Daily Mail reader

  • Indeed,

  • Whats this shit - where is the real captain

  • for some reason they deleted another pugwash clip for being in breach of terms of service WTF ?

  • Oy... Captain Pugwash used to be cardboard cut-outs... boo, we want Pugwash, we want Pugwash...

You've just toyed with my childhood, what a cruel thing to do to a (big) child...

  • Totally...........boo hiss, we want Pugwash. Definitely cut outs! Where is that footage?

  • WTF?!?! This is NOT the show I remember. They had like rel actors mouths super-imposed over the animation. I remember it freaked me out as a kid.

  • I dont remember Captain Pugwash being like that. Are you sure you aren't thinking of "Captain Fathom"?

  • original is always the best!!!! what is this piffle?

  • yay horatio pugwash!!! ftw

  • This ain't no Captain Pugwash I know. Where's the original?

  • Does anyone know where the 3D version of Captain Pugwash may be, I remember being perplexed by it as a kid, and my animation teacher recently told me it was one of his least favourite things he's ever worked on, so I'd like to see it-any help much appreciated. Thank You I know this is sort of 3D but I know there was a proper 3D version as well.

  • It was '3D' as in cardboard cut-outs, 'pop up book' style, from my memory, and yes, I'd like to see it too :(~~~~

  • Its funny how he said 'boy' its sounds like he was singing it.

  • What's gay about it? It's just a flippin' cartoon. The original's better tho. It's children's TV for heavens sake

  • Unfortunally it was master mate , not master bate . Watch the original , its a pity though , would be funnier

  • someone had a sence of hurmour back then do you remember there names??? masterbates and seaman/staines

  • I love this gay pirate cartoon, I remember watching it a a child of 5 in Duaringa Qld Australia.

  • this isnt captain pugwash!

    this is the weird version!!!!!!!!!!

  • What was the name of the other show in a similar style, it was narrated by a jester and was about a king? Anyone help?

  • Sir Prancelot, or something like that!

  • I remember being thrown in front of the old black and white TV when I was 7 and watching these.

Its probably where fascination with pirates came from.

  • His mouth actually moves. Weird. Where's the old ones

  • What have they done to my preicious childhood memories

  • Cocoa?!

  • tottering turtles! superb!

  • OMG i use to watch this when i was tiny coool!
