  • Hold on Brian! Haha poor guy needs a drink ;)

  • is the original by ccr???

  • @PAilO1234321

The best known version was by Rick Nelson.

  • epic

  • It's sad that Ricky Nelson died 6 months before this concert.

  • 20 years and still rocking!

  • Queen had the best vocals among the rock bands.

  • I sing this in a barbershop group; this is a most unlikely intersection of cultures! It further proves to me that these guys are/were not only legendary rock stars but truly gifted musicians.

  • @darthmacdougall Exactly. The Beatles and Queen could get by in most any genre because they fully committed to the song. Zep and The Stones dabbled in other genres but you get the feeling they would bail if it went bad live (The Stones for damn sure). Heard "Good Old Fashioned Loverboy" yesterday - a true testimony to Freddie and the boys OWNING a song fully.

  • ooh I've got this massive smile on my face now!!!!xxx

  • I might sing mary lou whilst i'm half asleep instead of tutti frutti tutti frutti lol hahaha xxoxoxox cuddles xx

  • This is incredibly nice like someone sweet I know about xx

  • Powerful voice. I like this as much or even more than Ricky's version (if that's possible).

  • normally you get a tambourine when there's no real reason for you to be on stage. roger taylor is the exception :)

  • he has the voice of a god

  • Only Queen can take a great song and make it even greater.

  • These guys would have been stars any where, any era, any genre of music.

  • 15 are sick in their mind and soul

  • His voice fits to all genres, it's strange. And oh so fantastic...

  • @Kalabanano yes unbelivable

  • hhahhahah my name is mary and nick name loo lol!!!!

  • Was this a tribute to Ricky Nelson?

  • @MarioMetroidFan No, that was just version of this song by Queen

  • 15 people says: "Good Bye, Mary Lou"

  • Love when all three of the them harmonize live. This and '39. RIP Freddie, best ever.

  • Ugh, where was I when this was happening? Oh, I was 3 months old. Damnit! lol. I <3 Queen so freakin' much.

  • @aparker22418 Hehe, same here. I was barely a year old. :)

  • @Gasoline85 We were born too late. :-( lol

  • @aparker22418 True! :)

  • probably the most valuable empty of cup of water there is XD

  • aww their passion and harmonizing makes mary lou the most beautiful woman in the world. def better than original:)

  • Freddy just needs his f-ing water. ;)

  • God how I love this..

  • God, how I wish I was Mary Lou.

  • wonderful live performance

  • Adriano Celentano songs it too

  • Maravilha!!! Ricky Nelson cantava esta muito bem, mas Freddie não ficou nada a dever...Ah, meus 15 anos...

  • WOW, I"m impressed, love this rendition of Hello Mary Lou. GREAT! Wish Freddy was alive still.

  • @oldcodyjr he will be in the right place besides you

  • @VicIII7 I think I get your meaning. I'm a she, not a he, if that makes a difference to your interpretation of my comment. ???

  • @oldcodyjr me too. I love Queen.

  • Ahah, 1:31 and 1:34, Brian pretends to be pissed off, because of Freddie's interruption

  • I love this moment, 0:52

  • Never knew he sung this song - you're a legend Freddy, we all miss u.

  • @coffeeadam WE STILL LOVE YOU FREDDIE!!!!!

  • When I spotted this video slot I knew I was going to enjoy it! Anything Fred Mercury did was always a winner. He had so much style and a great sense of humour to boot! Thanks poster.

  • no matter what he sang .... it was out of this world ....

  • Will NEVER forget Wembley 1986

  • I love this song

  • I just realised : that's the first time I ever hear Brian singing lead in a Queen concert... Roger often would, but never Brian..

  • This was probably Queen's tribute to Ricky Nelson who died the year before this came out.

  • " I need my fucking water, I dont care" XD Genious

  • FUCK BIEBER!!!!! ALL HEil QUeen!!

  • Oh this is fun watching Freddie and the gang singing this song! Just Great!

  • A good cover but i like mor the Creedence cover

    QUEEN AND CREEDENCE FOREVER

  • No one quite like Freddie

  • @BlackFlames676 we do

  • its just beautiful.... :) ... freddie <3

  • How can you not love this? :-)

  • At the end Freddie washed the Brian's face XD

  • What a lovely performance! Bri and Roger are adorable here!

I love their cute little moment at 0:50 :D

  • Aids

  • Queen are the best band on the world!!

  • Great to see a tribute to RN who died months before this performance.

  • dang freddie is so short lol

  • Freddie Mercury has with absolutely no debate involved the best stage presence of all time. Not to mention his voice...

  • I would have loved to hear what Brian would have done with the guitar bridge.

  • as good as wilson kelly singing the song.

  • brian put on an american accent :)

  • this rendition ALWAYS makes my day

  • hmm lets see... this is the wembley concert and this is the last song,...

  • Why do you think it was the last song?

The session with the cover songs was the middle-part of the concert.

  • @no1saphead That is the band Queen, yes. His body movements are part of the performance.

  • I wonder who the cup hit at 1:47

  • @Lordcrazy12: I guess it was just plastic und someone catched it and put it on a throne ... at least that's what I would have done XD

  • great I love the three versions ricky nelson, creedence and queen

  • Led Zeppelin version is GREAT too! On the 3CD live "How the west was won"

  • Yeah, that version is the best =)

It's in the middle of the song Whole lotta love, right?

  • Yes! They cover old classic blues song and then finish with Whole Lotta Love! They did a version of Boogie Chillun that deserves to remain in history^^

  • very cool miss you Freddy

  • I didn't know they did this...great!

  • better than the original. give me thumbs down, see if i care, that was nothing short of epic. stunning cover.

  • good song when it was first out but queen owned the song and the stadium here on this night.this is an amazing concert which i am happy to have on DVD.

  • i was at this gig as a 21 yr old and im not ashamed to say from the moment the first chords of 'one Vision' to the end of 'God Save The Queen' it was blind hero worship!!.....what an atmosphere on that night!!

  • i was bron after freddie died, sadly, but i still love the man to this day.(just as a singer!haha)he is an inspiration to me as is elvis.i am 17 but love queens music and elvis'.the king and queen.i have this show on DVD.

love it when he says "i need my f***ing water,LETS GO!!!"

  • i cant sing a queen song in tune.i pay tribute to Elvis Presley.i sing in my own version of his voice.

  • I'm 16 and feel the same way ;)

Sadly, most music these days is just total crap.

  • @woodster1965 <<==LUCKY! i'm very jealous... but i'm glad that we have footage to look back on... and may his music live on forever!

  • @woodster1965 ....Wow! You are so, SO lucky!!!! That sounds so incredible!!!!! What I would give to have been there! I knew that's what it was like to be at this concert....like Heaven!!

I love it when Freddie says, "One more time!" So Amazing!!!!

  • @woodster1965 How big were Queen in the 80s? It's before my time!

  • @lucrativeelfmongrel HUGE! Just look at the crowds at any of their live gigs

  • @billaniep Rest in peace Freddie we still love ya.

  • @woodster1965 what a privilege! one of the main reasons I wish I was at least born a decade earlier!

  • @woodster1965 I was there too ,I was 17 at the time ,truly the best concert I have beeen to ,just love watching these clips on here .

Queen rules the whole musicworld, as the name tells us, and always will.

    RIP Freddie Mercury

  • excellent!!!...very well done!!

  • totally have this on CD

  • Whacky!

  • awesome. of all the songs I can imagine queen covering, this would have been about the last. Not too far from "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", I guess

  • but Crazy is a Queen song ;)

  • yes my friends I'm well aware, but it's definitely a rockabilly throwback to Presley et al

  • sure ;)

  • Brian May, as well as Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, and Paul McCartney, were all huge fans of Ricky Nelson and in particular James Burton, his brilliant guitarist.

  • lol Crazy little thing called love is a queen song

  • Lovely comment, my friend. Freddie's presence shall always be missed, but, at least, I shall be able to tell my children that I could enjoy his and Queen's uncomparable talent while he was on earth.

  • ahhh this is brilliant.

    I'm totally digging John's shorts.

    Hot stuff XD

  • LOL

  • "I need my fucking water I don't care"

    LOL

Freddie is the best there ever was.

  • If I saw Freddie's cup flying in the audience I would have jumped over everyone and might have trampled and killed a few people just to get it!!! <3 Haha, but I'm really serious.

  • are you morbidly obease?

  • No, I was saying that because I might step on people's heads and kill them how the fck does that have anything to do with being obese?

    Lmfao that made me laugh.

  • show must go on! :-)

  • god musik 60 ai lov

  • Brian singing!!!

  • This voice is incredible!!!!

  • 1:37 i need my fucking water and i dont care :L!

  • what he says at the minute 1:37 ?

  • i need my f ***in' watter , i don't care : )

  • thanks a lot! :D

  • you was best Freddie :)

  • He is still the best!

  • the best fucking band ever !!

  • good cover of ricky nelson actually the best cover ever

  • Very good, makes me hate today's 'music' all the more. No talent porngraphic scum like ladygaga, enimen, rihanna and all the bands etc etc can't sing to begin with and only sell themselves with sex but they wouldn't even know what a good, sweet old fashioned and mature song was. The world lost to many great singers to soon...now all we're left with is corrupt, materialistic trash that will do anything to be famous and make money. Pity afew of today's 'slut singers' wouldn't drop dead.

  • I also think it's a good case to perform a song like this during such a big concert

  • i love them, love it at :50, Freddie and Roger having fun and so adorable!!!!!! just the best band ever.

  • excellent!

  • this is like the 5th tome i listoning to this i cant really stop queen does this son very good i was shock at how good it sounded the first time i heard it R.I.P freddie<3

  • Wow ! Great Rendition.

  • 'too bad he died' thats a bit of an understatement lol

  • that it is... a BIG understatement

  • I'll 2nd that, emilychilipepper!

  • too bad he died bc he has a great voice

  • how perfect are the harmonies its just beautiful

  • i love the bit at 0:52 if only brian was in the shot that would sum by Queen fairly well because they were good mates unlike boy bands atm who are scared to move/dance/be friends with each other! We still love you freddie...

  • " Now, I'm not that one that gets around !

I swear my feet stuck to the ground " : )

    beautiful !!! I love it !

love Queen ! have the DVD of this concert, I wish i was there ! thank you : )

and yes Ricky Nelson would be proud !!

  • I'm so pleased Mr Bulsara knew his roots and paid homage to some seriously great rock n roll. Mikey xxx

  • Freddy has sure got one hell of a great voice. That damn aids has killed a great talent and I sure miss him.

  • roger ♥

    freddie♥

    john♥

    brian♥

  • love everything about Freddie!!! He was the greatest!!!

  • What's not to love about Freddie !

  • lol freddie at 1:37 "i need me fucking water i dont care!" lol

  • I loved this. Thanks for posting it. Ricky Nelson would be so proud.

  • Yeah, you must remember that Ricky died just a few months prior to these shows so their tribute was well timed.

  • Rick would be proud

  • Superb!

  • Amazing - proof that rockabilly lives everywhere!

    Mikey xx

  • he is the best singer at the world

  • Freddie wasn't at Wembley stadium, he WAS Wembley. Incredible.

  • It's cool that Queen covered this one. Ricky Nelson was a talent to be sure, and Freddie obviously recognized that. The only problem I have is that Brian May didn't play the signature James Burton guitar break! Come on now. That's the highlight of the song. Burton still gets asked about that solo. I think Brian May could have really done it justice. Oh well.
