  • 8 kid's? My directions? Keep singing!

  • It doesn't have the nice flow that this song usually does. Might be because the lead singer is too amped up and the background is at like 50%.

  • She was chosen to do Sandy from Grease. It would have been interesting to see her instead of Olivia Newton John. Still, she stuck by her standards. Good for her!

  • beautiful GOD is so great

  • What can I say? Beeeeeeeeeeeeeautifully sung. I loved her when Paper Roses was in the pop charts in the 70s, and I love her now.

  • When I saw that one of my favorite and prettiest singers was singing one of my favorite hymns - LDS or not I had to listen. Praise be to God. Thank you John. Jimmy Mac from Las VEgas

  • i never heard Marie sing this high before! this is totally amazing! i LOVE Marie!!!

  • Another great video, thanks so much for posting them. I love to hear her sing, I just wish her ear pieces would fit her. She's always having issues with them, I'm starting to wonder if maybe she's fiddling with them as a nervous gesture. Like saying 'Um' when talking to a crowd.

  • I chose this hymn to be sung at my baptism in December last year! One of my favorites since I was a child.

  • I really enjoyed this. The Bible teaches us "To Make a Joyful Noise Until The Lord". I believe anyone who feels the Power of Jesus has a PLACE to sing to the Lord.

  • Perfeito

  • Breathtaking. Thank you for uploading this.

  • wonderful...no matter what our faith

  • anything that the osmond family does is trully amazing..i have seen the osmond brothers in concert in the 70ies,i have seen donny in concert,in joseph, and recently saw donny, marie in las vegas..but this just brought me to tears..it touched my heart so...my 30 year old son went with me in vegas..he said oh no i am going to have to be drunk to watch donny osmond for 2 hrs..he is a proffessional drummer..said it was the best show he had ever seen...

  • You must be jealous?

  • Marie, well done. It's lovely, as lovely as Elvis' version.

  • We have President BENSON to thank that this hymn was included in the new green hymnal. The music committee rejected it as being too Protestant. Luckly the prophet insisted. Marie sings it just like a Christian recording artist.

  • Her musical communication skills are great!!! This is a very subtle thing, but as a voice coach, I emphasize this: Listen to the emphasis she places on certain words-it's the same inflection one would use in conversation.

Her delivery gave me goose bumps-it was not a performance, it was a testimony. It was not Marie glorifying her voice, it was Marie glorifying her God.

It would have been great if the arrangement would have allowed Marie to use her "classical" voice.

  • Thanks for your comments, this was one I hadn't really appreciated at the time, indeed it was one of the songs that I uploaded last... but it's a really interesting perspective you have that helps us appreciate how Marie sung this. Thanks again, all the best, John.

  • @MuscleMikal Well put!!

  • @joebyu Thanks, Joe :)

  • @MuscleMikal Her and Karen Carpenter are my fav female voices of all time

  • Fanatastic!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks, John. It was nice of you to reply!

  • Amo a Marie...que quieren que haga?

    Gracias por tu bella voz.

  • Wonderful...Amen!

  • It seemed to me that the music was,nt suited to the song. Sorry, Marie song/hymn did,nt suit your voice!

  • she is a true talent . gives of herself and is an inspiration to so many. god bless marie and the osmonds.

  • It is not how well the person sings. She is singing from her heart and that is what counts.

  • I can't bear it! I have to say something. Marie's voice is not suited to this great hymn! The song deserves someone with a fuller, more experienced singing ability. Marie's has a 'small' voice, and it's not as it used to be. She strains a lot and breathes wrong...sings from her throat instead of her abdomen. Marie suits more even-keeled, simple tunes. I still like her a lot tho.

Donny, on the other hand, still has a great voice, much better preserved over the years.

    Bless them both.

  • she sung beautifully one of my all time favorite hymns and looked perfect for the occasion.

  • her gown is a bit too low for such a song and venue, thus revealing her cleavage which was very conspicuous and distracting. she could be an effective example especially for young people through more modest attire even in performances.

  • Why not let a Beautiful Woman sing a Beautiful song while showing how Beautiful her body is in a gown suited for her. In other words, shut up!

  • Love the Woman, Love the Gown and love the way it shows her Beautiful shape. Hey Marie, you did good , Woman! Show that awesome body while you still have it! People who call it distracting are jealous that you still have a terrific body! Work it Girl!

  • still a pretty girl

    kudos to you Marie

[like she will ever see this, LOL]

  • this song like Sandy Patty's song (the arrangement)

    but it's great too

  • I have always loved this song...and wasn't Marie wonderful singing it?

  • dat was zeker mooi

  • Thanks for the video.

  • thank you for this video this too is my all time favorite gospal song

  • Thanks that was beautiful.
