My opinion -The place is a dump and a rusting relic. Yes it was safer many years ago when karts were much slower. Now the karts are faster and wider and there's no reason to go there anymore. I you love it - great.. We have different opinions.
Was it safer in the old days when people only ran bugs and emmicks, with helmets that wouldnt protect you more than a modern bike helmet would? Modern karts have nothing to do with it. Is the track dangerous...na. Its more the people that run it and their disregard for anything logical.
This place has been around forever, I see its very narrow and uses hay and tires for crash walls. In New Jersey you could not race at a track like that since NJ State Police regulate all racing. Hay and Tires are not legal here since the hay presents a fire hazzard and the tires suck you in.
@arrowkart4j straw bills are way safer, doesnt destroy ur chassis as much as a plastic barrier would, and even if you did go off track the only fence to hit is behind a couple layers off straw bills and tires. calspeed is probably WAY more dangerous then adams with there tires and having chassis bent up. idk why people dont go to adams?

@arrowkart4j Would you rather hit a fence?

@kentonraceman8 No, soft wall bag or plastic barrier. I went under a chain link fence backwards one time and it was bad.

Nice video, Howie. I love the look and colors of the Sodi. Sure looks like a fun track.
