Maybe some one can help me. There was this screensaver I used to LOVE as a kid and it was a little bit like this one. It was a building with windows and you could see the silhouette of the people doing silly stuff through them. I don't remember much I just remember I would always watch it and was wondering if any one knew what it was called or where I could find it. I DO remember every now and then a UFO would crash into the side of the building but that's about it.

back when Windows had THEMES! I used to love the 70's theme when I was a little girl 'cause it was so flowery. I freaking loved this screen saver, though!

how did you get it to work on windows 7? we tried downloading from some link but all we could get were the themes on windows 7 not the screensavers.

@danbydog Hi, I did 'exactly what it says on the box'. I downloaded the w98pl.exe and ran it and it worked on XP and Win7 home premium. All the themes work, but I keep the Mystery ss on. What you need to look at is the screen saver option on the right hand side when you are on the themes screen, where it shows the desktop picture, colour option, sound etc. Click on the screen saver pic and run down the list until you find Mystery etc.

@SpooxXx hey. everything but the screensavers downloaded. i just tried downloading from that link again. under the screensaver options are just the ones that come with windows 7. is there something else i need to be doing?

@SpooxXx ps- i think i don't have the dlls (WILDLB32.DLL and WL32DLL.DLL) because all i get is a black screen when i try to run the screensavers but the screensavers i found under my documents library not with the screensavers.

It is the other page that www2nicksdomain mentions. I cannot think what else you should do. I've just reinstalled the exe from the link and everything is working fine still. Sorry. There is mention of a Win7 installer on that other page. Perhaps contact nick?

I know I miss Windows 98 too but I got the Desktop themes and screensaver on my Windows xp/Vista system. So you can go to the video that has all of the windows 98 screensavers and instll them.

I used the extract command on the Windows 98 CD to copy the following files over to C:\Windows\System32:

WILDLB32.DLL, WL32DLL.DLL, Mystery.scr, Mystery.dll

Then the screensaver shows up in the standard Display Properties >> Screensaver dialog.

I had it from an older computer. Windows 98 isn't quite abandonware yet, so I wouldn't advise torrenting it.
