@victoriaanoza a polymer and some other crap. in your example, elmers glue is the polymer... Different polymers give different consistency. the glue/borax mix is like silly putty, while this is more of an OOZE kind of slime, it was runnier and thinner.

3) the slime is translucent

The only slime that matches all 3 points is made by mixing a borax solution with a polyvinyl alcohol solution.
