The mother should of listen to the cop in the beginning. Get back in the car! The cop is not overreacting! The mom refused! So the cop said your under arrest for not following order, the mom gets back in the car, cop said no your under arrest, get off the car. The mom refused, the end of the day Cops need to get home safe.
This arrest is Justified. The mom is stupid! I am studying to become lawyer!
That cop overreacted horribly in this situation but you have to remember police officers are constantly under the stress because they never know when something could happen but really the mom didn't do anything.
Bitch deserved to get tased you dont get out of a car during a traffic stop unless you plan to A. Kill or hurt the officer B. He tells you too C. Run Away Or in this womans case D. Because your a dumb bitch who wants to see how fast she can get tased
Maybe next time when stopped by a cop she will keep her fat ass in the car and just take the ticket like the rest of us smart people who have never been beaten or tased by a cop.
@redwineisfine I agree 100%. Only foolish people believe they have 'rights'. Cops are actually pretty cool if you show them that you understand they are Gods and you are their Slaves. I usually just call them Master and they have Never ticketed me.
It's common sense... don't argue with someone who carries a weapon for a living. They are trained to use it, not to have a fair discussion.
Just understand you live under Police Authority and your life will seriously be easier.
@coupleofpennies Glad you agree. That fat cunt should have shut her fat mouth for once and she would have been perfectly fine. But as usual that bitch ran her mouth and this time she paid for it. As long as people like her are around there will be stupid stories of how unfair the police and ther conduct is. Fat cunts of the world unite.....
@noxrawr I know all she had to do is keep her fat ass in the van. This is what happens when some people they are more important than the rest of the world. They get their fat asses handed to them. Stupid cunt waaah waah I didn't follow the rules and he tased me. No shit lady.
she's a stupid bi*** hr told her she was under arrest and she didin't comply with his orders more than once that's resisting arrest the cop was in the right
This is just like the rodney king beating, where the media removed portions of the video that show him attacking the police officers, so all the public saw was the cops beating the shit out of him.
@KayBeeEee1983 The cops beat the shit out of him, and then beat him and beat him and beat him some more. Even if Rodney pulled a knife, the sustained beating the cops put on that dude was too much.
Then she squared off with the cop, and tried to get back into her car a SECOND time. THEN he tasered her. this is fucking outrageous. the today show has removed all the parts of the video that show the level of this woman's insubordination. they should be ashamed. this isn't legitimate media, it's the fucking national enquirer for tv.
Did anyone notice the today show edited this woman's explanation to the newspaper? they left out "He asked me to get back in the car and again I said show me the tape, please show me the tape" the show gives the impression the cop pulled out his taser and tried to arrest her immediately after she exited her car. The reality is that he REPEATEDLY told her to get back in the car and she refused, so he placed her under arrest. she got back in her car, and the cop pulled her back out of the car.
I live in Onondaga county and the police here are very good. If she would have listened, this wouldn't have happened. shes doing a little something called failure to comply.
@cyanideisabitterpill i see you're removing comments all over the place you fucken pussy. I am going to make you regret ever randomly dropping by my channel and attacking me and then blocking me so i have no right of reply....im tipping you'll close this account within a week after im done with you.......YEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHH.
Cause and effect. If she stayed in the car with her kids in the first place, chances are she would have been fine. Being a cop is a scary piece of business. Who do you trust? No one. So, when you make a stupid move, don't be surprised when you slammed to the ground. And yes, there are some messed up cops out there. Just like there are messed up doctors, nurses, etc. Name the field and you will find bad and good. But as far as protecting your life as a police officer, if you hesitate, you die.
Wow. U sound scared of ur own shadow. How many stories do you see about cops saving lives? How many stories do you see about police brutality? Wake up and have a look around at what's happening. A mother (who wasn't even ON the phone) in a minivan with two kids, no weapon, non-threatening should NOT be tasered. I think you've seen too many movies. Get off the couch and go outside.
Police Officers DO NOT have to show anyone the "tape" or "radar" or anything inside of a police emergency vehicle. She is so worried about being embarrassed and put in hand cuffs in front of her kids she wasnt worried about that when she got out of the vehicle in the first place. She says she was scared, thats obviously a lie since she got out of the vehicle the first time. She needs to spend some time in jail and realize that when an officer pulls you over listen and obey his LAWFUL orders.
she is a pathetic parent for not having a weapon readilly available to protect herself and her children from criminals like that , someone needs to contact child services!!!!!!!
In Michigan a teen was handcuffed and then tased to death by police in his home. The parents made the first mistake by calling 911 saying their teenage son was "out of control". I guess he is controllable since he is now dead. Parents don't call on your children control them yourself.
A fatal flaw of this incident is the audio. We dont know how she was expressing her words. She could have been a bitch to him. Secondly, a taser is build to subdue a person. instead of a billy club smacking her to the ground. Everyone who complains about cops clearly does not know the assholes and dangers these men and women go through everyday.
I feel bad for the mom and the five year old child. The office could have been a little bit comer because she wasn't a threat to him. he must have been having some bad ishue, If it were me I would have sood. them taser hurt like a son of a gun.
she got out of the car. She then listend to get back in the car. You do the math. This freaking countrys turning capitalist. Liberalist. Police Statism. God were gonna have to call it a new goverment. Well call it. Stupidityism.
Tazerd then beaten? This is only right in a POLICE STATE!!!!. Listen to 0:50-1:00. It says and I quote ''He asked me to get in the car then he took out his tazer and said he was under arrest.
The video with audio clearly proves that he said to get back into her vehicle, and never said not to get into her car. Once she was in her car he told her to get out of her car. Plain and clear, he over reacted, as many of these egomaniacs do. There are some officers that are great officers, but too many of these guys think they can do anything, and I have video footage of their out of control speeding that proves it.
I think there are more examples of police doing great things for the community, and helping people, preventing crime, and catching the bad guys then there are of police brutality and poor decisions. I think that the brutality and bad decisions are just broadcasted and shown more becasue it gets more ratings and viewers. "to many of these guys" is an over statement. I think using the words a select few, would be closer.
And I think that police don't do their damn job, and could make a far better impact on the communities than they do. Instead they are lazy, and instead of going after serious criminals or people breaking traffic laws that could kill people, even their fellow officers, they go after people for minor infractions like going 3mph over the speed limit, or other like crimes that could be just as much a mechanical problem with the vehicle.
I don't know what the cops are like where you live, but you got to be going WAY more than 3 over, more like 10-15. Like I siad before "some" do what you mentioned above, MOST don't. Cops here just caught a guy convicted of homicide and there are major drug busts all the time. I'm guessing you think all cops are lazy and d-bags because one time you got pulled over for going 3 over. If that's the case that doesn't mean every cop does.
More like half the people I know have gotten pulled over from going 1-3 over the limit. If it was just one person, then I would have just assumed the guy was having a bad day and wanted to be a dick.
Still I see cops at least once a month going 30-50+ over the speed limit without emergency lights or anything, different departments, different cars, definitely different officers.
There are more bad cops than you want to act like bud. It is a common fact that we know is wrong with our society.
You can't claim the non-existence of something, that is not how things work in the world. It takes far more proof to prove the non-existence of a thing or event than it does to prove its existence. That is why science is structured in a way that requires proof of things, not disproof of things.
Police brutality happens in ever major city and almost every town. Studies have proven it, and it is just common fact. The rate of it is disputed because they cover each other.
Well i think you would feel differently if it was your mum, sister, son, dad, friend or YOU this was happening to. yet lets not even take this video, look at all the others.
im sure the police do good things, but EVEN STILL the stuff on youtube is just the stuff people managed to record, IMAGINE all the stuff people dont get to record?
im sure that the police actrually do good things and its not that i have a problem with, they get paid to do those good things, but you write "all the GOOD things not recorded" like it excuses what there doing here.... well i have news for you, it doesnt. And the truth is it is INEXCUSABLE, funny how your the only person in the comments who has something positive to say about the police.... notice a pattern?
I'm not defending this cop in particular, his ass should be fired if not jailed. I'm defending cops in general from "fuck the police" and "pigs are corrupt" comments. If you took the worst videos of a group of people of course they'll ALL look bad but their not. Thats all I'm saying, that unless you know every single police officer in the USA is corrupt first hand then there is no justification in comments like that.
1st of all i never said those things, but lets stop for a second and think why WOULD people say those things about the police? I think statments like "all police are corrupt" is a generalisation. The police would never generalise any one would they.... say black people, all police treat everyone equally? Right? its not individual cases that bring about bad stigma towards police, maby the ploice should be more carefull as an institution about there image?
I never accused you of saying things like that, I just said those are the comments I'm defending police from. And police as a whole are trained not to generalize to the best of their nature but ALL HUMANS DO. There is not a single person on this earth who doesn't profile. An article I read said that police that participated in a shoot no shoot simulation were 4x less likely to shoot a person of the opposite race holding a phone to look like a gun (compared to the general public)
Humans stereotype, some cops do to a point where it effects their ability to do their job well, these officers should be fired. But the majority of them do their job and do it well.
p.s. I'm glad we can argue like adults with out swearing and bashing like most people on youtube.
Resisting arrest??? What arrest was she resisting?!?!? Those "resisting arrest" and "disorderly conduct" charges are a carte blanche for police to arrest anyone they simply have a beef with. Even worse in parts of Canada where it's now ILLEGAL to insult a police officer!!! "You're under arrest" "Okay, but you're a dick" taser, taser, taser. "Why did you taser him?" "He called me a dick, a hurt my wickle feelings waahaahaaa."
Looking at your profile clearly your not an american. Why do you care so much about american policy? Arnt there more posts with guys with black sheets on their heads that you could be commenting on ?
Old ladies have the smarts to stay in the car. Thought this was about tazers not mace perhaps you should become better informed before you go mouthing off and make your ignorance clear for all to see.
You realize the video you just watched... with its 5 minutes of repeating garbage audio, is a media production. Edited to make sure it enraged you. The officers life WAS at risk. The woman PROVED she had no desire to follow directions. he told her to get in the car, she didnt , why would an officer thing she got back in , after it being CLEAR she had no desire to get in and get a ticket. I would have thought she had a weapon. Notice in this production you dont know what she is saying.
Finally, There are true cases of police brutality out there that we can all agree on. There are NSA rules regarding search and seizure of electronics devices at borders that dissolve your fourth amendment rights. These things cannot be argued. These things are what you guys need to get on the soap box about because you actually stand a chance at winning the argument. at making a change occur. This case is not wise to fight for , as she clearly broke the law. You cant win.
I am a white 28 year old male , And i can say with out doubt the only reason this made the press is this woman is white has kids, and drives a mini van. Because of this the video was edited to make it seem like it was some great injustice when she broke the law. If she was black no one would give a shit , Its up to us to research the facts before we go up on a soap box to defend people because they are white. If she was black and broke the law noone would care why do we now , causeshe iswhite?
The sad truth is this is a media production , taking a case that is clearly NOT police brutality and censoring parts that make this clear, this is meant to enrage the population, get them to demand action, and have it disproven to make it that much harder for reform to come. The media is NOT your friend. And blindly following the medias lead will not lead to reform, it will lead to what your all trying to protest. This just isnt a case that should draw your attention.
I find it funny that utube allows you to rate posts, but throttles you if you choose to participate. The reality is pushing this womans case as a case of police brutality will only help the police who abuse their power. This case can be PROVEN to be a case of she broke the law , and the cop reacted within his right. Trying to use this case to further reform will only hurt the cause as she was wrong. Why dont you people see this fact.
Exactly. It doesnt mean that the activist who trumpet this specific womans ordeal are wrong that the system is full of problems , or that our rights are being disolved every day.... But This one case, only makes the fact our system is going down hill harder to defend when people put stupid people like this woman up on a soap box because they broke the law and got schooled on what happens when you do that.
Did you really think he could show you the camera tape? He did not ask you to get back in the car ,they order you. You disobeyed a lawful order and YOU did it in front of your kids, FINE EXAMPLE OF HOW TO HANDLE DISPUTES ON THE HIGHWAY AND NOT IN COURT. After he told you you were arresred why try to get back in the car NOW? Dont you want to see the tape? All over a traffic stop, you moron. FIGHT it in COURT
Ahh yes some one who sees clearly. Ive seen this type of woman before.... I work retail.... and this type , brings in ten year old product and then screams at you and huffs and puffs till they get you so tired of getting yelled at you take the ten year old return to get them out of your store. Fortunately Police dont have to take their shit....
If only tazers were around at Return counters..... (joking he should have pulled his gun, and avoided it blossoming into what it did)
Ok, I am the fanatic when I have rationalized all of my points logically, with backing quotes and thought progression.
And you are the logical person who ad hominem attacks incluce: Child, Hippie, belonging to a family of trouble makers, criminal, immature, a poor "cummunicator", an idealist, and a college kid.
I suppose that I am one that relies on emotional response over rational discourse.
Ah see, you think because change occurs on a small gradient it has no greater scale to consider. This incident within a vacuum has little greater meaning, but we do not live in a vacuum.
And it was the false accusation that enraged this woman...
I am sure the opposers to the Civil Rights movement said the same thing about a seat of a bus.
Quite frankly you are once again asserting your opinions as fact. Protection of liberty does not conform to your notions of it, nor to those who are contemporaries.
You are simply stating that because you do not believe in fighting for your liberty, no people should. This is not a valid argument.
i am confused as to what you think you are proving by disputing her staying in the car, doing something against the law in protest of unfair action.... still sounds like rosa parks (moving and not moving are both actions)
Rosa Parks also broke the law. She was fighting was she deemed as injustice, she did it non-violently and faced harsh consequences for doing so. Many people thought segregration was a fair and just law at the time. Where is the difference?
End of story, as you say, is that you are one who follows because it is the law. I am one who follows as long as the laws are moral and do not infringe on my liberties.
That being said you will not see me on one of these videos because I too more than likely would acquiesce to what was asked of me.
BUT He that would make his own liberty secure, must guard even his enemy from opposition; for if he violates this duty he establishes a precedent that will reach himself.
Every friend of freedom must be as revolted as I am by the prospect of turning the United States into an armed camp, by the vision of jails filled with casual drug users and of an army of enforcers empowered to invade the liberty of citizens on slight evidence.
Milton Friedman
Or How about this one from a Nobel Prize winning Economist and Statesman?
Really? Haha i do not even know how to answer this. The fact that he was a slave owner is not only a non-factor it is a terrible argument. Of course he was a slave owner, that is relative to the time period in which he lived. Where, and get this, it was not IMMORAL to have slaves.
I love people who make this argument, it is ridiculous. What moral standard do you define right and wrong by? Universal? Legal? Religious? Right and wrong are matters of perspective.
Ingorance and disobedience are completely different things. Rosa Parks, how do fall on this story? She broke the law and stood up for what was right.... is she a child or a criminal?
Haha and by your reasoning the Jews who defied Nazi laws were either children or criminals. I will take being a child or criminal then to obey to any authority which are impeeding my liberties.
That's right, easy way out as "you couldn't possibly understand".
That is like the religious person who claims to have proof of God, that you have to be a believer to see. It holds no weight in intellectual discourse.
Furthermore, don't project on me because you are obviously less educated and more dogmatic than I am.
I honestly do not care, you have drawn it far away from the real issue at every point. This police"man" was out of line.
Do you not understand that the point of my comment about your age was to be an argument ridiculing how badly you failed when you referenced my age as if it were relevant to the topic off conversation.
Yes now only if your infinite wisom helped you arrive that the word is communicate, not summincate. You argue from ignorance and opinion, and are yet to assert anything other than "it's the law."
Haha yes, I fail to "cummunicate" my points intelligently. It is indeeed "fuitle" to try to reason with me.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.
Wow. I hate to do this as I usually rise above this sort of comment and grant it no merit. But this time I will go down to your level.
You're right, how dare I think I know anything about the world in which I am an active participant, to which I contribute on a daily basis, and to which I spent a large amount of money being educated on its laws and the philosophy on which those laws are based.
Furthermore, you speak of my age as if it is a factor in my views, and maybe it is.
But would it be fair for me to say that since you are 41 you have had your dreams and hopes crashed down around you? Or that you have learned to live in the system or not question it because you are so beat down by your failures, short-comings, and insecurities that you no longer have passion or a sense of self?
Dogma is not just for the religious, it is for any sheep headed to be fleeced.
You're right it is me that is failing to "cummunicate".
And as for you questioning my skills in mediation, I viewed evidence, heard available fact and made an assessment based on reason. You are right, I fail.
Also your assertation of her"being in charge" is completely biased. As I have said she reacted poorly, but within reason given false accusal in front of her children.
Cause having kids gives you the right to break the law. Guess i gotta get some kids so I can do what ever the hell i want. If she wants to save face to her children take them to court and have it thrown out.
Yo dick head you're not as smart as you think and considering i've only been learning english for four years, i think its pretty good. There are other languages besides english you twat and look at how many comments you leave are you a retard you sister fucker, now go back to you're mental home and play with you're mums cock you botty bot
No, you are a follwer because you are a sheep. You do not question, you follow for the sake of following without any thought of the liberty that you surrender when you do this.
authority is just another word for power. and as a human its only natural to fight authority!you sound like a cop with your respect authority.respect is only given when earned! you should know that.
Had my fair share of bad times with police. They teach those 4 things i listed above in drivers ed. She got out of her car in an aggressive manner, Just because after she pushed the copper to far and he told her she is under arrest she calmed down and tried to get back in doesnt mean a dam thing. She should have thought about her kids when the cherry went off, not after she got told she was under arrest. Even her kids know better then to get out of the car ,
How can you possibly say these things? Police have become extremely abusive and they have abused the non-lethal weapons they have been given. Would it have been appropriate to shoot or beat her with the baton? Of course not. This idea that the police are an unquestionable authority is sick. The war on drugs is what is growing this police state we live in and justifying the constantly growing power and number of police.
Yes when she leaned in the car after refusing to get back in, and resisting arrest it is fair of the officer to assume she is going for a gun and he could have shot and killed her and been in the clear. The police ARE questionable..... IN COURT not on the street.
Look, verbally protesting an arrest hardly qualifies as resisting arrest. I don't know where the cop fans in this thread live, but I live in a big city and I see police brutality every day. From beatings, to tazing to harassing citizens...
If a cop tells me I am under arrest and I say "officer please don't arrest me in front of my family, I don't want to go to jail..." it's hardly resisting arrest. But by today's standards it is, and they beat you and taze you for it. This was abuse of power.
Yes these things happen And yes I agree that there should be a movement by the citizens against it. But using this woman as an example of the "police state" or police brutality just doesnt help the cause. Verbally protesting is fine, from within the car. If your told to get back in , get back in. This woman took it too far, if she got tazed while in the car its police brutality.... she disobeyed a cops order. Trumpeting cases like this that can be argued (rightfully so) doesnt help.
Even if you throw this case completely out, the police are absolutely out of control. It's counterproductive to effective policing anyway. Do the police want a citizen to be afraid of the police and untrusting of the police?
The law for "resisting arrest" has gotten rediculus. Anything besides "yes sir, arrest me sir, do what you please, sir" is construed as resisting arrest. I live in a big city and see it every day. I watched a young Asian kid get kicked and beat for standing on a wall, crazy!
So trumpet the asian kids case, if its bulet proof unlike this case. Thats my point and i can tell you understand. This lady was wrong. She broke the law. Trying to prove a legitimate point with a case like this leads to failure. Failure leads to it being harder to get an investigation next time, next time something REALLY happens. We as citizens need to be more careful what we fight for , as precidence will be set , and will not be over turned easily.
I don't think that this woman deserved to be tasered, look at the cops body language, he was clearly agitated a lot more than this situation called for. I was watching to cop move and you can tell right away that something is not right about him. No one deserves to be tasered in the land of the free, it's unamerican, cops today are nothing more than govt thugs raising money for the state, if they stuck to their job of upholding common law they would have our respect.
Every time a cop pulls some one over he risks being killed. Often all they have to judge the level of danger is a persons actions from the time the cherry goes on , to the time they get the ticket. This woman disobeyed orders, the same as people who have guns , and are willing to use them do. Ofcourse his body language shows stress, the guy knew the chances of him dieng skyrocketed when she disobeyed.
Its not that i think the police are not in the wrong. Its that im too intelligent to think that trying to use this case to prove it will work. Even her kids knew she was being an idiot. There IS better cases to take to the soap box, that will actually help us, instead of help the police.
I honestly believe that ending the war on drugs will go a long way towards reuniting the police with the citizens. There is such a strong us and them mentality right now and that is the inevitable outcome of a war on consent crime. Young thugs use the huge markup on drugs to buy high power firepower, police view every citizen as a potential killer... This shit needs to stop. America is on it's way into the toilet. This is what precedes the collapse of a society.
There are much bigger issues then this , google "us czar" read up. Yes making marijuana legal would take billions of $ out of the black market... Making other drugs legal will end in death , period . Simply speaking the only benefit of legalizing it is to take the money out of the black market. Not that this isnt a good idea, just we got WAY WAY bigger issues.
Welcome to socialist america. Unless we stop wasting our time on stuff like this , while our country is taken from within.
Both Heroin and Cocaine were legal before, heroin was marketed by Bayer. You used to be able to buy needles with morphine right out of the sears catalog. The rate of drug use is EXACTLY the same as it was before the WOD. All the war does is make criminals rich. If we ended the WOD we could spend 10% of the amount on treatment and have better results.
I do agree , 10% or close would probably have a similar effect. But I dont think it would have any effect on the real situations of police brutality, corrupt power holders, corrupt law makers making our fourth amendment rights a thing of the past. The trade off , is having no petty way of arresting the hard core criminals.
We wouldn't need so many police without the wod. That is one of the major problems with the wod, the number of police and the power they have now, and it's all been in the name of the WOD. We could fire half the police in America and put them to work productively.
You have failed to shoot down anything friend. You state your opinions as if they are fact and expect for this to hold the burden of truth in and of itself.
Don't speak to me like a child, if you would like to actually make a meaningful dialogue make a response video and I will do the same to yours
I am a successful individual in the business world, I work for "the man" and am quite happy with my lifestyle. Do I take issue with people infringing on ym liberties? Hell yes, we all should.
I refuse to see a threat because I do not see one... she was not abusive nor "disruptive" unless you call questioning authority when it is wrong disruptive.
A. Stop putting words in my mouth. I did not say that she was some poor victim. I also did not say it is a different story.
At school? How pejorative.... No, I do however do mediations for a living. Where people pay me to resolve conflicts when other people cannot, thanks though pumpkin.
That is fine. But it has been held up in the supremem cop that insulting a cop is completely legal and not an abuse of the first amendment. I can find the case if need be.
He is a cop, he deals with attitude everyday. It is part of the job description, he should have handled the situation very differently.
I posed this because you seem to deem her as a threat universally. i will be nice and say the officer outweighs me by 50 lbs. and has a few inches of height on me. he could have handled this differently where it would not have escalated to outrage, but even as an outraged woman there are very simple ways to make sure she does not use the car as a threat.
Simply put you are falling back on the car, when she never showed any malice in or out of the car.
Man, you need to learn to apply a logical progression to your agruments. this is like follow the bouncing ball on so many points it is impossible to address.
A fact is a supported statement by empirical evidence, all of your statements lack backing.
Finally, I do not care about possibilities. I only care about what happened and this police officer's gross over-reaction.
Your statement was uninformed, that is the definition of ignorant.
I was not questioning your manhood, I was affirming that I do not think you or i would deem this woman as a threat to our personal safety.
You were out of your area of knowledge, one of my degrees is in political science and the other is in philosophy. When you talk about rightws, you are oncer again speaking on something which you are not informed on.
And no, I am not frustrated nor seeking some sort of edge. I am someone who believes in liberties, and when they are infringed on I react, as we all should.
I do not think I will continue this conversation as time and time again you turn to personal attacks when who I am or anythign within my personal life has nothing to do with the discourse.
Ad hominem attacks are a weak-minded response. Thanks though.
I respectfully disagree with your assessment though, and I am sure neither of us will convince the other.
I think he acted like a normal person would when faced with a person who disagrees with them. he got upset, he over-reacted and lost his cool.
This gentleman is not a normal person though, he is a police officer. He has to maintain his cool and enforce the law. To be honest, he seems like a hot-headed man who did not like a woman talking back and disrespecting him. We deserve better.
Ok. This is something you need to grasp. A mere assertation does not make a statement a fact. You rely on this tactic heavily, but it simply is not logical.
Second, the fact that should not be contested is another case of you making an assertation. You say that she should not have defended her liberties while they were being violated, then when should you? We all know in court a cop's word trumps the citizen. 100%
And lastly, another blanket assertation. You assert she was a threat, I assert she was not. I have given you justification on my reasoinging. You use a blanket statement, threat assessment is vital.
You are just so endoctrinated in the follower position that you cannot see that this woman posed no threat. What about the 72 year old woman? What about the young teens constantly tasered?
I am not a large man and do not carry weapons and do not perceive this woman as a threat... do you?
Ok, I have watched the full video and did she make a poor decision? Probably. Did the officcer still grossly over-react and use the taser before any real attempt to calm the woman down and handle the situation like an adult? Hell yes he did.
Sigh, this is what happens when people talk about "rights". Here you have completely over-stepped your knowledge, let me correct you.
When one feels that their liberties are being violated it is their obligation, not their right, to act against the force.
Furthermore, I cannot believe you continue to defend someone who falsely accused an individual, then when the innocent party reacted (given maybe not ideally), the false accuser used excessive force.
Ok I will ignore youre ignorant rant for the second half of this comment.
Addressing the first half, yes we can make that comparison. That is the beauty of a comparison is compares the similarities o two different things. Let's see the basis for my comparison, a police force which cannot be opposed and an injust accusation met with excessive force. Now you would say that these are not on the same scale (and you are right) but that is the point. When you give away your liberty it is gone.
Sorry for your loss, tazer's are bull shit. It can be compared to a drug dealer saying hey buddy crack is safe , it doesnt hurt you. . . and the kid who bought it using it freely under this assumption. The authorities label the tazer as non lethal , but it is PROVEN to kill people. The same as it is your obligation to research the facts and u dont, its the cops obligation to research the tazer and make his own mind to use it , or to deem it dangerous. I can hold the cop nomore liable thenu
You might be an uneducated fuck.... But sadly your right. She broke the law, the officer responded with what he had. He could have shot her, and been in the clear when she leaned in the car.
I am curious how some one can talk like a fat bitch... you must mean disregarding a direct order from the copper. Read a book it will help your vocabulary.
Ah ad hominem attacks... I see we have digressed to this.
And by your rationale the Jews who resisted arrest and detainment from the Nazi's were wrong? If you follow your line of reasoning that is the only conclusion you can possibly draw and have a consist set of logical beliefs.
I know this is extreme, but allowing police power to have 100% obeyance is dangerous and this is a direct threat to each of our liberties.
Absolutely right papawoddee, dont ever question authority. Its best we just listen to what authority tells us while we watch American Gladiators and guzzle big gulps.
Youre right man. This soccer mom was dangerous. She got out of that car ready to kill. No responsibility!
Where do you draw this line? Rely on due process without waiver?
If a cop tells me that my brother killed someone and brutally beats him, despite him being with me at the time of the supposed crime, should I stand back and watch the beating? Hoping that they do not seriously injure/kill him? There is a difference between appropriate action and abuse of police power. I agree if you are in the wrong obey, but abuse of power must be stopped by those that are able. That is defending liberty.
Oh come on man, I take it from your pejorative tone that you are a cop? If so, would you have reacted the same way?
If not, then please find a flaw in my logic. There was no aggressive body language, there was no threatening movements, swearing, or anythign else. When a person is outraged for beign falsely accused, there is something wrong with this?
What's wrong with America is the critics? Jesus man, do you even know any American history?
Yes, I suppose so. I assess no threat from my nephew (who is 4) running up to me, it is not stereotyping it is threat analysis.
Other than just her sex/age, she had no body language escalating conflict or posing a threat. On the contrary, her hands were visible and she was backed full-faced to the officer with no sudden movements.
I dumped a girl, she got mad , accused me of hitting her, while i was at home sleeping off the hangover from the night before. I got a call from the police asking me to come in and make a statement. I went and spent almost 4 days in jail, for something i couldnt have done as i was sleeping. Went to court , got the charges dropped. Did i do any thing wrong but date a crazy woman ? no. did i get detained. yes. was it lawful, yes. you sir are wrong.

KayBeeEee1983 11 months ago
Did anyone notice the today show edited this woman's explanation to the newspaper? they left out "He asked me to get back in the car and again I said show me the tape, please show me the tape" the show gives the impression the cop pulled out his taser and tried to arrest her immediately after she exited her car. The reality is that he REPEATEDLY told her to get back in the car and she refused, so he placed her under arrest. she got back in her car, and the cop pulled her back out of the car.

A fatal flaw of this incident is the audio. We dont know how she was expressing her words. She could have been a bitch to him. ZeroTails666 2 years ago
The video with audio clearly proves that he said to get back into her vehicle, and never said not to get into her car. Once she was in her car he told her to get out of her car. Plain and clear, he over reacted, as many of these egomaniacs do. There are some officers that are great officers, but too many of these guys think they can do anything, and I have video footage of their out of control speeding that proves it.
nidodson 2 years ago
I think there are more examples of police doing great things for the community, and helping people, preventing crime, and catching the bad guys then there are of police brutality and poor decisions. I think that the brutality and bad decisions are just broadcasted and shown more becasue it gets more ratings and viewers. "to many of these guys" is an over statement. I think using the words a select few, would be closer.
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
And I think that police don't do their damn job, and could make a far better impact on the communities than they do. Instead they are lazy, and instead of going after serious criminals or people breaking traffic laws that could kill people, even their fellow officers, they go after people for minor infractions like going 3mph over the speed limit, or other like crimes that could be just as much a mechanical problem with the vehicle.
nidodson 2 years ago
I don't know what the cops are like where you live, but you got to be going WAY more than 3 over, more like 10-15. Like I siad before "some" do what you mentioned above, MOST don't. Cops here just caught a guy convicted of homicide and there are major drug busts all the time. I'm guessing you think all cops are lazy and d-bags because one time you got pulled over for going 3 over. If that's the case that doesn't mean every cop does.
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
More like half the people I know have gotten pulled over from going 1-3 over the limit. If it was just one person, then I would have just assumed the guy was having a bad day and wanted to be a dick.
Still I see cops at least once a month going 30-50+ over the speed limit without emergency lights or anything, different departments, different cars, definitely different officers.
There are more bad cops than you want to act like bud. It is a common fact that we know is wrong with our society.
nidodson 2 years ago
Well in this case I guess it's dependent on where you live, nothing like that happens here on a regular basis..
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
That you know of.
The rate of it is disputed because they cover each other.
nidodson 2 years ago
Well i think you would feel differently if it was your mum, sister, son, dad, friend or YOU this was happening to. yet lets not even take this video, look at all the others.

SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
im sure that the police actrually do good things and its not that i have a problem with, they get paid to do those good things, but you write "all the GOOD things not recorded" like it excuses what there doing here.... well i have news for you, it doesnt. And the truth is it is INEXCUSABLE, funny how your the only person in the comments who has something positive to say about the police.... notice a pattern?
64
kaspastarr 2 years ago
I'm not defending this cop in particular, his ass should be fired if not jailed. I'm defending cops in general from "fuck the police" and "pigs are corrupt" comments. If you took the worst videos of a group of people of course they'll ALL look bad but their not. Thats all I'm saying, that unless you know every single police officer in the USA is corrupt first hand then there is no justification in comments like that.
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
1st of all i never said those things, but lets stop for a second and think why WOULD people say those things about the police? I think statments like "all police are corrupt" is a generalisation. The police would never generalise any one would they.... say black people, all police treat everyone equally? Right? its not individual cases that bring about bad stigma towards police, maby the ploice should be more carefull as an institution about there image?
64
kaspastarr 2 years ago
I never accused you of saying things like that, I just said those are the comments I'm defending police from. And police as a whole are trained not to generalize to the best of their nature but ALL HUMANS DO. There is not a single person on this earth who doesn't profile. An article I read said that police that participated in a shoot no shoot simulation were 4x less likely to shoot a person of the opposite race holding a phone to look like a gun (compared to the general public)
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
Humans stereotype, some cops do to a point where it effects their ability to do their job well, these officers should be fired. But the majority of them do their job and do it well.
p.s. I'm glad we can argue like adults with out swearing and bashing like most people on youtube.
SpartanicalSystem 2 years ago
Resisting arrest??? What arrest was she resisting?!?!? Those "resisting arrest" and "disorderly conduct" charges are a carte blanche for police to arrest anyone they simply have a beef with. Even worse in parts of Canada where it's now ILLEGAL to insult a police officer!!! "You're under arrest" "Okay, but you're a dick" taser, taser, taser. "Why did you taser him?" You realize the video you just watched... with its 5 minutes of repeating garbage audio, is a media production. Notice in this production you dont know what she is saying.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Finally, There are true cases of police brutality out there that we can all agree on. There are NSA rules regarding search and seizure of electronics devices at borders that dissolve your fourth amendment rights. These things cannot be argued. These things are what you guys need to get on the soap box about because you actually stand a chance at winning the argument. at making a change occur. This case is not wise to fight for , as she clearly broke the law. You cant win.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
I am a white 28 year old male , And i can say with out doubt the only reason this made the press is this woman is white has kids, and drives a mini van. Because of this the video was edited to make it seem like it was some great injustice when she broke the law. If she was black no one would give a shit , Its up to us to research the facts before we go up on a soap box to defend people because they are white. If she was black and broke the law noone would care why do we now , causeshe iswhite?
goddamusernames 2 years ago
The sad truth is this is a media production , taking a case that is clearly NOT police brutality and censoring parts that make this clear, this is meant to enrage the population, get them to demand action, and have it disproven to make it that much harder for reform to come. The media is NOT your friend. And blindly following the medias lead will not lead to reform, it will lead to what your all trying to protest. This just isnt a case that should draw your attention.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
I find it funny that utube allows you to rate posts, but throttles you if you choose to participate. The reality is pushing this womans case as a case of police brutality will only help the police who abuse their power. This case can be PROVEN to be a case of she broke the law , and the cop reacted within his right. Trying to use this case to further reform will only hurt the cause as she was wrong. Why dont you people see this fact.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Exactly. It doesnt mean that the activist who trumpet this specific womans ordeal are wrong that the system is full of problems , or that our rights are being disolved every day....
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago

i am confused as to what you think you are proving by disputing her staying in the car, doing something against the law in protest of unfair action.... still sounds like rosa parks (moving and not moving are both actions)
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Rosa Parks also broke the law. She was fighting was she deemed as injustice, she did it non-violently and faced harsh consequences for doing so. Many people thought segregration was a fair and just law at the time. Where is the difference?
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
End of story, as you say, is that you are one who follows because it is the law. I am one who follows as long as the laws are moral and do not infringe on my liberties.
That being said you will not see me on one of these videos because I too more than likely would acquiesce to what was asked of me.

HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Really? Haha i do not even know how to answer this. The fact that he was a slave owner is not only a non-factor it is a terrible argument. Of course he was a slave owner, that is relative to the time period in which he lived. Where, and get this, it was not IMMORAL to have slaves.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Haha "you don't know right from wrong".
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Haha and by your reasoning the Jews who defied Nazi laws were either children or criminals. I will take being a child or criminal then to obey to any authority which are impeeding my liberties.

That's right, easy way out as "you couldn't possibly understand".
That is like the religious person who claims to have proof of God, that you have to be a believer to see. It holds no weight in intellectual discourse.

Furthermore, you speak of my age as if it is a factor in my views, and maybe it is.
But would it be fair for me to say that since you are 41 you have had your dreams and hopes crashed down around you? You're right it is me that is failing to "cummunicate".
And as for you questioning my skills in mediation, I viewed evidence, heard available fact and made an assessment based on reason. You are right, I fail.
Also your assertation of her"being in charge" is completely biased. As I have said she reacted poorly, but within reason given false accusal in front of her children.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Cause having kids gives you the right to break the law. Guess i gotta get some kids so I can do what ever the hell i want. If she wants to save face to her children take them to court and have it thrown out.

authority is just another word for power. and as a human its only natural to fight authority!you sound like a cop with your respect authority.respect is only given when earned! you should know that.

She broke every commonly known rule about being pulled over.
1. sit still be calm,
2. speak when spoken too. You didnt pull him over.
3. hands in the open and empty , wait to be asked for something before getting it (ie insurance)
4. be polite , that asshole is the one who will come to your rescue when some one is trying to kill you.
Make it idiot proof some one will make a better idiot.

Even her kids know better then to get out of the car ,
goddamusernames 2 years ago
How can you possibly say these things? Police have become extremely abusive and they have abused the non-lethal weapons they have been given. Would it have been appropriate to shoot or beat her with the baton? Of course not. This idea that the police are an unquestionable authority is sick. The war on drugs is what is growing this police state we live in and justifying the constantly growing power and number of police.
christo930 2 years ago
Yes when she leaned in the car after refusing to get back in, and resisting arrest it is fair of the officer to assume she is going for a gun and he could have shot and killed her and been in the clear. The police ARE questionable..... IN COURT not on the street.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Look, verbally protesting an arrest hardly qualifies as resisting arrest. I don't know where the cop fans in this thread live, but I live in a big city and I see police brutality every day. From beatings, to tazing to harassing citizens...
If a cop tells me I am under arrest and I say "officer please don't arrest me in front of my family, I don't want to go to jail..." it's hardly resisting arrest. But by today's standards it is, and they beat you and taze you for it. This was abuse of power.
christo930 2 years ago
Yes these things happen And yes I agree that there should be a movement by the citizens against it. But using this woman as an example of the "police state" or police brutality just doesnt help the cause. Verbally protesting is fine, from within the car. If your told to get back in , get back in. This woman took it too far, if she got tazed while in the car its police brutality.... she disobeyed a cops order. Trumpeting cases like this that can be argued (rightfully so) doesnt help.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Even if you throw this case completely out, the police are absolutely out of control. It's counterproductive to effective policing anyway. Do the police want a citizen to be afraid of the police and untrusting of the police?
The law for "resisting arrest" has gotten rediculus. Anything besides "yes sir, arrest me sir, do what you please, sir" is construed as resisting arrest. I live in a big city and see it every day. I watched a young Asian kid get kicked and beat for standing on a wall, crazy!
christo930 2 years ago
So trumpet the asian kids case, if its bulet proof unlike this case. Thats my point and i can tell you understand. This lady was wrong. She broke the law. Trying to prove a legitimate point with a case like this leads to failure. Failure leads to it being harder to get an investigation next time, next time something REALLY happens. We as citizens need to be more careful what we fight for , as precidence will be set , and will not be over turned easily.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
I don't think that this woman deserved to be tasered, look at the cops body language, he was clearly agitated a lot more than this situation called for. I was watching to cop move and you can tell right away that something is not right about him. No one deserves to be tasered in the land of the free, it's unamerican, cops today are nothing more than govt thugs raising money for the state, if they stuck to their job of upholding common law they would have our respect.
rayme4raw 2 years ago
Every time a cop pulls some one over he risks being killed. Often all they have to judge the level of danger is a persons actions from the time the cherry goes on , to the time they get the ticket. This woman disobeyed orders, the same as people who have guns , and are willing to use them do. Ofcourse his body language shows stress, the guy knew the chances of him dieng skyrocketed when she disobeyed.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Its not that i think the police are not in the wrong. Its that im too intelligent to think that trying to use this case to prove it will work. Even her kids knew she was being an idiot. There IS better cases to take to the soap box, that will actually help us, instead of help the police.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
I honestly believe that ending the war on drugs will go a long way towards reuniting the police with the citizens. There is such a strong us and them mentality right now and that is the inevitable outcome of a war on consent crime. Young thugs use the huge markup on drugs to buy high power firepower, police view every citizen as a potential killer... This shit needs to stop. America is on it's way into the toilet. This is what precedes the collapse of a society.
christo930 2 years ago
There are much bigger issues then this , google "us czar" read up. Yes making marijuana legal would take billions of $ out of the black market... Making other drugs legal will end in death , period . Simply speaking the only benefit of legalizing it is to take the money out of the black market. Not that this isnt a good idea, just we got WAY WAY bigger issues.
Welcome to socialist america. Unless we stop wasting our time on stuff like this , while our country is taken from within.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
Both Heroin and Cocaine were legal before, heroin was marketed by Bayer. You used to be able to buy needles with morphine right out of the sears catalog. The rate of drug use is EXACTLY the same as it was before the WOD. All the war does is make criminals rich. If we ended the WOD we could spend 10% of the amount on treatment and have better results.
christo930 2 years ago
I do agree , 10% or close would probably have a similar effect. But I dont think it would have any effect on the real situations of police brutality, corrupt power holders, corrupt law makers making our fourth amendment rights a thing of the past. The trade off , is having no petty way of arresting the hard core criminals.
goddamusernames 2 years ago
We wouldn't need so many police without the wod. That is one of the major problems with the wod, the number of police and the power they have now, and it's all been in the name of the WOD. We could fire half the police in America and put them to work productively.
christo930 2 years ago
You have failed to shoot down anything friend. You state your opinions as if they are fact and expect for this to hold the burden of truth in and of itself.
Don't speak to me like a child, if you would like to actually make a meaningful dialogue make a response video and I will do the same to yours

HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
supreme court*
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
I posed this because you seem to deem her as a threat universally. i will be nice and say the officer outweighs me by 50 lbs. and has a few inches of height on me. he could have handled this differently where it would not have escalated to outrage, but even as an outraged woman there are very simple ways to make sure she does not use the car as a threat.
Simply put you are falling back on the car, when she never showed any malice in or out of the car.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Man, you need to learn to apply a logical progression to your agruments. this is like follow the bouncing ball on so many points it is impossible to address.
A fact is a supported statement by empirical evidence, all of your statements lack backing.
Finally, I do not care about possibilities. I only care about what happened and this police officer's gross over-reaction.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Your statement was uninformed, that is the definition of ignorant.
I was not questioning your manhood, I was affirming that I do not think you or i would deem this woman as a threat to our personal safety.
You were out of your area of knowledge, one of my degrees is in political science and the other is in philosophy. When you talk about rightws, you are oncer again speaking on something which you are not informed on.
You say you follow, I called you a follower.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
You are so pejorative in your general tone that you honestly do not merit a response.
I feel no need to answer your numerous personal statements about me and think you should evaluate how you engage people.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
And no, I am not frustrated nor seeking some sort of edge. I am someone who believes in liberties, and when they are infringed on I react, as we all should.
I do not think I will continue this conversation as time and time again you turn to personal attacks when who I am or anythign within my personal life has nothing to do with the discourse.
Ad hominem attacks are a weak-minded response. Thanks though.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
1. Name calling limits your credibility
2. An assertation does not make it a fact.
3. If you present a fact, I can answer it, you have stated little more than your opinion
4. I am no conspiracy theorist.
5. If it is a cop's word vs. a citizen's, the cop will automatically be taken with more weight.
This turning it around me is a weak way to admit you are losing this argument. It is a rather dispicable way to address someone actually.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
I respectfully disagree with your assessment though, and I am sure neither of us will convince the other.
I think he acted like a normal person would when faced with a person who disagrees with them. he got upset, he over-reacted and lost his cool.
This gentleman is not a normal person though, he is a police officer. He has to maintain his cool and enforce the law. To be honest, he seems like a hot-headed man who did not like a woman talking back and disrespecting him. We deserve better.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
And lastly, another blanket assertation. You assert she was a threat, I assert she was not. I have given you justification on my reasoinging. You use a blanket statement, threat assessment is vital.
You are just so endoctrinated in the follower position that you cannot see that this woman posed no threat. What about the 72 year old woman? What about the young teens constantly tasered?
I am not a large man and do not carry weapons and do not perceive this woman as a threat... do you?
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Ok, I have watched the full video and did she make a poor decision? Probably. Did the officcer still grossly over-react and use the taser before any real attempt to calm the woman down and handle the situation like an adult? Hell yes he did.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Sigh, this is what happens when people talk about "rights". Here you have completely over-stepped your knowledge, let me correct you.
When one feels that their liberties are being violated it is their obligation, not their right, to act against the force.
Furthermore, I cannot believe you continue to defend someone who falsely accused an individual, then when the innocent party reacted (given maybe not ideally), the false accuser used excessive force.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Ok I will ignore youre ignorant rant for the second half of this comment.
Addressing the first half, yes we can make that comparison. That is the beauty of a comparison is compares the similarities o two different things. Let's see the basis for my comparison, a police force which cannot be opposed and an injust accusation met with excessive force. Now you would say that these are not on the same scale (and you are right) but that is the point. When you give away your liberty it is gone.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
If that was my mom, I would have got out and beat that officers ass - or, would have tried to.
My friend died from a taser. R.I.P.
cwade12c 2 years ago
Sorry for your loss, tazer's are bull shit. It can be compared to a drug dealer saying hey buddy crack is safe , it doesnt hurt you. . . and the kid who bought it using it freely under this assumption. The authorities label the tazer as non lethal , but it is PROVEN to kill people. The same as it is your obligation to research the facts and u dont, its the cops obligation to research the tazer and make his own mind to use it , or to deem it dangerous. I can hold the cop nomore liable thenu
goddamusernames 2 years ago
She shound'nt have spoken like a fat bitch i would have shot her then stuck the tazer up her cunt on full blast
realkingkado 2 years ago

HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Absolutely right papawoddee, dont ever question authority. Its best we just listen to what authority tells us while we watch American Gladiators and guzzle big gulps.
Youre right man. This soccer mom was dangerous. She got out of that car ready to kill. No responsibility!
ourlucidream 2 years ago 3
Where do you draw this line? Rely on due process without waiver?
If a cop tells me that my brother killed someone and brutally beats him, despite him being with me at the time of the supposed crime, should I stand back and watch the beating? Hoping that they do not seriously injure/kill him? There is a difference between appropriate action and abuse of police power. I agree if you are in the wrong obey, but abuse of power must be stopped by those that are able. That is defending liberty.
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Oh come on man, I take it from your pejorative tone that you are a cop? If so, would you have reacted the same way?
If not, then please find a flaw in my logic. There was no aggressive body language, there was no threatening movements, swearing, or anythign else. When a person is outraged for beign falsely accused, there is something wrong with this?
What's wrong with America is the critics? Jesus man, do you even know any American history?
HOLYdpsBATMAN 2 years ago
Yes, I suppose so. I assess no threat from my nephew (who is 4) running up to me, it is not stereotyping it is threat analysis.
Other than just her sex/age, she had no body language escalating conflict or posing a threat. On the contrary, her hands were visible and she was backed full-faced to the officer with no sudden movements.
This is textbook non-violent behavior.
